The Eight Pranks of April (Hot Mess Why Choose Holidays #1)
Foreword
The Men:
You’ll notice I don’t spend much time describing what everyone looks like, that’s on purpose.
I want the personalities to do the heavy lifting.
I want your imagination involved, they can be as old or young, tall or short, polished or rough around the edges as you like (with one exception: Arthur is, canonically, enormous).
Build the harem accordingly. Think of it as a why-choose experience all the way down
Safe Sex:
When writing contemporary fiction, I believe in writing sex that acknowledges reality. Condoms, lube, STI results, and the conversations that come with them. I tried to build that foundation here.
Unfortunately, this book also takes place over a single, extremely unhinged slightly less than twenty-four hours. Some things had to be solved efficiently. I hope you enjoy the solution.
Timeline:
There are no fantasy elements in this book, it is set in the real world. But it’s a rom-com version of the real world, where escalation is the point, pacing is aggressive, and chaos is a feature, not a bug. You’re allowed to laugh, root for the mess, and enjoy the ride.
With that out of the way, welcome to April’s very long day.
