Chapter 1 Telling My Parents
The Song family and the Shen family were old acquaintances. That was exactly why I had the engagement with Shen Huaizhi.
I drove back home. When I opened the door, I saw my dad keeping my mom company as she watched television. My mom still had a face mask on.
I pouted, looking unhappy.
"Hey, who made our little princess unhappy?" My dad saw my expression and could not help teasing.
My mom glanced at me and shot back at my dad, "I think it's probably because she did not get the upper hand somewhere. Otherwise, with our little princess's temper, who could make her unhappy?"
"Mom!" I sat down beside my mom. "It is not that I did not get the upper hand. It is all because of that Shen Huaizhi..."
I told them everything that had happened at the celebration banquet.
My parents' faces instantly turned very ugly.
"He's really gone too far!"
I chimed in, "Dad, Mom, you can know a person's face but not their heart. We are not even married yet, and he is already siding with a third party. If we get married, who knows what might happen? He might even plot against our family."
My parents looked at each other. I could see the anger in their eyes.
"Baby daughter, just wait. Tomorrow I will go find Old Shen and make him give you an explanation!"
"Dad, you must teach their family a good lesson. Let him know that Song Yue is not someone to be bullied!"
I spoke with righteous indignation.
"My baby daughter is right. You have to give their family a proper lesson," my mom kept nodding beside me. "Do they really think the Song family is easy to bully?!"
My dad agreed repeatedly. Then he immediately instructed his subordinates to deal with the Shen family.
I felt secretly pleased. Did Shen Huaizhi really think the Shen family was some invincible giant?
How ridiculous.
I took out my phone. Seeing that the time was still early, I said goodbye to my parents and drove straight to the bar.
The next day, sunlight slipped through the curtain gaps and shone on my face. I grumbled a few times, slightly dissatisfied.
But the light stayed there and would not go away.
My consciousness slowly returned. I sat up abruptly from the bed and looked at the clothes scattered all over the floor, along with the man lying beside me.
My head and waist throbbed faintly. I gradually realized what had happened.
I had slept with Gu Yehan, someone like an elder to me.
