Chapter 11 Awkward Introduction
I put away my phone.
I tried to shrink my presence.
I silently prayed that in their joy of reunion, the family would forget about me.
Then I could find a chance to slip out.
But what I feared came true.
Mom wiped her tears, took Jian Xi's hand, and walked toward me. "Child, come, this is Lin Duo, the one Mom told you about..."
Jian Xi looked up, his deep gaze landing calmly on my face.
With no escape, I let out a desperate wail inside and said weakly, "Hi, Jian Xi, you're... you're back..."
Jian Xi's gaze followed me, and because of my words, tiny lights sparkled in his eyes.
Mom glanced at me in surprise. "Lin Duo, didn't you say you and Jian Xi were close enough to share a blanket and sleep? What's wrong?"
Ahhh!
Don't blurt everything out!
I stepped forward to stop her, but Jian Xi was right there, and his gaze shifted from calm to shy and timid.
Caught in a dilemma.
I was so embarrassed my hair stood on end. I screamed and dodged around Jian Xi to run upstairs.
"Dad, Mom, my head suddenly hurts a bit. I'll rest for a while and skip dinner with you~"
I ran too fast.
I didn't notice at all.
