Chapter 33 Riven

Riven

“Ugh, come on, little burden. We don’t have all day.”

For the Valories, what’s taking that goddess so long?

All my brothers are in the kitchen, so I know she isn’t getting her butt touched.

“Thayla—”

Her bathroom door swings open before I can bang again and I smirk down at her scowling face.

“Oh, goodie, you’re ready.”

She rolls those tempting multicolored eyes at me with a huff.

“If you were going to rush me, why did you wait until the literal last second before telling me to go shower? Also, we do have all day. The sun’s only been up an hour.”

“I didn’t realize you’d take this long. I went and showered as soon as I told you too.”

“My hair is a good two feet, if not more, longer than yours. Do you think we take the same amount of time to shower?”

Didn’t really consider that.

It took Kyzen a while to wash it, so I probably should’ve.

“You’ve been washing your hair for at least twenty years on your own. You should’ve gained some speed by this point.”

A laugh barks out of me as I jump out of the way of her incoming knee.

She’s so vicious.

She must know that turns me on.

“Come on. Go tell your other boyfriends bye so we can get this shit show over with.”

“Why is showing me your role a shit show?”

“Because it’s stupid. Why do you need to know?”

“Why don’t you want me to know?”

Ugh. All her questions.

The sound of her voice is delicious, though.

I follow her out of her room. Well, almost. I smack into her doorframe because I was watching her hips sway with every step she took.

The little tease knows it too.

She doesn’t even look back to check on me.

Her laugh drifts down her hallway and surrounds me. I shiver.

I groan and gag loudly when I finally make my own way into the kitchen and find her draped across Kyzen’s lap. Lips sealed together.

“You look adorable when you’re jealous,” Creed scoffs and I sneer at the smirk on his face.

“Don’t use my own words against me. Plus, I always look adorable.”

He rolls those, not so sad anymore eyes at me, but they whip to our Binder when she lets out a squealing laugh as Kyzen tickles her off his lap.

That sound is changing back.

Just a few days ago, it was pitched lower, less…her.

It’s coming back.

I remain standing and staring at her as she makes her way around the table to each of my brothers. They lavish her with their affection and she glows.

Her hands linger like it’s taking effort on her part to let them go and she leans toward them as though she simply can’t help it.

“Wish me luck,” she sings as she makes her way to me.

As soon as she’s in arm’s reach, I tug her to me and seal my mouth to hers. Her tight little body softens up so sweetly and she allows me to kiss her exactly as I please.

Oh, little burden, I’ve figured you out.

“Ready?” I ask as I break our kiss. Her lids flutter and I smirk in victory.

“Umm…yeah.”

“Ready to go see my role or go to the bedroom?”

Her eyes flare and her lips part.

“Can I have both?”

My mouth curves even more.

I boop her on the nose and tug her toward the front door. “See you later, losers. I’ll take real good care of our goddess.”

Their grumbles follow us out the front door and my chuckle grows louder as I watch her rub those delectable thighs together.

“What’s wrong with your legs?”

She scowls up at me with the cutest pinched expression. “You know what’s wrong, asshole. Stop calling me out.”

“Yeah, yeah. All those smouches from your men have you a little horny mess.”

“Well, if you weren’t such a tease—”

Her back is pressed into the front door faster than she can blink. I run my nose from her collarbone, up to her lips, and snap the button on her pants. Her gasp wraps around me as I shove my hand right on it.

I’m shocked I don’t rip right through the material.

That sweet, surprised sound morphs right into a moan as I drag my finger through her wetness.

“Well, well, well. Someone really wanted her men.”

“Yes,” she whimpers as I nip her earlobe and tease her clit.

“Tell me the truth, and I’ll give you what you want and need.”

“Riven.”

My lips trail back down her jaw.

“Are you holding yourself back from showing us what you consider too much affection, angel?”

My hand stops moving as she grunts but doesn’t give me her words.

“That’s not going to work for me,” I say, kissing up and down her neck. “I won’t make you look me in the eyes. I’ll keep my head right here, laying my lips to your skin while my fingers work your pussy. As long as you give me the truth.”

“Gods,” she moans.

“God of Duality, actually.”

Her hands grip my shoulders as I slowly draw a circle on her clit.

“Yes.”

“Yes, what?”

“I’ve been holding myself back.”

“Why?”

“Because those shadows changed me in a way I don’t understand, but I don’t feel it as strongly when I’m in one of your arms. I’m trying not to seem desperate or needy.”

I plunge a finger deep inside of her, shivering at her groan.

“Do you think the shadows really changed you or made you realize something you’re too afraid to admit?”

“Both.”

I bite, then suck away the small sting of pain I know thrums through her neck.

I hope it marks.

“We’re desperate and needy. My brothers are frothing at the mouth for a piece of your perfection. It’s been so fucking hard keeping my hands off you, my lips to myself, and all the things I want to do to you locked away in my mind.

“We know firsthand what you went through, so we haven’t wanted to push, but if touch is what you want, need…we got eight hands that I’m sure could work wonders, little burden.”

“Riven, please.” Her hips buck and I pick up my pace.

“Don’t you fucking hold yourself back from me ever again. I should strap you to my face and torture you with my tongue until you understand that completely.”

Her nails dig into my shoulders and I press my body closer to her.

Completely trapping her between me and the door.

“Tell me you’re done holding yourself back. Swear it to me.”

“I’m done. I swear I’m done.”

Valories, her cries are so fucking magnificent.

“Good, little burden. Now come undone on my hand.”

I tilt my head back and a satisfied grin crosses my lips as she goes fucking boom.

She crashes into my chest and if it weren’t for my arm wrapping around her waist, she’d hit the ground.

No part of me wants to pull my fingers out of her.

I eventually do, though. Unfortunately.

I wait until she lifts those flushed cheeks and dilated eyes up to mine before I stick my fingers in my mouth. Every drop of evidence on my hand slides down my throat, and I groan, craving more.

“Delicious.”

“I can’t believe we just did that out in the open.” Her breath rushes from her.

I scoff and wave my hand through the air, summoning my Chaos back to me. Obviously, she either didn’t notice the disorientation or assumed it was her vision blurring from that mind-blowing orgasm I just gave her.

“As if I’d ever let someone see you like that. I’d carve their eyes from their skull.”

“Geez, Riven.” She chuckles, and I arch a brow as I button her pants back up.

Should’ve done that prior to calling my power back.

“What? It’d drive me fucking mental if I knew someone else saw you come. The thought alone makes me a little crazy.”

My eye twitches.

Her smile turns tender and I swear I nearly fall at her feet.

She adores me.

“Are you really ready to go now?”

That sweet smile of hers instantly turns sassy.

“Are you?” Her eyes drift down to my dick, which is hard as a rock and that’s very obvious.

She scowls and whips her gaze behind me as I rearrange myself. I laugh at her own possessiveness but almost grunt from pain.

Didn’t think that’d make me even harder.

“Better?” I ask.

“Yes,” she grits out.

“Do you remember how to get to Annalise’s?”

Her scary look evaporates right before my eyes.

“Is that where we’re going today?”

“No. I just needed to give you a place to starshoot to. Then of course we’ll have to walk since you don’t know where you’re going.”

“Yes, I remember.”

“Meet me there then.”

“Don’t you dare lea—”

My starshoot whisks me away, leaving nothing but my laugh behind. She’ll do just fine and she likes it when I keep her on her toes.

My power releases me and I smile fondly at the house in front of me. It’s eerily quiet right now, but that’s because Annalise and the kids are walking through the market with Ellian.

Their morning routine is to ‘walk him to work.’

It’s been Annalise’s tradition since they got married centuries ago. They’d mosey through the market together and then he’d starshoot from the end of there to the Godsdawn.

Every day.

I hated it when we were first placed in their care. Hence the running away.

She always found me, though.

“Gods, you’re an ass.”

I spin around, grinning as Thayla finally shows up with her arms crossed and foot tapping.

“You always get where you need to go. Come on.” I motion my hand forward, but she looks longingly over my shoulder.

“Aww, are they not home? I was hoping to tell Annalise hey. It’s been a while since I’ve seen her.”

“They’re on their morning walk. We’ll come back another time.” I tug her along by her elbow.

“Why are you being so weird?”

“I’m always this way.”

“Nope, now you’re deflecting.”

“Ugh,” I groan and cut my eyes at her. She’s not going to let me ignore this. “I haven’t seen Annalise or the kids since the whole Abandon shit. The kids are the quickest way to get my Harmony in overdrive.”

“Are you still avoiding your Harmony?”

“Avoiding? No. I’m about to use it in a minute. I just don’t want it to take over. I’ve written her letters, though, and explained all this. Everything’s fine.”

“You’re sure?”

“Positive. I’m being one hundred percent honest.”

She snorts. “That doesn’t sound convincing, but I’ll believe you.”

“Good ’cause I really am telling the truth.”

“Want to tell the truth about some more stuff?”

“I should’ve seen that coming.” I huff and drag my feet, earning myself a hip bump and a scoff.

“Don’t even. I told you plain as day what my intentions today were.”
