Chapter 15 #2
Nodding, he stuttered, “Yeah. Yeah. I should get my room set up, too. The offer to tutor you in English in the library and not in any of our dorm rooms still stands.”
Turning around and blushing hard as hell, she smiled. “I know. Just like a light home-cooked meal, we can prepare and eat when you are sick of eating out. Still, parents must be on our phones while you are in my dorm room.”
Oh, I like her fo’ sure, I thought as my son nodded and grinned. “I know. Still no problems at all.”
“Mhm,” an unpleasant tone crept from my left. I never looked in that direction. I was focused on my smiling, proud son watching Germoney walk away. He was captivated by the natural young woman with a bright smile and a nervous walk.
“Hi, I’m August Junior’s mother, Mona,” my woman said respectfully as my son nodded, tapped the gray bag six times and turned on his heels.
“A very well-mannered young man. A protector. I love that,” a deep-toned man acknowledged with pride.
While the squad, minus Mona, walked toward August Junior’s room, I faced the man eyeing my family.
As my wife and Germoney’s mom talked, I grinned.
“Yes, my son’s very mannerable ‘til he’s disrespected.
He’s very protective. If he an’ yo’ daughter become good friends, he gon’ make sure he’s the young man my wife an’ me raised him to be.
He has goals just like she do. He’s firm on makin’ his dreams come true, an’ I’m one-hundred percent certain he gon’ make sho’ she accomplish her dreams.”
As the man nodded, contentment in his eyes, he said, “I’m George Henry Senior, and you are?”
Walking toward him, I answered, “I’m August Abbott Senior. Nice to meet ya.”
Before he could respond, George Senior’s eyes lit up as if he saw the best thing he’d ever seen. His slender, calloused fingers gripped his loosely fitted denim jeans as he stared at the door as if he couldn’t break the trance.
“My, my, my,” my wife held out messily and intrigued.
At the same time, from my left, King whistled seven times, signaling that something was going on our way. The snickers from August Junior’s room ran laps around my ears as Momma Thea happily screeched, “George motherfucking Henry Senior, is that you?”
After spinning on my heels to stare at Momma Thea, I saw Momma. A messy facial expression covered her face. Meanwhile, George Senior stuttered, “Yes, yes. Thea, it’s me. It’s so good to see you. How have you been?”
Mrs. George Senior was no longer polite.
The handsome-looking female had jealousy written on her face.
Curtly, she spoke, “As you can tell, she’s been fine.
Let’s get our son settled into his room, so we can focus on ensuring Germoney is settled into her dorm.
We have an intimate dinner date that we won’t put off for anybody. ”
“Yep, lookin’ real toss som’ crumbs in yo’ eyes, bitch, while I make sho’ yo’ ass stay out they way … so they can play catch-up,” Thiago hissed, causing Kingdon to howl in laughter.
Mrs. Henry Senior gasped while scurrying to her unfazed husband.
Never removing her eyes from the married couple, Momma Thea grinned and nodded slowly.
Min clenched her teeth and looked at the ceiling.
Momma grinned messily and rubbed her forehead.
I patted my chest harshly as if I had hit a blunt too hard.
“He’s his father’s child when it comes to you, I see,” George Senior said warmly, pushing his wife into their son’s room. My eyes were out of the socket as I stared at Momma Thea.
“All four of them are.” She smiled, patting the back of Momma’s hand. “It was good seeing you, class—”
As if she needed to be even messier with her beautiful blind ass, Momma urgently said, “Now, Thea, the name George Henry sound familiar. Is he the young man yo’ momma walked in on an’ caught you wit’ yo’ legs in the air, an’ yo’ cat in his mou—”
“Shit!” The twins hollered as my eyelids wouldn’t stop blinking fast.
“That’s enough, Momma Orthella.” Momma Thea blushed, pushing Momma toward the stark, still, open mouth, white and gold teeth motherfuckas in the lil kitchen area.
“My, my, my.” My wife giggled, placing her back against my body.
“Mona, shut your ass up,” Momma Thea hissed, looking at my wife over her shoulder.
The ass whoopah had difficulty keeping eye contact with my wife, making me howl in laughter. I had never seen Momma Thea outdone by anything or anyone. It was refreshing to know she had a few skeletons in her closet.
“It was nice seeing you, Thea! Perhaps, we will see each other again and play catch-up,” George Senior spoke confidently.
Waving, Momma Thea never faced him as she said, “Sounds good as long as your wife is for sure okay with it.”
“No, I’m not okay with it! You’ve cheated on me many times with Thea. At one point, we’ve all thought her firstborn son was yours! Hence, a DNA test was done!” Mrs. Henry bellowed, causing necks to roll.
Thiago made the ugliest noise.
Kingdon whistled.
“Brother, I wish you were here to see this shit in person. The Quad Ts haven’t blinked yet. Momma Thea’s head is lower than our bodies when we are drunk. We are in Kentucky, and the Grey Goose is strong as fuck.” King’s messy ass chuckled as Momma Thea’s head shook several times diagonally.
“Don’t you dare do that tic shit,” Momma fussed as the ladies stopped before the refrigerator. “There’s always a time an’ place to finally go off on a bitch. Not now.”
What? She has a tic.
“Fuck that shit!” Momma Thea bellowed, sliding Momma to her sons.
“That measly incest bitch has always been a fucking thorn in my ass since her cocked eyed parents, who are fucking siblings, moved two blocks from me. Patty with the Incest family. Isn’t that what our classmates called you before I stopped them from making you feel like shit because your uncle and auntie are your parents as well?
Don’t answer. You had to drug half the niggas in school to fuck with you, right?
The only reason you didn’t drug George because I told him how you got down.
Hell yeah, I had a time fucking our boyfriend and mine.
He was never yours! Always mine! The only reason you were on his arms because his parents couldn’t get down with him sharing a female.
So, you were the cover, bitch. Never the main bitch.
Every holiday, he lied that his funds were low because he was helping his parents.
Bitch, please, he and my sons’ fathers were in another town shopping for me!
I received all those gifts and still have them!
Yeah, now, I’m done. Have a great motherfucking week and life, bitch,” Momma Thea snarled as all the asses she swatted with a belt found the nearest floor.
She was no longer a woman put on blast. She was the mighty lioness owning a life she loved.
“There’s my Thea. It’s been a pleasure to see all of you after these years.
I have to manage this outburst. As always, you stood your ground.
I love you, Thea, never forget that,” George Senior said lovingly as I dug into my pocket for my Scooby Doo fruit snacks and didn’t blink to catch the soap opera.
“Give me some, please,” my wife whispered, looking between the couple staring at each other as if they were rehashing the past.
While I dangled a few of the soft snacks into Mona’s palm, Mrs. Henry tightened her lips and slapped the shit out of her husband. Spit flew out of his mouth as my crew screeched, “Shit.”
As the Henry children crept out of the brother’s room, Germoney softly said, “Momma, let’s go outside and get some air.”
“Get your damn hands off me, little peasant. I didn’t want you anyway. Hell, I didn’t want any of you. I just had to one-up Thea’s ass because she never had any kids by him,” she spat, causing Mona to rise viciously.
King and Kingdon howled.
My right eyelid twitched as my fingers curled.
Kingsley clapped slowly.
Out of the twins, Kingsley, and Mona, I had maternal love, so I had to rise from the ground and keep the body slams and punches to zero. Before I could swallow my minced snacks and command my main crew to walk out of the room, Germoney slapped the shit out of her mother.
When the woman swirled onto her husband, Mona hopped to her feet and hooted, “That’s my girl! Don’t be like me and deal with verbal abuse! It will destroy you bit by bit!”
A calm-looking George Senior delicately pushed his stunned wife off him.
I didn’t know who passed my wife and me the fastest: August Junior or Momma Thea. Hurriedly, I patted my wife’s ass and commanded, “Mrs. Enforcer, you better get to enforcin’ befo’ shit get outta hand. I hear an Oreo bag crinklin’.”
“On it.” Mona munched on the sticky fruit snacks while spinning around me, aiming for Momma Thea.
“I know one of you suck mouth niggas better describe to me what the fuck going on!” Momma shouted.
Mona grabbed Momma Thea as she kicked Patty in the back, sending her flying to the floor.
