Chapter 35 Jasmine

“Together.”

I frown, what does Julien mean? I try to pull away, but he refuses to budge, holding me firm against him.

He won’t stop kissing me either, which makes touching them a challenge, a challenge that rachets up from difficult to fucking insane when Julien’s fingers dig into my ass and he grinds his cock against me.

Rocking the length of his giant erection right against my bare pussy. Even through his pants, it’s… I shudder.

No, no, no! I’m meant to be in control, I was!

I try to pull back again, but Sai is right behind me, soft, erotic pants filling my ear as Julien dominates my mouth.

“This is what you wanted, baby.” Sai’s tongue traces the shell of my ear. I’m right between them, there’s no escape. “Remember that.”

With Julien’s hands encompassing my entire ass, and Sai’s gripping my hips, I have no leverage. Then Sai rocks against me, which in turn grinds me harder into Julien.

Fuck.

When Julien positions the swollen tip of erection right against my clit, Sai somehow knows to push me right into it. I moan at the hard, heavenly friction, of feeling them both, being between them.

A soft crackle pieces the air, followed by a hum along my spine, over my ribs, my stomach, spreading down between my thighs. Sai’s power threads lower and lower, until it lies directly over my clit, and the sudden vibration, the intense friction from both of them—

“Oh shit. Fuck—” Blinding light fills my vision, my body shakes, I cry—scream.

Then the three of us come together.

Something shatters, there’s a rupture, glass smashes. But up close, there’s the ridiculously sensual sounds of two men moaning and gasping against me. Their hot breath kissing my skin, their lips dragging lazy touches anywhere they can claim.

When the air finally loses some of its intense hum. Someone grabs my face, turning me, and there’s a tongue in my mouth.

“Six,” Julien breathes. It must be Sai’s tongue.

Wait. Six? Six what?

Sai pulls back, face hovering mine with that delicious smirk of his.

“It was four, now it’s six.” He shrugs one shoulder, leaning in again.

I pull back with a scoff. “No, it’s not.”

“Yes, it is.” Sai’s lips pull into a full grin, all teeth, two dimples. “Just need to give the big guy a little break.”

He nods his head to something behind me. I frown, but peer over my shoulder to find Julien led on his back, chest pulsing with heavy pants, an arm slung over his eyes. Wrecked.

“Is he… okay?” I whisper.

“I am fine, mon ame.” But he still isn’t moving, or looking at me.

“You need a second, man? A century? Take your time, I’ll keep Red busy.”

“A century, you say?” Julien drawls, eyes darting to Sai under his arm. “And how long did you need after the first time you touched our bond? After you barely lasted a minute, my dearest friend.”

Sai’s mouth hangs open, and I fight to stifle my laughter.

“You fucker,” Sai mutters.

“Didn’t you succumb to sleep immediately after?”

“We both fell asleep,” Sai bites out.

I turn to face Sai. “Hmm, I think I remember being awake a little longer.”

His piercing eyes widen. “Don’t do this to me, Red.”

I smile, patting his cheek, before trying to shuffle out of his grip. When he doesn’t release me, I level him with a small, sharp glare.

And like the good boy I was training him to be, he lets go, but not without a dramatic sigh.

I scoot down the bed, sliding off. But the second I do, I become very aware of how naked I am, and the two pairs of eyes on me.

“Although this is a magnificent view,” Julien says, pushing himself up into a seated position.

“Where the fuck do you think you’re going?” Sai finishes sharply, gaze dragging over me, soaking in every piece.

I snatch up the discarded hoodie and slip it on. But in the moment it takes to pull it over my head, everything shifts.

They’ve both recovered, and they’re still. Too still.

My breath hitches at their blank expressions because I can feel how not-calm they are.

I start to move backwards, slowly, watching both men as their eyes track me with unwavering precision.

“Don’t you dare, Red,” Sai growls, and the sound, especially from Sai, makes my heart pound.

The blues of his eyes are struggling, fading like the sky before dusk, but all I want to do is push him more.

“Didn’t you once say you love a chase?” I say sweetly. The blue evaporates.

“Little empath,” Julien murmurs, velvet tone soaked in threat. “This will only end one way. If you run, we will chase, and we will catch you.”

Suddenly, that’s all I want. All I’m desperate to do. My skin tingles, anticipation curling through my limbs. I keep retreating.

The room darkens.

Sai’s on his knees, at the edge of the bed. Julien rises, standing. Both locked on me, ready to pounce.

“Red.” Sai’s voice is deeper. “We’re not fucking around here. We mean it. You need to stop.”

“This is your last chance.” Julien’s voice rumbles. “Do. Not. Run.”

Was that a command? Did he just try to order me?

A breathless laugh slips from my lips, and I turn—

Another presence floods the room, a warmth spiked with something dark and... horrific.

Something wrong.

My back bumps into a hard chest and large hands curl over my shoulders. I slowly turn, and when I see him, truly see him, I freeze.

His eyes. The darkness in them, it’s right there, right at the surface.

This isn’t the Ezekial I know.

Something’s wrong.

“Ezekial, speak to us.” Julien’s concern only worsens it. Dread and terror entwining.

Ezekial says nothing.

“Hey, Zeek. What’s happening, mate?” Sai tries, standing off the bed and cautiously approaching.

They both track his hands, clamped on my shoulders, then his face.

“Distance yourself, Jasmine.” Julien’s urgent tone is so unfamiliar it rattles something in me.

My heart thuds, panic racing through my body as I try to step towards Sai and Julien—

Ezekial hauls me off the ground without warning, his arms locking tight around me. My legs hook around his waist on instinct alone, clinging for balance. His grip is strong. Too strong.

Then I feel it. His terror—his fear.

He moves with me in his arms, and I catch Sai and Julien’s panicked eyes as Ezekial sits on the edge of the bed, still holding me.

“What’s going on?” I say only to them. “He’s terrified, and where’s Kane? Has something happened to him?”

“No,” Julien replies. “We would feel it. He’s fine but… distant. Somewhere far.”

In my peripheral, I see them approach carefully, sitting on the bed either side of Ezekial. When I catch their concerned expressions, it does nothing to ease the dread curling inside of me.

“Where is Kane, Ezekial?” Julien asks.

Silence. His fingers tighten, almost painfully, then—

“The Divide.”

The words aren’t spoken aloud. They ripple through our minds, flat, cold, stripped of anything. Ezekial’s voice… isn’t his. Just pure darkness echoing in our minds.

The Divide.

The place between the Dark and Light. Unstable, born from the ruin of the Light Realm. Volatile and dangerous, almost impossible to enter. Deadlier to survive.

Kane mentioned it to me once, then Ezekial. That was enough to never forget. The place Ezekial was kept prisoner. The place his sister died. Where he was thrown and tortured, twisted into a creature of the dark, becoming what he is now: a mind melder.

“How and why the fuck is he there?” Sai snaps, markings flaring.

We wait, but Ezekial doesn’t respond.

“Can you get there?” I ask. The dread is now so heavy, even breathing is painful.

“Like fuck we’re leaving you when Zeek’s like this, Red.”

“That isn’t what I asked.” I meet Sai’s eyes. “Can you get there?”

“Yes. We can sense Kane—just enough,” Julien says. “But Ezekial isn’t grounded. One of us will stay—”

“No.” I shake my head, and Ezekial’s hold becomes almost suffocating. “I can deal with him. I need you two with Kane.”

“I am not fucking leaving you with him.” In Sai’s determined words, there’s a hint of fear. Then he repeats to Julien, “I’m not leaving her.”

I immediately soften. “You didn’t want me near Julien once. You were scared he’d hurt me.” Sai clenches his jaw, because he knows I’m right. “Now I need you to trust me. I am safe with Ezekial.”

“Jasmine… this isn’t the Ezekial you know,” Julien asserts, his concern just as clear.

“Then I will get to know him.” I look from Julien to Sai. Not a glare, just a firm, steady gaze. “Trust me.”

Sai snarls, eyes darting over my face, then he glares at Julien. But he simply nods.

“No,” Sai snarls in protest, blinding gaze back on me. “Baby, I can’t—”

“Go,” I order, voice sharp. “Go get Kane. Bring him back. You want my full forgiveness? Then show me. Show me you trust me. That you respect my words. My choices. Do this for me.”

I know it isn’t fair to give them an ultimatum like this, but I need them to find Kane, to know he’s safe from whatever has made Ezekial feel like… this.

“Please.” My voice breaks, softening as the dread creeps into it, and Sai’s determined expression falters. “I can do this, but I need to know Kane’s safe. Trust me.”

There’s a pause in which they both stare at me, until Julien says, “If anything happens, call to us. No matter how small. Anything.”

I nod, but they don’t move, they just keep staring, soaking me in.

But then, with a cut-off curse from Sai and a final pleading look my way, the shadows expand.

And they’re gone.

Ezekial still doesn’t move. I thought maybe once they left, he’d do something. But he just holds me.

So I start small, easing the terror from him slowly, unwinding it like thread. Piece by piece.

After several long minutes, his hold only tightens.

I swallow, thinking of a new tactic. “Can you loosen your arms a little bit?” I start to squirm. “Starting to feel... a tad… claustrophobic.”

He flinches, and his grip relaxes just enough that I can lean back slightly. I keep my fingers hooked around his neck, ready to hold my own weight in case he lets go.

But now, eye-to-eye with this Ezekial, I realise he won’t let me go. Not with the possessive hunger in his inky gaze.
