6. Disheveled Fellow

"My request is for the newborn tiger cub." Xu Weiyan said loudly and clearly.
BaiLong raised a brow. 'Ho? This little girl is interesting.'
Yiguang had a strange seal on her pregnancy, likely in an attempt to hide it, and the only reason Bailong knew was because he had invented the seal she used.
If he wasn't mistaken, even the emperor didn't know the tiger was pregnant...
So how did Xu Weiyan know?
The muttering intensified as Sun Liang actually staggered a step back.
"Hao!" Lord Xu applauded. "Hao-ah!"
Sun Liang jerked his head toward the tiger, and one of the fairies hurried over to her.
The fairy performed a few hand seals, then directed two of his fingers at the tiger's large paw. A stream of blue aura shot into the paw, and the fairy shut his eyes in concentration.
He came running back after some time and nodded at Sun Liang.
"How is it possible?!" Sun Liang wondered.
To their knowledge, there were only two Divine Tigers left in existence, but the second one had been Yin Xiaolong's mount, and had been asleep for thousands of years.
In fact, Sun Liang assumed he had died with Yin Xiaolong's, and he turned a furious look at WeiYan.
"You-!!"
"High Immortal Sun, I'm not asking for much." Weiyan said with a deadpan expression. "Compared to immortality, I'm settling for a creature I may never tame."
"Yes, that's not much at all!" One of the Yueyan disciples piped in. "I didn't know my *Sister was so righteous! Anyone of us here would have insisted on the chief reward!"
*(Sister here is 'Martial Sister')
"Yes! How disciplined of Disciple Xu!"
"Sister! We will learn from you!"
"She's indeed the 'Erudite Swordsman'!"
Before long, everyone was singing Weiyan's praises, but Sun Liang wasn't moved.
A Divine Light Tiger was too precious!
"I will convey your request to the Sky Emperor, and the cub will be brought to you after it has spent two weeks with its mother."
Weiyan's eyes widened slightly. "She is almost due to give birth, yet no one noticed. You can remain in the Sect, and we can make her comfortable. She can deliver and nurse the child here as well. Why make her return to Sky Realm?"
"Impudent! You want the Sky Emperor's mount to give birth in the Mortal Realm?! I have said the baby tiger will be brought to you after two weeks with its mother!"
'Injustice upon Injustice!' Bailong thought, but kept himself in check.
He could not afford to say anything here.
Weiyan shuddered at Sun Liang's words, but she recalled the day she met Yiguang.
Her hand had lightly brushed the tiger's fur, and it was as if she could see a little tiger, curled-up and sleeping within her womb.
"Congratulations." Weiyan said quietly, as she settled atop Yiguang, but there was no reply.
Then that night, she heard,
~"Human woman. What did you mean by congratulating me?"~
At first, WeiYan didn't know who owned the voice, but then remembered congratulating Yiguang.
'Aren't you pregnant?' WeiYan asked in her head.
Telepathy was an immortal technique, so she could only hope her thoughts would be heard.
Again she got no response, and she concluded that Yiguang didn't hear her. But she was unwilling to ask aloud, because Yiguang had approached with telepathy.
Then the next day,
~"Even my own master doesn't know I'm pregnant, so I spent the night wondering how you found out. I hid it well, but my seal must be weakening since I'm almost due to give birth."~
'You're hiding something like this?!' WeiYan froze. 'Isn't it dangerous for your health?! And you say you're almost due? I will get off your bac-!'
~"Don't move and draw attention!!!"~ Yiguang's voice grew panicked. ~"Frankly you're lighter than a feather!
~"Hiding the child is costing me years of cultivation, but I have my reasons. I don't want my child born in Sky Palace..."~
At present, Weiyan glanced at Yiguang.
She betrayed no emotion, but it was as if Weiyan could sense her worry.
Weiyan had promised to ask for the cub, but they hadn't foreseen the fact that Sun Liang would insist on taking Yiguang back first.
Sun Liang turned to leave and Weiyan bit her lip in frustration.
But then a voice rang out.
"That's not quite right."
Everyone turned to stare at the person who spoke, and Bailong nearly bit his tongue in annoyance.
He had spoken without thinking!
At the sight of him, everyone either shook their heads or rolled their eyes in disappointment, and through their mutters, Bailong finally learned the Human's name.
Zhang Luoyin.
The Trash of the Zhang Family.
'T- Trash????!!!!' It was a shock to Bailong's system, and he severely wished he could enter the ground.
Sixty thousand years of existence, and he had never been called trash! NOT ONCE!
He, the most genius immortal of his time, was suddenly being referred to as trash!
And as the crowd's chatter slid into his ears, he only felt worse and worse.
Zhang Luoyin was the second son of a prominent family, and had been a genius in his younger years, but had stopped growing after his mother's death.
Then he had tried a shortcut cultivation method, but only succeeded in damaging his core and meridians beyond repair.
In a Martial family like the Zhang family, he was indeed nothing but 'Trash'.

"I thought he had gone mute!" Someone observed, after hearing 'Zhang Luoyin's voice.
"And why does he look like that?!"

"Isn't he already at death's door?"
Meanwhile, Weiyan gave him an odd look.
Zhang Luoyin had rejected her in the past and then treated her like a ghost ever since.
He averted his eyes whenever she approached, and only bowed a greeting when he was forced to respond to hers.
So why help her now?
Bailong resisted the urge to slap himself.
'Why did I speak here of all places, uh?! Surrounded by people who know this 'Zhang Luoyin' more than I do!!'
"Who is this disheveled fellow?" Sun Liang's voice reminded Bailong of his interference.
Despite Sun Liang's bullying, Bailong had actually tried to hold himself back, but then a desperate voice had called to him saying,
~"Master Bailong! Will you ignore my plight?!"~
'Yiguang!' He had recognized the voice.
Bailong wondered how Yiguang recognized him, but one look at her had made him speak out without intending to!
Thankful that he had at least covered his face, he sighed and boldly repeated himself.
"Ahem! I said, 'That is not quite right'." He folded his arms behind his back.
"Ehehe, forgive me, High Immortal Sun." He bowed his head. "I'm just wondering why an immortal would try to cheat a mortal. Especially one who 'achieved so much'. Didn't she kill the black dragon?"
Sun Liang's brows furrowed at once. "You're seeking death!" He said, and one of the fairies moved towards him.
The fairy released his aura, and though he was considered a 'baby' in Sky Realm, he was still stronger than most humans, so his aura was enough to make the crowd uncomfortable.
"How dare you disrespect the High Immortal Sun?!" The fairy demanded, approaching Bailong.
But Bailong didn't hesitate to dive behind the nearest person.
Some humans like Lord Huo might be able to defeat a low-rank fairy, but 'Zhang Luoyin' didn't have a shred of a chance!
The fairy followed, but Bailong shamelessly flew behind someone else and kept hiding behind others till he ended up behind Lord Xu.
Thankfully Lord Xu held up an arm to shield him.
"Ahem! Apologies. This boy might be an idiot, but he's still a member of my Sect." Lord Xu said. "Forgive him. He has been... funny since childhood."
"Ah ah ah! Bullying the weak!" Bailong boldly pointed at Sun Liang from behind Lord Xu. "If you want to silence me, ask a human to do it! Why intimidate me with a powerful fairy?!"
"Silence you?!" Sun Liang held up a hand and the fairy returned to his side.
"Blehh!" Bailong slightly lifted his face veil and childishly stuck his tongue out at the fuming fairy.
"How uncouth!" A few said.
"He's embarrassing the Sect!"
Sun Liang lifted his chin. "Why should I silence you? The fairy wanted to teach you a lesson in manners! You accused me, and indirectly accused Sky Realm of trying to cheat a human!
"Explain yourself, or I will personally dole out the discipline!" Sun Liang released a bit of his own aura, and a fierce wave washed over everyone. A golden whip appeared in his hand, and there was a collective gasp from the crowd...
