Chapter 7 #2

That has the others laughing. Megan stands up, taking her cover off, and grabs a life vest out of a storage bench.

I remain seated, watching with amusement as Aiden watches Megan with a very appreciative look.

Hmmmmm, that would be an interesting pairing.

Maybe we were both meant to meet these guys .

Camden and Aiden help her get on the board and put it in the water, and I become very aware of Donovan taking the empty seat next to me.

Turning to look at him as he holds out an already opened beer, I take it and thank him before taking a swig of it, trying to gain some liquid courage.

“So, what is your schedule at work like?” I ask, hoping to keep the conversation on neutral grounds. Work seems like a safe topic.

“Well, I work evenings Monday through Thursday, and I have Friday through Sunday off.”

“That sounds nice, only having to work four days a week.”

“Yeah, it is. It allows for time to recover from work.”

“I can’t complain about my schedule. I get awesome vacation time. Though, there has been talk about modifying our schedule to a four day school week to be more similar to a college setting.”

“Really? I probably would have gotten better grades in school if I had to be there less. I was never one that liked to sit still. I guess you could say I’m a man of action.

” There is a glint in his eye that makes me wonder what kind of actions he would excel at, but then he continues, “So, Kinley, what do you do when you’re not working? ”

I think for a moment. I’m kind of a boring person. I’m about to answer, but Aiden’s excited cheering turns our attention to Megan, who’s kneeboarding like a pro.

Keeping my beer in hand, I stand up and start cheering her on. Donovan is right there next to me, shouting encouragement.

“Camden, you’re so going to get whooped by a girl!”

Megan does it for a little longer and then lets go of the rope. Brent quickly slows the boat down and loops back around to pick her up.As the boat pulls up beside her, Aiden reaches down and pulls her in. She’s grinning from ear to ear.

“I didn’t think I was able to do that anymore.”

“That was amazing!” Aiden exclaims, before turning to face Brent. “You totally owe me a hundred bucks.”

The guys continue to give each other a hard time, and Donovan decides to go next on the kneeboard, since Camden knows he’s beat.

I almost choke on my mouthful of beer as I watch in awe as Donovan takes off his shirt.

He has a six pack for days and is built like a dream.

Holy shit, the tattoos that cover that man!

They are a beautiful mix of blacks, grays, and vibrant colors.

His upper torso and back are covered in intricate designs, and I’m mesmerized.

I have to school my face so it doesn’t show my disappointment when he puts the life vest on.

Megan hands me a napkin. I look down at it and then look at her confused.

“What is this for?”

Megan smirks at me. “It’s to wipe the drool off your face.”

I shove her playfully and hand the napkin back. Brent, having seen me push Megan, walks over and puts his arms around us. Hmmmm, he smells really good.

“Don’t fight ladies…there is plenty of me to go around.” That gets us both laughing at him. We scoot out from under his arms and walk over to the bench seats to watch Donovan on the kneeboard.

After a few hours we get tired of the kneeboard, and Brent puts the anchor down so everyone can go swimming.

It’s early fall so the water is a little chilly, but with the sun shining bright, it is a nice reprieve from the heat.

Not that cold temperatures bother me anyways.

I’m itching to get in, my swim the other day was nowhere near long enough to sate my need.

It’s been harder lately not being near a body of water that is large and secluded enough for me to fully embrace all parts of me.

I’ve been so unsettled, like I’m unconsciously searching for a missing piece, but I can’t for the life of me figure out what that could be. Maybe it’s time to take a trip home.

The loud bark of Kinley’s dog, Beretta, takes me away from my thoughts, I grin widely at how eager she is to finally get in.

She launches herself overboard after Camden throws her toy.

Megan’s bump on a log, Travis, is quite content to continue lying in the sun on the deck. His doggie life vest is hilarious.

Brent chases Megan around the boat, and when he finally catches her he throws her overboard.

She is screaming obscenities at him until she hits the surface.

Brent jumps in after her and swims circles around her, laughing as she cusses at him.

Megan calls out to Kinley to come help her get the “asshole”.

I’m grinning so widely that my cheeks are starting to ache. These girls are something else.

Aiden and I are lounging in the seats drinking beer, when I choke and almost spit beer all over the boat.

Kinley has just taken that tease of a cover up off to jump in; she’s absolutely stunning.

Her body is full figured and curved to perfection.

She looks all soft and plush. The black and teal backless one piece hugs her curved body just right.

She takes my breath away—literally. Her full, bubbly ass is barely covered, and I’m desperate to sink my teeth into it.

I’m taken aback at how strongly I’m reacting at just the sight of her.

I could blame it on the long dry spell, but I don’t think my reaction to Kinley has anything to do with that.

I haven’t needed that kind of connection in a long time, but the need to just be in her presence floors me.

When she turns, I’m stunned at just how far the front of her suit plunges between the valley of her large breasts. There’s just a hint of her belly button; I want to run my tongue up the middle of her body until I get to her lips.

Aiden pounds me on the back to get me breathing again. Coughing, I still can’t take my eyes off of her. Right before she jumps in, she glances back at me, and with a naughty smirk, she gives her hips a little wiggle. Goddess, the way her ass jiggled. What I wouldn’t give to take a bite.

“Holy shit man, I’m a goner,” I mutter quietly to Aiden.

“I know what you mean, man. Megan is a little firecracker, and she is way off limits.

I give him a sly look, “Megan, eh?”

“Yeah, I know. There is just something about her.”

“So, what are you going to do about it?”

“Absolutely nothing, Don; she is married.” I can see the resignation written all over his face, but I know there is nothing I can do for him, he’s too honorable to even think about crossing that line.

We finish our beers and jump in the water to help the girls dunk Brent and Camden. The six of us swim and horse around for the rest of the afternoon, only stopping to drink beer and eat some of the food we brought. I absolutely love being in the water, it calms my very soul.

When it starts to get dark and the others are all chilled from swimming in the rapidly cooling water, we all get back into the boat and get ready to go back to the dock.

Megan and Kinley are curled up on the bench seats, both wrapped in towels.

Camden is sitting across from them, and Brent is sprawled out on the floor right next to Beretta and Travis.

I take the wheel and drive the boat back.

Aiden stays close to me, helping to spot anything that might obstruct our path.

With practiced ease, I pull the boat up to the dock and coordinate with Camden and Brent to get the ropes and tie the boat down.

When the boat is secured, I go over to the girls; they look like they are asleep.

I don’t want our time together to end just yet, so I do what any self respecting male would do. I ask them to dinner.

“How about we take you ladies out for dinner at the diner in town?”

Opening my eyes, I peer up at Donovan. His warm smile is so infectious.

”That sounds great. Can you please carry me, I don’t think I can move now.”

I lift up my arms and give him a pitiful look. He threw me around while we were swimming several times, so I’m almost positive he can carry me off this boat. I’m too tired to move. He chuckles and calls to Aiden, who comes over. “What’s up, Don?”

“It seems like these ladies are all worn out and need to be carried. I will take Kinley, and you get Megan.”

Donovan scoops me up, and I can’t help but snuggle into his sun-warmed skin.

Aiden picks up Megan. She starts to protest but then decides not to when she realizes how warm and strong Aiden is as well.

That’s my girl! I grin up at Donovan as he walks up the dock with me in his arms. I’m having a pure girly moment, basking in his strength, not quite believing that I’m in fact being carried.

When you are a bigger girl, it’s a rarity to find a man that can pick you up, let alone carry you a distance.

For that alone I’m going to do whatever it takes to keep him.

I wonder if he could throw me around during sex?

Pin me up against a wall and fuck me? Ooooooo shower sex!

Fuck! Now I’m horny, god damnit Kinley! Calm your tits!

Donovan yells at Brent and Camden to grab the dogs and the coolers, and I smirk at their faint grumbles about the short end of the stick.

“Thanks for carrying me,” I say quietly to Donovan.

“Kinley, any way I can get my hands on you. I’m happy to do it.”

That admission causes me to blush, and my stomach dips at Donovan’s grin. When we get to Megan’s car, Donovan sets me down gently, allowing me to open the doors so Camden and Brent can set the stuff right into the car.

“Did you girls want to change first? Or are you ok going to dinner the way you are?”

“Well, we need to take the dogs back, so we might as well change. Give us thirty minutes.”

Once everything is loaded into the cars, we drive back to Megan’s house formulating a game plan to get the dogs fed and us cleaned up in a timely manner.

“Megan, I’ve never been this interested in a man before. It’s weird right? Is he perfect or am I just jaded by subpar men?”

I look over at Megan who is nodding in agreement.

“I wouldn’t say that it’s weird, just not the norm. He is really great, Kinley. Hell, they all are. I can’t believe how much fun I had. Today was perfect, and now four gorgeous men are buying us dinner.” Megan smiles widely.

It is so good to see her smile, her cheeks will probably be sore tomorrow from how much she smiled today. It has been too long since she had this much fun.

Soon we are pulling up to the house and we quickly get to work taking the coolers out and setting them in the kitchen to be dealt with later. The dogs rush into the house only to sprawl out on the living room floor. Neither of them move a muscle while we race around the house, trying to get ready.

There isn’t time to shower, so we both just dry off, put our hair up into messy buns, and throw clothes on. Messy buns are adorable.

I’m upstairs trying to quickly decide what to wear when I hear Megan call out for me. All she does is call my name, but from the sound of her voice I know immediately that something is wrong.

Just in a bra and panties I race downstairs, leaping down the last two and running into Megan’s bedroom.

I find her sitting on the bed holding her phone as I skid into the room. She looks up at me with tears swimming in her eyes, and my stomach sinks.“What’s wrong?”

“It’s Todd. They don’t think he is going to make it much longer.

I have to go back tonight.” Her lip quivers slightly before she takes a deep breath.

Then right before my eyes, I see her putting her mental armor back on piece by piece, until she composes herself.

“I have to go. Are you going to be alright up here by yourself?”

“Oh, honey, I’m so sorry. Don’t worry about anything here. I will lock up the house and take care of everything. You go, and be safe driving, alright. Do you need help packing?”

“No, I will just change and load Travis in the car. Tell the guys I’m sorry.”

“Don’t worry about them; they will completely understand. Do you need me to go with you? I can take some time off work.”

“No, you enjoy the rest of your weekend. I will call you when I get back, ok?“

I help Megan get Travis and her bag in the car and watch her drive out of the driveway. My heart breaks for her. Brushing a tear from my cheek, I turn to go back into the house and call Donovan.
