Host: Now, a lot of people have been following Harmony’s career since her Lucky Stars days. Were you aware of her back then?
Riff: Of course. Everybody was.
Host: Yeah?
Riff: Yeah, totally. My roommates and I used to watch the show with some girls that lived in our apartment building. Not gonna lie, we weren’t always watching the show, if you know what I mean …
Host: (laughs) Right. Been there.
Riff: But yeah, I remember her, I remember when she didn’t get enough votes to keep going.
After that, I kind of had a vague sense of her career progression, although I wasn’t a die-hard fan or anything.
Not because she’s not awesome, but just because I was working on my own stuff, you know?
I was all in on finishing school, and then shoving my music into every spare corner of time I had left over.
Host: Sure, I get it. So you never had a thing for her, then.
Riff: (hesitates) I mean, I always liked her music, and I thought she was cute, but I didn’t think I’d ever meet her in person, so …
Host: She’s been taking a lot of heat lately though.
I’m sure you’ve noticed. People are talking about how much she’s changed physically, there are lots of photos going around comparing her to what she used to look like, how she’s put on some weight and all that.
What do you think though? I’d venture to guess you feel like she’s still got it, otherwise you wouldn’t be dating her. (chuckles)

Riff: (hesitates for a long moment) You know, I think it’s really stupid to compare Harmony, or any woman for that matter, to her younger self.
Harmony was barely out of high school when she did Lucky Stars, and now she’s a full-grown woman.
Bodies change. So what? She was beautiful then, she’s beautiful now.
Yes, I’m fucking attracted to her. You wanna make comparisons?
Compare her music from the early days to now; talk about how her melodies have become more layered and complex, how her lyrics have become more nuanced.
Compare her first single hitting number four on Billboard to the fact that she had four number one singles all in the same year in 2023.
Host: (laughs nervously) Okay, okay. Fair enough. I’m not trying to say anything bad. It’s just my job to ask questions related to what everyone’s talking about. I personally like a woman with some curves, so trust me, I don’t see anything wrong with how she looks.
Riff: (scoffs) I’ll let her know you approve.
Host: Come on, man. I didn’t mean it like that.
Riff: I think it’s really interesting that no one’s online comparing me to what I looked like when I first started.
Also, no one’s talking about how Kid Konan gained a lot of weight recently, and no one’s saying that Luke Onstenk is looking “tired” and “should get some Botox” even though he’s nearing forty.
