Chapter 4 Forced Compromise

I grabbed her wrist and pushed her away forcefully.

"I'm Linchen's fiancée. Why can't I live here?"

Zhou Qingyan staggered back two steps, then her eyes reddened.

She complained aggrievedly to Zhou Linchen.

"You haven't married her yet. How can she live at home? If word gets out, it will affect your reputation. Hurry and kick her out!"

Zhou Linchen's expression was complicated. He didn't agree immediately.

Three years ago, the day Grandpa went to the nursing home, I was left alone at home.

He worried and personally picked me up at midnight to the Zhou house.

He told me that from that day on, the Zhou house was my home. No one could drive me out.

His worry was so obvious back then.

It made me believe his words, so I agreed to move in.

Zhou Qingyan saw he didn't agree to drive me out.

She bit her lip, her eyes instantly reddening.

Extremely aggrieved, she complained.

"I don't want her living at home. If she doesn't move out, I'll live outside."

Zhou Linchen hurriedly grabbed her hand.

His tone carried obvious panic.

"No! You've just returned for two days. You're not familiar with outside. How can I let you live alone out there?"

He said and turned to look at me.

His eyes held some apology.

"Li Xia, Qingyan has been staying in a hotel these two days since returning. I want her to move back.

"Let her have her way. Move out temporarily for a while, okay?"
