Captain’s Log August Thorn (Day 2)

CAPTAIN’S LOG // AUGUST THORN

TREK NOTES

Things that went smoothly today:

Late start, but got everyone from place to place in decent time

Minimal complaints from the group—bodes well for good ratings

Great weather, good food—also good for ratings

Things that weren’t so great:

Matteo and I still aren’t speaking. It’s awkward, at best, but could be a real problem if we don’t deal soon.

Sadie—She’s trying, which I appreciate. Her shoes are definitely an issue. This morning’s late start was due to her elaborate setup.

My own focus. Between Matteo and Sadie, I’m more distracted than usual—be careful to maintain focus tomorrow for the sake of the group.

FOR DAD

Cloverleaf Creek looked healthy—not too high, not too low

Saw two types of hummingbirds near the creek bed—Anna’s Hummingbird and Calliope Hummingbird
