49. CHAPTER 46 #5
I moved harder, faster, chasing something I couldn't put a finger on—grief and pleasure twisted so tight I couldn't separate them.
The sound of our bodies coming together filled the room, obscene squelches as my cock plunged into her tight heat, and when I faltered, a choked groan escaping my lips, she pulled me down with her nails raking my back.
“Let go,” she purred. “You're doing so good, Orion. Loving me like this even when it hurts.” Her lips brushed my temple. “I'm so proud of you.”
That destroyed me.
It wasn’t just the heat of her body or the way she gripped my cock as tight as a fist, but the choice in every word. The way she’d seen me breaking and met me there. How easily she reached for me in the dark and gave me exactly what I needed without making me beg for it.
My rhythm turned desperate, my hips snapping harder, and my cock pistoning in and out of her with brutal force. I buried my face in her neck as everything pulled tight in my gut. “I'm close,” I gasped, my teeth biting her shoulder. “Fuck, I’m—”
“Be a good boy and come for me,” she whispered, clenching harder around me. “I want to feel all of you.”
The words tore through me so hard my hips stuttered, and my vision whiting out at the edges.
A wrecked, helpless sound broke from my throat—not a groan, not a moan, but a sound more animalistic and unfiltered than I’d ever heard come out of my own mouth.
Everything in me obeyed before I could even think, my body answering to her command as if she’d pulled a string attached directly to my spine.
I drove deep one last time, grinding against her cervix, and came so hard my lungs forgot their purpose and every coherent thought vanished. All I could do was unravel.
My cock pulsed as I emptied myself inside her, filling her completely.
The orgasm ripping through me with a force that felt like grief and relief and every emotion I'd been holding back all day tearing out of me at once.
A choked sound wrenched from my throat, her name breaking apart in my mouth as I buried my face in her neck, shaking.
It was the best orgasm of my life.
She followed a heartbeat later, her body clenching around me in rhythmic waves, squeezing every drop from my cock. A broken cry spilled from her throat as she came undone under me, our release mixing together where we were joined.
I collapsed on her, still buried inside, my weight carefully braced so I wouldn't crush her, but close enough that I could feel her body shaking beneath mine. Her fingers stroked through my hair with a soothing rhythm, grounding me, bringing me back.
For a few seconds, I couldn’t do anything but breathe her in.
“Good boy?” I said at last, a broken laugh following. I closed my arm firmly around her waist and raised my head to look at her. “You really know how to get inside my head… don’t you.”
A knowing smile touched her lips.
“Léa… that destroyed me.”
Her hand cupped my cheek. “I'm aware,” she said softly. “You always forget how to function when I touch your ego and your heart at the same time.”
The corner of my mouth twitched. It was the absolute truth, and she was the only one allowed near either of them.
I pulled her into a deep, slow kiss, then eased out of her carefully, both of us shuddering at the loss. I rolled onto my side and pulled her with me, tucking her in my chest. She crossed her leg over mine. My hand stayed on her hip, holding her tightly.
The room was quiet except for our breathing. After a while, my hand moved lower over the slight curve of her stomach.
“I love you,” I said, my palm brushing over her skin. “Both of you.”
Her hand covered mine immediately, threading our fingers. “We love you too.”
I lowered my mouth to her temple and stayed there for a long second.
“I mean it,” I said. “What you just did for me. Letting me come apart like that, and holding me through it.” I swallowed. “No one’s ever had that version of me.” And no one ever will. Only you.
She tipped her face up, her eyes never leaving mine. “I can tell.”
Her fingers traced over my jaw.
“I love when you let me in, Orion. I love that you trusted me with this.” She cradled my face more firmly, to make certain I heard every word. “You don’t have to carry all of it by yourself anymore. You can put some of that weight down when you're with me.”
I pulled her close and kissed her again, slower, pouring my entire heart into it. There was no doubt, I’ll always belong to this woman.
When I pulled back, my hand was still over her stomach.
“Our baby is going to know they’re loved,” I said. “Every day. They’ll never wonder where they stand.”
A softness came over her face that pushed all the way through me. My pulse stuttered in response.
“I know they will,” she whispered. “And that’s because they’ll have you.”
“And you too.” I said, pulling her in closer until there was no space left between us, both our hands resting over the life we’d made.
The grief was still there. It hadn’t gone anywhere. But lying there with her, holding her, I no longer thought it would crush me.
“Go to sleep,” she mouthed into my bare chest. “I’ve got you.”
