Part 2 Chapter 49

An; Pretty please with a cherry and fairy dust on top, please comment on this chapter. I want to see what you think so I can improve this story! And ghost readers, I can't actually see you since you are in fact ghosts but please comment boos!

"I love dragons!" the thing repeated again in a guttural growl.

I flinched at the unnatural voice, "Tell him to make something else," I said and squeezed the arms that Henry had wrapped around my waist even harder.

He was holding me stiffly from behind, while I faced away from Arnold and his creation.

I continued to sob like I had been doing for the last fifteen minutes.

I could tell by his body how uncomfortable he must of felt in this moment.

This man would never be at ease with crying as long as he was alive.

In front of us stood the man with the rainbow pin on his chest. He was looking at us like we were all exotic caged up animals.

"I can't make something else," Arnold said, "until tomorrow.

It's really hard to make something else and I can't change the appearance because he's more advanced.

Plus, I still got to make my little demons for the other necromancers.

But what's the problem? She killed him before, so it should be easy for her to kill him again. "

I pulled away and turned around to glare at Arnold, while at the same time avoiding looking at the pale gray thing that was the spitting image of Neeva beside him.

"Do you think I liked killing my father!?"

"Yes," Arnold replied.

"Well I didn't!" I snarled.

"So you do things that you don't like to do?"

"I love dragons!" the thing that looked like my dad repeated again.

"Oh course I do!? Do you think I wanted to go to this world, and fight a bunch of dead people?! I can't look at that things face, so how I'm I going to be about to focus on the sacrifice? And why does it keep saving I love dragons!?"

Arnold shrugged, "It had to love, so I made it really love dragons. If you don't like it's face, put a bag over its head. That's what I did to my brother, before my mom found out and got mad."

"Actually not a bad idea." Henry said and I looked over my shoulder at the man with the rainbow pin on his chest, "Sir? Do you have a sack or something that we can put over, this.. thing's head?"

The man eyed him for a long moment, "You people are creepy, but sure I can get you a bag. I don't looking at that thing either, and I didn't even know him in life, but I sure hope that's not how he actually sounded like."

"I love dragons!"

Henry's arms tensed around me, "Well us "creepy people" wouldn't have to be here if you people could do what us "creepy people" could do."

Mr.rainbow-pin did not respond, instead he called one of the men standing around in one of the ugly green outfits. The man scampered away.

Once he was gone, Mr. rainbow-pin proceed to cross his arms, and fix onto us with his piercing blue eyes.

"I came over to speak directly to-"

"Me?" Alyzzea said loudly from the section of floor which she had been drawing on. She stood and gathered her long skirt, and glided to stand in front of us.

While she was moving away Arnold had his clay doll place him on the ground, and than had begun making the little demons he had been making on the roof with us.

This was much to the displeasure of Mr. Rainbow-Pin whom wore a brief look of horror and disgust on his face while he watched the procedure.

"General Perter, we have almost done our preparations. I suggest that now, you go and begin your plans to evacuate the premises."

"Sure we will. I can't wait not to be in the same room as you again, but not until you answer me this; an I supposed to turn a blind eye to a human sacrificial ceremony?"

"I love dragons!"

"No you're not supposed to do anything, but clear the area of the afflicted so we can work, and than leave," a tight smile stretched across her face, "or did you and I hear two different things from the same orders?

Now I believe my people are now all done with their tasks, and are ready to do what we came here to do. "

He held her gaze, before turning and storming away from us. Just as he was left the man that he had ordered get the sack came jogging up to us. He stared at General Rainbow-Pin walking away, than turned his stare to us.

"So is the sack still needed?" be asked and held up a brown cloth bag.

Henry nodded and held out his hand. The man placed the sack into it and than hurried away.

Henry let go of me, and walked over to what I assumed to be the clay look-alike of Neeva to put the sack over it's head.

I waited till both men were far enough away before asking Alyzzea, "Are we really ready to start?" I asked.

"We are," she replied and a block of ice dropped into my stomach. I was beyond nervous. "So from now on I will need you to follow my instructions carefully."

I looked around and saw that the other necromancers had indeed finished drawling on the stone floor, and the men in the green uniforms seemed to be packing their things in a hurry, and some had begun to climb into the tanks.

My only comfort was I did not see any of the three human sacrifices anywhere.

Alyzzea grabbed my arm and walked me over to the center of the room where I saw a giant star had been scribbled onto the hard gray floor. The star was made up of intricate swirling patterns that looked random to my eyes, but I'm sure won't random at all and very intentional.

"Wait here," she commanded and walked a short distance away.

"Everyone I want you to listen up," she said, and serval pairs of violet eyes focused on her.

"I want you all to grab one of these false life forms that our Seventh Element user is still making, and hold onto it.

I know that we usually use chickens in our ceremony, but these should generate even more power, although that power will be more difficult to use.

"This ceremony usually requires one of us and multiple human sacrifices, but today it will only require one.

On my command, you are to sacrifice your false lifeforms like you were trained to perform a regular sacrifice.

The only difference is, you will only complete the first part, you will not complete the second part and let the power go into the air. "

"And, if this ceremony goes wrong, you all know what to do to keep the causality count minimum. Understand?"

There was a collective yes, before a line was formed in front of Arnold and his heard of little demons. One by one, each Fifth Element user took one.

"And as for you," she said and directed her attention towards Henry.

"Take your dragon and stay as far away from us as possible.

I don't want you to get mixed up in this ceremony or it could spell disaster.

This procedure is very sensitive to outside interference.

I have personally practiced it many times, but performed it only once.

You're little friend will be joining you also, when you're done," she said motioning to Arnold.

In the meantime, all the men in the splotchy green uniforms had finished packing, and the gates were beginning to open.

She left me and I was suddenly standing alone in the middle of the circle. I could see the other Necromancers taking their position

"I love dragons!"

There was the sound of approaching footsteps. I looked up to see that the thing was moving toward me, since it had been blinded, it was being lead by a female Fifth Element user. Neeva's creepy likeness was now cover by the brown bag given to us by the man.

I gulped when it was finally standing before us.

Even with the bag over its head, I couldn't get it's face out of mine.

It was Neeva's face, the three seconds I had looked at it had been enough for me to see that.

But it was also gray and dead looking too, and probably what his face would have looked like had his body been still around to rot and decay. My ears where beginning to ring.

One of the girls that came over held out my channeling spear she had been somewhat concealing at her side, and I took it from her. I saw the crystal ball at the end of its hilt and immediately knew it was a channeling weapon.

I took it into my hand and looked down on it. I could see the reflection of my own frightened puffy eyes staring back at me from the shiny point. Black mist began to swirl in the crystal ball.

"You're willing to do this. You're willing to do this," I chanted inside my head.

Suddenly, Alyzzea was standing in front of me and even though I had not heard her approach. Her black gown still did not have a single mark on it, even though she had just been sitting on the ground, drawling with white chalk.

"So, are you ready?"

"No, but if I wait any longer, I'm just going to be less ready," I said. Just as the fence mess above us gave way, and the soulless rained down upon us.
