Chapter 9 The Disobedient Cat
Morning light came through the gauze curtains. Sheng Yiyi yawned again and again, complaining to me.
"Can you two show a little restraint and think about the people next door!"
I was so embarrassed I didn't know where to put my hands, so I just looked down and stirred my coffee.
Feng Si rubbed his shoulder and strode over.
His black silk pajamas had slipped off one side, showing a bandage seeping blood.
Xu Zichen's hand paused as he poured coffee. "You're hurt?"
"A little cat bit me last night. A bloody hole the size of a fist. Hurt like hell."
As he spoke, he peeled off a piece of gauze and showed it to everyone.
"That vicious?! An animal that bites like that should be killed," Sheng Yiyi cried out, offering her suggestion.
"I got scratched a few years ago. Worse than this."
"Here. Right here."
He pointed at the faint scar at the end of his brow and looked at me with a teasing stare.
"Tsk. Just a bit of a temper. Still pretty fun. I'll keep it."
Xu Zichen, who had shown nothing at first, looked over at me as if he had suddenly remembered something. In his eyes was a guilt I couldn't read.
I kept my head down and said nothing.
Because the disobedient little cat in Feng Si's mouth was me...
Last night, to get back at him for secretly recording Video, I had bitten his shoulder hard, more than once.
As for that old scar from years ago, it was proof of my past of blood and tears...
