Chapter 29

“Boy sit down. You making me nervous, hell!” My OG was going off on me, but I could barely function.

I had no idea why though because this wasn’t my first interaction with Mila.

After the funeral, I’ve been on the phone with them for weeks and I’ve came to see them a couple of times in between.

However, this was the first time we were actually going to be together for days.

The playoffs were about to start, and I wouldn’t have much time for anything once they did. So, I wanted some time with her.

“Twin, did you read the articles like I told you?” I could hear her smacking her lips and I couldn’t do shit but laugh.

“Boy, I told you I did, but I’m a mother. I don’t need all that shit to tell me how to be with my grandchild.”

“I just don’t want yall saying the wrong thing. Landon-…”

“Nigga, I read it. I got the stuff you asked me to get her. I’m going to be on my best behavior. Anything else?” Hearing my phone ding a smile spread across my face.

“They’re here.” I turned to run out the room and ran into the door hard as fuck.

“This simple mufucka. Lord, help him.” Landon fell out laughing at moms, but I gathered myself and kept going. When I got to the door, I fixed my shirt before opening it.

“Hey, Mila. How was your flight, baby girl?”

“Long! It was a long line to get to the plane. A long line on the plane. Ooh, but mommy got me snacks at the airport and I got a new toy. Wanna see?” Smiling, I bent down and let her show me the toy.

“It’s perfect, just like you. Are you ready to meet your grandma?”

“Do you think she’s going to like me?”

“I’m going to love you. What’s taking yall so long to bring me my baby.” My OG was standing there with her walker, but her hand was on her hip.

“You’re old.” Trying not to laugh out loud, I begged my OG with my eyes.

“Ain’t nothing old about GG. Come here girl and give me a hug with your cute self.” Mila ran over and wrapped her arms around her.

“Mommy said I have a berry mark like you. Do yours look like mine or is it old and wrinkly?”

“It might have a hair or two, but it’s still sitting pretty. Come on, let me take you to meet your brother Jr.” I shook my head as I turned towards Brianna. My mother calling Landon my son always made me feel a way that I tried to ignore.

“You gone stand out there or are you going to come inside?” She looked nervous, but I had no idea why. Brianna had already met them.

“Maybe I should go to the hotel, and you bring her back later.” She was scared they were going to light into her ass for keeping Mila from me.

“Bring yo scary ass on.” Grabbing her by the hand, I pulled her inside. I could have let it go, but it felt good, so I kept holding it as we walked in the front with the others. “I know the situation ended crazy, but I wanted to tell you sorry for your loss.”

“I’m fine.” The news had spread that Garrett died in a car accident that appeared to be a suicide, and while I didn’t give a fuck about that nigga, and wanted to put hands on him, she was married to him.

“Look at the dummy back in love,” Landon tried to whisper to my OG, but we heard him.

“Ain’t even hold off a month.”

“Daddy, I didn’t know you was a dummy. You didn’t go to college?”

“Yes, I did, Jam. Don’t listen to them. Remember, your GG is old.”

“And she smells like old people candy.” I almost choked on my own spit. Especially, when I looked up and saw how my mama was looking.

“Jam, what did I tell you about saying whatever comes to your mind? Sometimes, what you think is curiosity can be offensive to others.” Brianna looked horrified, but I was loving this shit. Twin had met her match.

“Dang, nana I ain’t never seen you speechless. Mila don’t be coming for my girl like that. We gone have to fight.” Landon joked as he walked over to her and picked her up.

“Mommy, is it offensive to tell someone they are musty?” We all looked at Landon and fell out laughing as he dropped her back down.

“Yes, baby. It is. Come here, Jam.” I intervened and picked my baby up.

“She ain’t said nothing wrong. These two always trying to go at somebody else, but they just got humbled by a five year old. You get to go on a shopping spree for that.” I tickled Mila as she giggled without a clue she had offended everybody in the house.

“How about you, your magician of a baby mama, and that smart mouth heffa get out of my house.” My OG was rolling her eyes and her neck, so I knew she was hot.

“I’ve been put out of better places, butter scotch.” She threw a pillow at me as I walked towards the door. “Landon, bring yo ass before I leave you here.” He hugged my mama before we all walked out the door laughing. I could never get enough of this.

Pulling up to the house, I looked over at Brianna and she was knocked out.

We just left the stadium and it only take twenty minutes to get home.

Her mouth was open, and slob was running down the side of her chin.

I don’t know why, but seeing her comfortable like this had me envisioning this for our life.

Reaching over, I moved her hair behind her ear before nudging her to wake her up.

“Hey big head, we home.” She jumped up and looked around as if she forgot where she was. Wiping her mouth, she blushed at me as if she was embarrassed.

“Twenty minutes. Come on before you get that hot ass slob in my good leather.” We climbed out, and I grabbed Mila from the backseat who was also knocked out. “You would think it’s three in the morning the way yall acting.”

“You forgot she’s normally sleep by eight thirty, but she was determined to watch you play.”

“Yeah, now we have to work on her cheering for my team. She was screaming with joy every time they scored. Fuck you teaching her?”

“She knows a ball hogging show off when she sees one.” We both laughed as we took her to my guest room, and I laid her down. Removing her clothes, I pulled out some pajamas, but Brianna stopped me.

“She only likes to wear the blue ones on Friday’s.” Nodding I grabbed the other pair out of her bag. Once I was done getting her settled, I got ready to walk out of the room, but Brianna was staying behind.

“What you doing?”

“I ummm. I didn’t know where I should go.”

“Mannnn, if you don’t bring yo humble head ass on.

” Giggling, she followed behind me. When we got in my room, she stood off to the side.

“You can stay in here, and I’ll sleep in my other room.

It’s right across from Mila, so I’ll be able to get to her if she wakes up scared.

” Brianna nodded, but she looked disappointed.

“Okay.”

“What’s wrong?” She shook her head, but I walked up to her and could see she was getting nervous. “You want me to stay in here with you, baby mama?”

“I’m fine,” she said with more attitude than she realized. Grabbing her by her ass, I pulled her into me.

“Tell me you want me to stay?”

“I want you to stay, dang!” Placing my lips on hers, I kissed her hard. It’s been a minute since I had some pussy. Hell, it was before I found out about Mila.

“Take this shit off and go wash that mufucka.” Usually, Brianna got a lot of shit to say, but this time, she did as I asked in a hurry.

Shorty ma was running to the bathroom causing me to laugh.

It must have been a minute for her ass too.

Removing my clothes, I climbed in the bed and waited for her to get out.

I showered at the stadium before I came out, so all I had to do was wait on her to come put a nigga to sleep.
