Chapter 30
Aurora~
“Why’d you pick this room?”
I turned at the sound of Viktor’s voice, and he was leaning against the door frame, his hands in his pockets, and he looked powerful and casual all at the same time.
Now, while I’d really love to see what he’d look like in a suit, that was something that I’d never ask of him.
Suits were an Italian Mafia thing, and I’d never want him to think that I wanted him to be something that he wasn’t.
“Because of where it’s located in proximity to the property walls,” I answered honestly.
“The weaknesses in my security,” he chuckled as he pulled out his phone really quickly.
I nodded. “It’s on one of the more secured areas, and if I ever have to make a run for it, I’ll be able to do it and get away.”
Straightening, he placed his phone back in his pocket before walking into the room that would be my office soon. “And how would you do that?”
My brows rose in mock surprise. “And why would I tell you that? What if you’re the one who I’m running from?”
“Oh, baby, if you’re running from me, rest assured that nothing would keep me from catching you,” he replied confidently. “I’d think that you’d know that by now.”
I waited until he reached for me, and I didn’t say anything as he sat me on the table in the middle of the room.
Though not quite a library, the place had been decorated as a sitting room, and while there were three rectangular windows installed at the top of the west-end wall, the huge bay window just underneath allowed the entire world to come inside, and that’s what I liked about it.
All the glass was also bulletproof, so I didn’t have any issues with the visibility.
Besides, it wasn’t as if I planned on dismembering bodies in here.
It was going to be my office, and that was it; nothing fancy.
The automatic drapes also helped with privacy if I ever wanted it.
“I plan on building a secret trap door,” I informed him.
Viktor’s head jerked in surprise. “You plan on building a secret trap door?”
“Well, yeah,” I replied. “If I have someone else build it, then it’s not much of a secret anymore.”
Viktor eyed me as he asked, “And...and you know how to build one?”
“I already told you, I was raised alongside my brothers. You’d be surprised to learn what I know how to do,” I grinned.
“Okay, well...we’re going to revisit that topic later,” he said as he stepped in between my legs. “Right now, we need to discuss the meeting that I just had with my father and brother.”
“Okay, shoot.”
“You’re to have an official meeting with Aleksei in the morning, but we both knew that’d be happening, so no news there,” he said.
“As for everything else that was brought up, you are in charge of the working girls again, and I’ll never step in the way of that like I did before.
Now that you’re not driving me insane, things will be different. ”
“I hope so,” I quipped. “If not, you’re going to have bigger things to worry about than a secret trap door in your house.”
“Our house,” he quickly corrected.
“Our house,” I echoed, still trying to get used to it.
“I also informed them of your promise to Darya, and my father will honor it,” he said, and I let out a deep sigh of relief, glad that they’d chosen my side. “Kasimir wasn’t too happy about it, but he thought that you slitting his throat while still alive was the less appealing option.”
“Glad to see that he can be reasonable after all,” I quipped.
“Don’t get too excited just yet,” he warned. “There’s a catch.”
“Honestly, I’m not surprised,” I told him. “What is it?”
“If you’re going to insist that your word be honored as a Korolev, then you have to start using the name,” he informed me, and I couldn’t lie and say that I didn’t feel a bit anxious about it. “It’s time to stop riding the fence, baby.”
“I’ll hyphenate the names,” I offered. “For all my legal documentation, I’ll hyphenate the names, but...but I’ll go by Korolev publicly.”
“Aurora-”
“Our kids are going to be both Marchettis and Korolevs, so by hyphenating the names, it will show them that it’s okay to be both,” I explained, hoping that he could see how this wasn’t about him.
Viktor reached up to push my dark hair back from my face. “So, you’re going to have kids with me after all?”
“Well, did I answer your question correctly back at my condo?” I asked. “Remember? You said that us having children would depend on my answer.”
“Yeah, baby...you answered the question correctly,” he answered softly.
“So, how many children do you want?” I asked, meaning to tease him, but he hadn’t taken it that way.
“As many as you’re willing to give me,” he replied. “But you have to give me some little girls in there. I want as many little female killing machines as I can get.”
His words hit me hard enough to make me say the one thing that I’d been saving for the right time. “I love you.”
Viktor’s entire body froze, his eyes flashing with what looked a lot like relief. “What?”
“I love you,” I repeated, my chest feeling tight with the words, never having ever said them to anyone outside my family before. “I love you.”
He let out a deep breath before dropping his forehead against mine. “Don’t play with me, Aurora. I’m begging you.”
“I’m not,” I promised as I reached for him, gripping his shirt in my hands. “I swear to you that I’m not. I love you, and I’m saying it because it’s true.”
He placed a kiss on my forehead before straightening, looking down at me with my face in his hands. “You will always be the single most important thing in my life, and there will never be anything or anyone placed above you, baby. It’s you and me, and as long as I have you, I’m good.”
“And if they try to kill us for that, then we’ll just have to kill them all,” I said, knowing that it would never come down to that, but still loving the fact that it wasn’t a concern.
“Every last one of them,” he agreed. “Yeah, the kids might slow us down, but we’ll be okay.”
That got a laugh out of me. “Then maybe we should wait on having those kids.”
“No way, Mrs. Korolev,” he said wickedly. “In fact, I think you need to make an appointment to get rid of your birth control as soon as possible.”
“Oh, yeah?”
Viktor nodded as his hands went from my face to my blouse. “Baby, I want to see you pregnant more than I want to take my next breath.”
Dutifully, I lifted my arms as he pulled my shirt up over my head, and the way that he looked at me really did crazy things for my self-esteem.
“You know, pregnancy isn’t fun,” I warned him. “I’ve seen it up close and personal with my sisters-in-law, and it’s not for the faint of heart.”
“I’ll suffer through whatever I have to suffer through in order to see those tits of yours fill up with milk,” he said, and that statement really shouldn’t sound sexy like that.
“Spoken like a true man,” I drawled out.
Reaching around to unhook my bra, the material quickly slid down my arms, freeing my breasts for his viewing pleasure. “If you think that I’m addicted to your body now, just wait until you’re pregnant. I’m going to worship every little change in your body, and you’re going to let me.”
Before I could say anything to that, Viktor was placing his hand on my chest, pushing me backwards until I was laying across the table. The wood was a bit cold, but not enough to make me object. Now that I was making the effort to live here, I wanted Viktor to fuck me in every room of the house.
“The door’s open,” I reminded him as he started taking off my shoes.
“Everyone knows better than to interrupt me when I’m with you,” he replied, the sound of one of my shoes hitting the soft carpet.
“But they’ll be able to hear us,” I pointed out.
“I hope they do,” he said wolfishly as my pants were next. “I want them all to hear you screaming my name, proving just who owns that sweet pussy of yours.”
“What about...about the cameras?” I asked as his hands pushed my thighs apart.
The smirk on my husband’s lips was telling. “What do you think I was doing with my phone earlier? I sent my security a message to deactivate the cameras in this room.”
“Then, by all means, do your worst, Mr. Korolev.”
“Oh, I plan to, Mrs. Korolev.”
