Chapter 14
I didn’t mean to let that slip out, but Devin wouldn’t stop pushing.
I wanted him to own his fuck up on his own.
Not giving some fake apology because he thought it’s what I wanted to hear.
He was standing in front of me with his arms crossed demanding me to finish.
Knowing he wouldn’t let it go, I told him the rest.
“The night before graduation. I gave you my virginity because I thought you was different. I got out the car and you let me. Even years later, when I saw you at the game, you looked at me like I was just some random ass hoe you fucked. Hey, I guess I was because you didn’t know shit about me, but I fucked you in your car.
” I started fiddling my fingers and tried to look everywhere but at him.
He stayed so quiet; I couldn’t do shit but look up. He was standing there in disbelief, and it wasn’t until this moment that I realized it wasn’t that he looked at me as a random, he didn’t know it was me. It still didn’t change what happened that night though.
“Brianna?” I nodded fighting back my tears.
“Yeah.” Since the cat was out of the bag and I knew he wasn’t going to leave, I turned to walk out. I was not about to sit here and relive that shame.
“You always sat in the third row of class. Far enough from the teacher, but not the last row to look like one of the fuck offs. You wore the same Marshall hoodie and Crocs every day. I’ve never seen you talk to anyone or in class, but every paper you got back, was an A.
I don’t think you ever came to the games, but you sat in the stands at every practice taking notes.
” I stopped in my tracks because I had no idea he knew all that about me.
Turning around, I looked at him and his face had softened.
“I’m shocked you knew I existed. Still don’t change what happened though.”
“I thought you was swerving a nigga, but I thought I would see you at graduation. I walked the entire field hoping to see you, but I didn’t. When they called your name, you didn’t walk the stage. I’ve looked for you ever since, but there isn’t a trail on you.” I raised my arms and gave a sly smirk.
“Because she doesn’t exist anymore. Only Blaise Monroe.
” Devin reached out and grabbed my arm. Snatching my arm, he pulled me to him, and his mouth landed on mine.
Our kiss was hot and passionate, and I could feel his dick hardening against me.
“Devin.” I tried to pull back and stop him, but he wasn’t having it.
“I don’t give a fuck about your husband or your co-workers. I need to feel my pussy.”
“It’s not that. You got cleared, but my pussy still hot as fish grease.” We both fell out laughing but I didn’t know how to feel about that.
“As soon as you’re healed, let me take you on a date.”
“I can’t.” I could see the disappointed look in his face, but he misunderstood what I was saying. “I can meet you at your hotel though and we can have dinner in your room.” Smirking, he pulled me to him again and kissed me before releasing me.
“I’ll see you in about two weeks. I gotta give you time to clear up that leak. Oh, and if you fuck that nigga again, we gone have a problem.”
“Devin, that’s my husband.” This time his smirk looked menacing.
“For now. I’ll call you when I land. I gotta get back before they fine my ass for missing the bus. We got a game tomorrow. Oh, and Blaise, stop dogging me out on the air. How that shit gone look when they find out you my bitch?”
“Bye, Devin.” When I knew he was gone, I wiped the smile off my face and dialed Garrett’s extension. “Come to my office.” Was all I said before hanging up. My ass was pacing the floor ready to knock his ass out. Ten minutes later, he walked in and he had the nerve to look pissed.
“I see your lil friend is getting real comfortable coming up here. Do I need to remind you of your contract?”
“I see you and your lil hoe getting real comfortable as well. Chlamydia. Really, Garrett?” He closed the door before walking over to me rubbing my arms.
“I’m sorry, but I got a doctor friend of mine to give me some meds.” I looked at him in disbelief.
“So, fuck me huh? You didn’t want to show your face in a doctor’s office but didn’t care that I had to.”
“I just didn’t want to upset you. I was hoping it didn’t pass to you, and when you didn’t say anything, I thought you was in the clear.” I was disgusted.
“Whoever this new lil bitch is… Eyyyuuckkkkk! You need to drop her. Hear me clearly, we will no longer be engaging in intercourse. My contract doesn’t state I have to fuck you. Now get your nasty, burning ass out of my office.”
“I see that lil thug got you feeling real cocky. End it before I end you. Oh, and Blaise.”
“What?”
“You’re nasty and burning too. Or did you forget?
” Garrett didn’t say anything else before leaving out.
Grabbing my mug off my desk, I tossed it at the wall.
It was times like this that I hate I signed that shit.
I know what I agreed to, but an STD was not it.
Tyla peeked her head in the door trying to gauge my mood.
“Come in.” She walked inside and closed the door. When she sat on the couch, she gave me a minute to gather myself.
“You okay?” I started laughing and a smile crept up her face.
“Your ass don’t care how I’m feeling. You want to know what happened with me and Devin.”
“So why are you making me wait? Spill it.”
“It wasn’t what I thought. He looked for me but couldn’t find me because I changed my name.” Out of nowhere, something hit me. Grabbing my cell phone, I dialed his number.
“What’s up, shorty ma?”
“If you didn’t know I was Brianna and you was looking for her, why did you pursue me?”
“If I couldn’t have the original, I was going to settle for the look alike.”
“You’re an ass.”
“And you have a lot of ass. So, now what?”
“Have a safe flight, Devin.”
“Aight, I’ll call you later.” Hanging up, I couldn’t stop the smile from reforming on my face.
“What?”
“Whewwww that man still got a hold on me, that’s what.”
“Did you tell him about Mila?” That changed my mood quickly.
“No, and I’m not.” Tyla looked shocked and I didn’t blame her.
“Blaise, you can’t do that. How are you going to be fucking on that man and not tell him about his child?”
“Easy, with my legs open and some wet wipes to clean it up.” I laughed, but she didn’t. She didn’t know about the contract, and I wasn’t about to tell her. I signed an NDA, so technically, I couldn’t. I didn’t go through all of this only to breach it over something so simple.
“Wow! I never knew you were that kind of person.” I shrugged my shoulders because I knew she didn’t understand.
“Get back to work. I need stats on the games I missed.” I could tell she wanted to say more, but at the end of the day, I was her boss. I was done talking about it. I felt bad enough, but I couldn’t tell her or Devin. All I could do was pray he never found out.
