Chapter 104 Ask Kendall For A Bite
Just as the audience in front of their screens was shocked by Kendall's flexibility and grace, Kendall was also a bit confused.
Based on the probability of her and Henry encountering rabbits and chickens in the forest yesterday, she should have found prey after being in the forest for this long.
But she hadn't seen a single rabbit or chicken. Even with the advantage of swinging on vines, which allowed her to stand high and see far, Kendall didn't notice any movement in the surrounding grass.
Kendall simply used the force from a vine, took a powerful leap, and twisted her body in midair. She reached out, grabbed a protruding tree branch with her five fingers, pulled herself up with her arms, and climbed onto the tree. In an instant, Kendall was sitting steadily on the high branch.
Seeing her movements, the audience felt their minds were trembling even more.
user @FreeBird: "???"
user @ExerciseFreak: "Kendall's flexibility and athleticism are so great. It's a shame she's not a professional athlete."
user @HotCocoa: "I feel like I have a head full of question marks. How did she get up on that branch?"
user @EagleEyes: "I saw it... she went like this, and then like that, and then she was up there..."
user @CoolUncle: "Yep, it's true. Watching Kendall do it, it seems so effortless, as if it's no problem at all. It makes me feel like I could do it too."
user @LazyPanda: "In your dreams. Just the vine swinging would stop you."
user @CuriousCat: "Why is she sitting on the branch? Is she tired?"
Kendall sat on the branch three meters above the ground, turning her head to look around. When her eyes fell on a certain patch of rustling grass, she finally spotted a lone rabbit.
The rabbit was covered in grey fur, plump and chubby. It looked like the same breed as the two Kendall caught yesterday.
Kendall didn't act immediately. She watched the rabbit for a while, waiting for it to relax its guard while it ate happily. Then, she suddenly leaped down from the branch, using the vine for momentum, and ran toward the rabbit.
When Kendall hunted, she was extremely focused, her eyes locked on her prey. Her body moved swiftly, and her entire being exuded a cold, fierce determination.
The rabbit was quickly held in Kendall's hand. Then, Kendall turned and went to the other side to catch a small hen she had spotted while on the tree branch.
user @MakeMeNoodles: "I don't know why, but when Kendall hunts with her bare hands, it feels like I'm watching a wildlife documentary."
user @PrincessRuRu: "Me too!!!"
user @CrazyAboutYou: "Ahhh, someone finally said it! I've wanted to say that since I watched her catch those two rabbits yesterday!"
user @CalmMind: "Holy crap, I didn't think about it until you said something, but it's totally true!"
user @RainDrop: "No wonder! I was just thinking that her posture, running while staring at her prey, seemed so familiar. Isn't that exactly how carnivores hunt?!"
user @DynamoGirl: "Ahhh? This is a bit too much, right?"
user @WildlifeExpert: "It's true! Have you guys never watched animal documentaries? Go watch one, pick a scene from the jungle, or a scene with lions and leopards. After you watch it, you'll agree with me. Kendall looks like she was carved from the same mould."
user @KindHeart: "Ahem... Is this... a roundabout way of calling Kendall an animal?"
Kendall had no idea what she had just revealed. With the hen in her left hand and the rabbit in her right, she followed the path she had taken to get back. Along the way, she picked some wild mint and basil when she saw them. The basil could be used as a seasoning, and it might come in handy.
Kendall walked fast. By the time she came out of the forest, Henry was cooking fish in front of the tent.
Kendall's return, fully loaded with a hen in one hand and a rabbit in the other, completely shocked everyone.
Besides Henry, the other guests sitting outside the tent stared at the hen and the rabbit in Kendall's hands.
user @LoveShowingOff: "Hahahaha, look at the other guest's expressions. Their eyes are practically glued to the rabbit and hen."
user @QueenBee: "Ezra is staring at the hen in Kendall's hand and seems to be secretly swallowing."
user @SleepingAuntie: "Poor kids. It seems like it's been a few days since they've had any meat."
user @PeachBlossom: "Be more confident. Take out the 'it seems' part. They haven't had any meat since they got on this island."
Ezra, hungry and craving, rolled his eyes and muttered to Elijah beside him, "How can she catch rabbits every day?"
Elijah responded dully, "I don't know... Maybe it's just luck."
Jasper and Liam had just finished dealing with Mia and Sophia's fight. The two were squatting in front of Mia, comforting her. The moment Kendall appeared with the hen and the rabbit, their eyes were instantly drawn to the prey in Kendall's hands.
Liam nudged Jasper's arm. "Is it really that easy to catch rabbits? Why didn't you guys catch any?"
Jasper didn't know what to say. This morning, four grown men had finally found a hen and chased it for a long time but couldn't catch it. Later, Ezra found a rabbit, and the four of them once again surrounded and tried to capture it, but they didn't even touch a single hair on the rabbit!
Jasper could only say, "You'll know once you try it in the forest yourself."
Mia was in a terrible mood. She and Sophia had a messy fight in the tent, and now Kendall had returned fully loaded with prey.
Mia felt a surge of resentment, but the hunger in her body was undeniable. She tugged on Liam's sleeve and whimpered in a small voice, "Brother Liam, I'm so hungry. Can you talk to Kendall and ask her to share some of that chicken and rabbit with us?"
user @InterestedPasserby: "Hmm? What did I just hear?"
user @JustHereForFun: "Where did this beggar come from?"
user @UnapologeticallyHonest: "How can Mia say something like that? Did she forget that Kendall just taught them a harsh lesson yesterday?"
