Chapter 95 Unsophisticated Bumpkin
user @TopCommentor: "A thousand dollar for a bottle of spring water?"
Henry shook his head. "I'm not selling."
Liam frowned. "You think that's too little?"
Jasper added, "There's a limit to price gouging."
Although they were wealthy, they didn't want to be swindled. The eyes of the guests immediately showed a slight mockery toward Henry.
Henry ignored their gazes and simply took out a bottle of outdoor water, which he had filled in a plastic bottle, from his backpack and handed it to them.
"Kendall and I walked for two hours round-trip in the forest to find this.
I don't have many bottles, so I can't sell them to you, but I can give you one.
This is water from the creek, you must boil it before you drink it. "
Jasper and the others looked at the water Henry offered but didn't take it, instead saying with disgust, "Why did you use a plastic bottle? Is this plastic bottle... one you drank from before?"
"I drank from it, but I cleaned it." Henry did have bamboo tubes full of water and one unopened plastic bottle of water in his backpack.
However, the bamboo tubes were a gift from Kendall, and he planned to keep them as a souvenir after the show, so he certainly couldn't give those away.
The last remaining plastic bottle of water was part of the supplies from the supply bag Kendall had just found.
Kendall had specifically shared it with him, so he wouldn't use that to do favours for others.
Seeing that after he spoke, the guests still looked disgusted and hesitant to take the water, Henry simply took the bottle back. "If you don't want it, fine. You can go to the forest and get water yourselves. Or go look for a supply bag, the program team put supplies in them."
Jasper frowned and asked, "You found a supply bag?"
Henry nodded. He originally wanted to say that Kendall had found one, but he suddenly remembered that Kendall had beaten Jasper this morning, so he swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue.
Everyone stared intently at Henry's backpack. "Where is the supply bag? Show us what's in it."
"It was opened in the forest," Henry said vaguely, "There was some food and a little to drink inside. Kendall and I were hungry from walking in the forest, so we split and ate it."
user @UnbiasedOpinion: "Hahahaha, the ordinary guy is smart! Don't be nice to them! They stole your flatbread!"
user @CoolUncle: "Yes! Keep the things in your backpack for yourself, and keep the water to drink yourself!"
user @KingDaniel: "What? He has things in his backpack too?"
user @SophiaIsMyWife: "Heh heh, why not take out the food in your backpack and share it with everyone?"
user @DieHardEzraFan: "This ordinary guy is so selfish! Ezra and the others haven't eaten much all day! They've been hungry for a day and a night!"
user @SiSiOnTop: "What the heck? Where did these idiotic comments come from?"
user @RainDrop: "Why are there suddenly so many aggressive remarks?"
user @QueenBee: "Oh no. Since Kendall and Henry came out of the forest and the groups merged, the two live streams automatically combined into one again."
user @UnapologeticallyHonest: "Speechless... Can't the program team give Kendall and Henry a separate live stream? I don't want to see certain people's brain-dead fans."
user @GoddessMia: "What do you mean by that? Are you trying to start a fight?"
user @KindestMia: "Oh? Haven't seen them for half a day, and even someone with morals worse than dirt like Kendall has fans now?"
Kendall, who was walking a few steps behind Henry, emerged from the forest. She watched the guests surrounding Henry and talking, and walked past them without changing her expression.
At the same time, Kendall saw the four extra tents of different colours that had appeared inexplicably not far from her own tent. Those four tents had clearly suffered some damage last night, their exteriors were dirty and couldn't compare to Kendall and Henry's tents.
Kendall only glanced at them before losing interest.
This area wasn't her territory, so as long as Mia and the others didn't bother her, Kendall had no objection to their arrival.
Kendall walked into her tent with her backpack.
The moment she stepped inside, Kendall immediately sensed something was wrong.
Before she left, she had intentionally taken things out of her backpack and placed them neatly on the waterproof tarp.
But now, those perfectly arranged items had been disturbed.
She had specifically closed the zipper before leaving, and the new tent had no holes, so there was no possibility of an animal getting in and messing things up.
Kendall's eyes darkened. The foot she had placed inside the tent was immediately pulled back. Kendall turned to Jasper and the others, her tone icy. "Who went into my tent?"
Henry's eyes widened, his expression somewhat confused, as if he couldn't believe what he had just heard.
Ezra and Daniel's group, of course, knew who went into Kendall's tent, but they looked at each other and said nothing.
Liam couldn't stand Kendall's tone, which sounded like she was questioning a criminal. He frowned and said, "I went in. What about it? I was a little hungry just now and wanted to see if there was any food in your tent, but I didn't see any."
As he finished speaking, Liam's tone carried a hint of complaint.
Then, he seemed to remember something. He raised his hand and patted Henry on the shoulder with a very familiar tone.
"I also went into your tent just now and ate some of your flatbread.
When we get back from this deserted island, I'll transfer the cost to you. "
"Ah?!" Henry exclaimed in shock.
That bag of flatbread was handmade by his grandmother before he came on the show. It was the only food Henry had brought from outside the island.
Henry was anxious. "How much did you eat?" In truth, he wanted to ask Liam why he entered his and Kendall's tents without their permission. The tents were everyone's only shelter and their private space. What was the difference between Liam's actions and a burglar's?
Henry turned his head, a little angry.
Liam casually pointed to Henry's tent with an indifferent look. "That flatbread was too dry and hard, it hurt my teeth. We didn't finish it. The rest is back in your tent. Go check the cost, and I'll transfer it to you later."
"It's not about the money," Henry clenched his fist and said angrily, "Taking something without permission is theft. I hope next time you take my things, you'll ask first."
Hearing Henry's words, Liam was also unhappy. Raised in wealth and comfort since childhood, it was the first time he had ever been called a thief.
Liam scoffed coldly. "Do you think I wanted your stuff? That thing was dry and hard! If the program team hadn't been so late, I wouldn't even take something like that if you gave it to me for free!"
user @CalmMind: "Is Mia's second brother being a little too much?"
user @PeachBlossom: "Wow, he took someone's belongings and then spoke with a superior attitude."
user @AngryTeen: "I've never been so turned off by someone. Stealing someone's things and being so self-righteous about it!"
user @UnbiasedOpinion: "So many people liked Mia's second brother yesterday, thinking he was handsome and rich, and now he's crashed and burned in less than a day."
user @QueenMia: "Don't say such mean things, okay? Mia's second brother said he would pay for it."
user @MiaLove: "Exactly, he even came forward and admitted what he did, he's still very responsible."
user @MiaRedHeart: "The food's been eaten, and he said he'll pay for it. What more do you want?"
user @CoolUncle: "...I've lived long enough to see everything."
"Brother Liam, don't say that." Mia quickly stepped forward to block Liam.
Then, she looked at Henry with a soft, delicate face, biting her lip, and said, "I'm sorry.
I was too hungry, and my second brother was worried about me, that's why he.
.. took your flatbread. I apologize for him.
When the program team arrives, we will definitely compensate you ten times the price. "
user @GoddessMia: "Mia is truly so good! She even stepped up to apologize for her brother."
user @MiaNumberOneFan: "Yes, our Mia has always been very polite!"
user @PrincessRuRu: "...Laughing so hard. If she hadn't kept saying she was hungry, Liam wouldn't have gone through Kendall and Henry's tents at all."
With Mia saying that and humbling herself so much, Henry suddenly felt a little embarrassed.
"Forget it... I'll go check my flatbread."
Seeing how focused he was on the few pieces of flatbread, looking like an unsophisticated bumpkin, Liam rolled his eyes. Then, his gaze shifted and met Kendall's ice-cold stare.
