Chapter One #2

“So, go on. Tell me what’s happening.”

“Agent Dixon.”

“Hm, I should have guessed,” Freddie muttered. “What has he been doing this time?”

“Other than being frustratingly attractive?” I said, nose buried in my wine glass.

“So you keep telling me. You really need to share a picture with me. I’m curious.”

“Yeah, taking covert pictures of MI6 agents is a bit of a no-no.” I smirked.

“I’m sure if anyone could find a way, it’s you.”

“You’d like him, I think. He’s just your type.”

Freddie grinned at me. “A top or bottom, you think?”

“Ooh, now that’s a tough one to call,” I sniggered. “He’s got a rough man’s-man persona going on, but I do wonder if he’d be that way once he was broken down a bit…”

“What has the dreamboat done today that has left you so tense?”

I hesitated. I never kept secrets from Freddie. He was my person, my rock. We’d been through a lot together, more than any other normal couple, that was for sure. I trusted him implicitly.

“We may be a teensy bit compromised.”

Freddie’s hands faltered, his head snapping up. “Did you just say compromised?”

I took another sip of wine and shrugged.

“Alright, that might be a tad dramatic, but Agent Dixon has begun to grow suspicious. He’s started his own little investigation into some of the dead ends that both of us know need to stay dead.

I was thinking perhaps you could help. You’re rather good at making things disappear. ”

Freddie was silent for a moment, though I could practically hear the cogs whirring in his mind. “Leave it with me.”

Though that was a decidedly vague confirmation, I knew Freddie had the skills to make sure Agent Dixon never found the answers to his questions. I didn’t pretend to understand the tech behind it, but I knew when Freddie told me to leave something with him, he would deal with it.

“Thanks, baby,” I sighed, tipping back a large mouthful with a gulp. “That Agent Dixon is a real go-getter. If he wasn’t so close to getting himself in some serious hot water, I would be impressed.”

“Let’s hope he’s not too hungry for a promotion, hm?” Freddie smirked at me. “You’d better watch your arse.”

I narrowed my eyes. “I don’t think he’d look nearly as hot as I do in Kevlar. Although…”

“So, other than the small matter of a potential red alert risk of compromise at work, how was the rest of your day?”

I shrugged. “Boring. I spent it sitting behind a desk. You know how it is.”

It was no secret that I was not cut out for the office life.

My whole career had been one exciting, dangerous thrill to the next – the army, SAS, E Squadron – and yet it had led me here, to MI6.

Sure, it was a promotion – I was now deciding who got the off, instead of getting my hands dirty – but I had to admit I yearned for the days where I was the one doing the offing…

Still, it had to be this way. I felt my body tighten up just thinking about it.

Something about Freddie’s demeanour shifted, his gaze growing heated. A shiver danced up my spine as I held eye contact. The way he rubbed and petted my feet became slower, deeper…

“You really are tense, huh? You want me to do something to help with that?”

My toes curled again, this time of their own accord. “I wouldn’t say no. Have we got time before dinner?”

“Knowing you? We’ll have time to spare.”

Freddie slid from the sofa, dropping to his knees in front of me and I twisted to face him, leaning back into the soft pillows.

When his hands slipped up my legs beneath my pencil skirt, my breath hitched and I lifted my hips, allowing Freddie to push the material up until it bunched at my waist. I spread my legs, clad in thigh-high stockings, lifting one to rest a foot on his shoulder.

Freddie fell on me with a groan, nuzzling his face between my legs eagerly.

He took a moment to tease me, inhaling the smell of me through my underwear and pressing hot kisses up and down, over my mound and the insides of my thighs.

I sipped my wine, a soft moan slipping from me when I felt his fingers grasp the elasticated edges of my underwear and I obediently brought my legs together for a moment so he could remove them completely.

Freddie didn’t waste any time. Before I could even get my foot back up onto his shoulder, his mouth was on me – hot, wet and perfect. I groaned, rolling my hips up to his attention as he got to work lapping my flesh the way he knew I liked.

“Mm,” I hummed, eyes sliding closed as a hand found his hair and grabbed a fistful of it. “That feels nice. You’re a good boy, Freddie.”

My words earnt me a shaky exhalation of breath against my wet skin and I smiled.

My relationship with Freddie was perhaps a strange one by conventional standards.

Whilst to the outside world, he was exceedingly intelligent, capable and all around very much in control of his life, here with me?

Here, Freddie was under my control and he adored it.

I had only been too keen to play into his submissive streak and he’d relinquished almost immediately.

Just the thought of it had me growing achy.

“A couple of fingers,” I instructed, already breathless with pleasure. When Freddie did as I asked, slipping two digits inside me, my head fell back with a groan. “That’s it, good.”

I wanted the pleasure to last, to never end, but Freddie had been completely on the money when he’d told me I wasn’t going to be able to hold out for long.

With his tongue assaulting me in all the right places and his fingers thrusting back and forth in a slow, steady rhythm, I quickly felt myself coming undone.

“Fuck, yes,” I gasped, writhing a little. “You’re such a good boy.”

Freddie simply hummed in response, increasing his tempo until I couldn’t hold back any longer.

“Ooh, yes, yes,” I whined, eyes flickering shut as my pleasure peaked. I tightened my hold on Freddie’s hair until I was sure it had to be hurting him.

He took it without complaint, obediently keeping his mouth on me until I began to tremble and pushed him away.

“Thanks, baby,” I purred, sucking in a few shaky breaths as I willed my heart rate to slow.

With my hand still in his hair, I encouraged Freddie to lean in over me and he did so without question, finding my mouth with his own.

His body was wound tight with tension, and I allowed my stocking-clad foot to slip to his groin, stroking my toes against the hard flesh I found there.

Freddie groaned, kissing me harder, but he knew how our games went.

“That was good,” I sighed, pulling away to stroke his face. “But you’re going to wait for yours until later, okay?”

There wasn’t even a flicker of annoyance, Freddie’s face simply softening into a smile. “Yes.”

“Good boy. Now, get off me and go check on dinner. I have worked up an appetite.”

Freddie cast me a knowing smirk but heaved himself up onto his feet and wandered back into the kitchen out of sight.

I tugged my skirt back down and stretched back into the sofa.

I was smiling ear to ear and took a greedy sip, releasing another long sigh.

My relaxation didn’t last long as a sharp rap came at the door.

In an instant, my body was shot with tension and I sat up, swinging my legs over the edge of the sofa.

“Can you get that?” Freddie shouted. “My hands are full here.”

“Sure,” I replied, carefully placing my glass on the side table before padding to the door. I leant in to the peephole, surprised to see a takeaway delivery driver standing there, his face illuminated by his phone screen and a pizza box in hand.

I tugged the door open, leaning my hip into it. “Hey, can I help you?”

The man didn’t respond. He just held out the pizza box and I frowned.

“Sorry, I don’t think—”

“I deliver for Roberts?” he asked in broken English, gesturing to the pizza.

My eyes narrowed with suspicion but allowed the man to shove the box into my hands. He snapped a quick photo as proof of delivery before turning on his heel and disappearing down the corridor. Still bemused, I turned back into the flat and kicked the door closed behind me.

“Who was it?” Freddie shouted over the noise of pan lids clanging.

“Pizza, apparently,” I muttered, and resting the box on the sideboard, I flicked open the lid.

Inside was a pizza, as promised, but it wasn’t just that…

“Freddie?” I called out, picking up a small, metal business card. It was black, with no information on it other than two wiggly lines – the star sign symbol for Aquarius. My heart began to thunder and sweat broke out down my back.

“Yeah? What’s—” Freddie’s voice caught in his throat as he saw me, and I held up the card for him.

“Box up dinner to go. Looks like we’re needed elsewhere.”
