The Girl in Plain Sight

A girl's body has turned up, and the discovery pulls Scarlett Crosby back to the captivity she survived at fifteen. She escaped. Their predator was killed. Della, the other girl, vanished so completely that Detective Kevin Dawson came to doubt she had ever existed.

Scarlett never did. A decade later she is a successful artist, and Della remains the obsession she cannot shake. Then Scarlett sees her hiding in plain sight—the one person who would know the compromises Scarlett made to endure that hell, and the darkness she took on in order to live through it.

Dawson, still suspicious, comes calling again. As obsession turns deadly, Scarlett can find no one she trusts. From a distance Della is watching, and Scarlett has no way of knowing what she wants now, or what fresh nightmare may be waiting.
