47. Creed

Creed

Today was the first day in many years that I rushed out of Hell as fast as I could.

I had already warned Sevryn, Phoelius, Zareb, and Faron not to expect me there all day. I was coming in to release some souls, then I had plans.

I didn’t even go fuck with Delun or Mellcom like I usually do.

Needless to say, Delun took the reversal of being the judger to the judged hard. He spent years hiding from us, but we found him and brought him home. He’ll live out his days in the lower level.

Mellcom…his ass is still a miserable piece of shit. He refuses every opportunity to reflect, heal, or even speak to Meridamus. I know that hurts the ol’ God of Consequence, but he’s learning to let it go. One thousand, four hundred and thirty years are still left on Mellcom’s sentence.

Maybe something will change. Maybe it won’t.

Either way, I wasn’t about to spend my morning listening to him bitch about it.

Today is far too special for that.

Today is my endling’s one hundredth birthday.

My eyes find her immediately as I step out onto the mountain ridge and fill my lungs with the fresh morning air. Her laughter carries on the wind.

It’s just as soul-stopping as it’s always been.

A smile takes over my face as I watch her soar through the sky. Her multicolored wings flex in and out as she dives and twirls, trying to outmaneuver V and Lestari, who trail right behind her.

Seismet and Verlet fly over their heads like guards ready to take down a damn bolt of lightning if it were to strike.

My fingers curl slightly at my side as I reach for the bond between us. My soul does a fucking happy shimmy before cuddling closer to hers, tugging it just a touch. Giving me away.

Her laughter cuts off midair. Even from this distance, I feel the exact moment she realizes I’m here. Her direction snaps toward me, and she heads my way. The closer she gets, the more the wicked smirk on her face spreads.

I know exactly what that look means.

“Thayla, don’t you fucking do—”

Too late.

Her wings snap inward, and instead of landing like a normal damn person, she launches herself directly at me. I brace myself a second before impact. Barely.

The force of her collision sends us tumbling backward into the soft grass, her laughter mixing with mine as we roll across our backyard.

When we finally stop moving, she’s sprawled across my chest with her hair falling around us. Her smile is brighter than the morning sun.

“You’re late,” she says as she uses my chest to push herself up and straddle my lap.

I stare up at her.

“I came directly from Hell. I was gone an hour tops.”

She hums, pretending to consider it.

“I think you should have been here sooner. You probably spent half that hour talking shit with Sevryn.”

A laugh escapes me before I can stop it, but I quickly choke it down.

She knows me too well.

“Fifteen minutes max,” I say, plucking a piece of grass out of her hair. “I didn’t expect to find you out flying when I returned. You were supposed to be in bed still.”

“Well, Riven said he was going to cook me breakfast since you left me, so I figured I should escape before the house caught on fire.”

My face falls blank.

“You’re fucking with me.”

She arches a brow and I grip her hips, preparing to lift her right off and go check on my fucking kitchen. A belly-gripping laugh belts from her throat and I immediately ease back against the ground.

“That’s not funny. That’s a serious threat.”

“Sounds like a consequence for leaving your wife on her birthday.”

A massive smirk stretches across my face.

“Someone’s still got an attitude about being one hundred.”

She purses her lips at me, but she can’t hide that teasing glimmer in her eyes.

“Is someone offering to adjust it for me?”

Her squeal echoes through the mountains as I sit up and sling her over my shoulder before she can get another word out. The feisty-ass Binder digs her damn nails into my ass cheeks as I stomp my way into the house.

As soon as I barge through the door, Amick, Kyzen, and Riven drop the decorations they were trying to hang up for her and glare at me.

“What the fuck?” Riven hollers. “You were supposed to distract her.”

“I’m about too,” I say, marching toward our room.

Her very revealing giggle has the three of them falling silent.

I give it thirty seconds before they realize what’s going on.

Her back hits the bed with an umph, but my lips are there a breath later to swallow the sound.

“How does a hundred orgasms for your hundredth birthday sound?” I ask. “That should fix this sass.”

“Yeah, that’ll fix it because I’ll be dead.”

My teeth graze her bottom lip as I smile, then give her a little love nibble. I don’t give her the chance to bite my ass back.

My fingers tangle in her shirt and I snatch it over her head. Mine bows as I groan.

Her ass was flying with no bra on.

Again.

Her shorts go next, leaving her spread bare before me. I give her no warning as I dive down and feast like a fucking man starved. Her moan rips through the house, and the thunder of footsteps that respond has me chuckling against her clit.

A few more perfectly practiced strokes of my tongue against her pussy have her back arching off the bed, and her first orgasm spreading across my face.

She is my favorite flavor. Fucking divine.

My brothers pounce on the bed and their mouths reach every piece of skin they can get to as I sit up. I lift one of her legs to my shoulder and slide my way in slowly, tortuously.

I hold myself still, fucking loving how her walls clench around me, begging for me to move.

“Creed,” she cries. “Please.”

“You want me to fuck you, my endling? Is that what you’re begging for?”

“Gods,” she grunts, snatching Kyzen toward her as she steals a kiss from him.

“Answer him, little goddess. Tell him what you want,” he says, chuckling when she groans.

“Yes. Fuck me.”

Those desire-filled eyes of hers collide with mine, and my hips shift before I can stop them.

Once I start, there’s no stopping.

She feels too good.

Her soul caresses mine, all of ours, and I soak up every last ounce of love she pours into me. It’s fucking addicting. Life giving.

There’s no getting enough of her.

We haven’t had our fill of her in seventy years.

We won’t have our fill in the next seven millennia.

Heat races up my spine and my fucking toes curl just thinking about it.

“Come on my cock, Thayla. Give me one more before my brothers have their way with you.”

“Fuck.”

She screams as my soul crashes into hers.

I can’t drag air into my lungs, but that doesn’t stop me from stealing another kiss from her. A shiver rips across her skin as I reluctantly pull out and make room for the others.

Amick takes it upon himself to lie down, and she climbs on his lap, taking every inch of his dick in one single movement. Riven gives her a moment to shift her hips while he lubes himself up. He doesn’t have to guide her down to Amick’s chest. She’s already ready and waiting for him.

The sounds of her moans fill the room and her eyes drift closed in pure ecstasy.

“Kyzen,” she breathes. “I want you too.”

“Oh, but gorgeous.” He chuckles low. “If I fuck your mouth, I can’t hear those sweet sounds you’re making for us.”

“It’s my birthday. I get what I want. And I want to choke on your cock.”

Filthy, delicious fucking mouth of hers.

He hisses as he bites his knuckles. There’s no argument left in him, though. He gives in before I can blink.

My hand glides down her body until my finger circles her clit in a relentless pattern. The muffled screams stuck in the back of her throat grow louder and louder.

The curses leaving Riven can’t be contained as another orgasm tears through her and she drags his ass down with her.

Kyzen and Amick attempt to fight their releases off, but it’s pointless. The second her soul lashes out, throttling every bit of desire she feels toward them, they’re done for.

I pull her from between them before they can sandwich her in and steal her away from me. I started the birthday activities and they’re going to end with her sprawled on my chest.

The guys know that’s what my jealous ass had planned.

They each snort at me and put up no fight.

The room falls into a comfortable hush, broken only by uneven breaths and the occasional quiet chuckle.

Thayla sighs happily with her eyes closed, and a faint smile rests on her lips. Riven absentmindedly traces circles along her arm while Kyzen brushes a strand of hair from her face. Amick has one hand laced with hers, his thumb moving in slow, absent strokes.

My lips lay against her forehead.

“Happy birthday,” I murmur, my voice rough with contentment. “I didn’t properly say it earlier.”

One eye cracks open as she tilts her head up to face me.

“Mmm, I’d say you said it properly enough for me.”

Riven giggles and her other eye flies open.

“That was just a warmup for the day, angel. We have so much planned. I have a massive surprise scheduled for when the sun goes down.”

“Should I be concerned?” she asks.

“Absolutely,” he says at the same time Kyzen says, “Not at all.”

“Gods help me,” she groans dramatically, but a chuckle and smirk sneak through her words.

“We always will,” Amick says quite literally.

Another wave of laughter fills the room before fading into an easy silence.

I look at my brothers.

At my wife.

My family.

Spread across a bed we’ve shared for seventy years now.

It’s day one of our next century together.

For so many years, I thought forever would feel like imprisonment.

Instead, it feels like endless freedom.

And I can’t wait to see where it takes us.
