Chapter 9 The Disobedient Cat

Morning light came through the gauze curtains. Sheng Yiyi yawned again and again, complaining to me.

"Can you two show a little restraint and think about the people next door!"

I was so embarrassed I didn't know where to put my hands, so I just looked down and stirred my coffee.

Feng Si rubbed his shoulder and strode over.

His black silk pajamas had slipped off one side, showing a bandage seeping blood.

Xu Zichen's hand paused as he poured coffee. "You're hurt?"

"A little cat bit me last night. A bloody hole the size of a fist. Hurt like hell."

As he spoke, he peeled off a piece of gauze and showed it to everyone.

"That vicious?! An animal that bites like that should be killed," Sheng Yiyi cried out, offering her suggestion.

"I got scratched a few years ago. Worse than this."

"Here. Right here."

He pointed at the faint scar at the end of his brow and looked at me with a teasing stare.

"Tsk. Just a bit of a temper. Still pretty fun. I'll keep it."

Xu Zichen, who had shown nothing at first, looked over at me as if he had suddenly remembered something. In his eyes was a guilt I couldn't read.

I kept my head down and said nothing.

Because the disobedient little cat in Feng Si's mouth was me...

Last night, to get back at him for secretly recording Video, I had bitten his shoulder hard, more than once.
