Chapter 5 #2

Burying my elbows into the bed, I held on to the little bit of composure I had left, trying not to lose my mind, but how could I not. He demanded that I watch him, and I did, every so often trying to escape. But he held me in place, palmed like a fucking bowl.

My grip on the sheets tightened when he zeroed in on my sweet spot, going from licking rapidly to trying to suck it from between my legs.

I had to be granola or maybe even the yogurt under it already mixed with fruit.

It wasn’t long before an orgasm so violent rushed through me I could’ve sworn I heard what sounded like an ocean wave escape my body.

He didn’t lift his head once, but lapped up the mess, lick for lick, until he was finished. He still didn’t come up immediately, but instead began a trail of kisses up my body until he was hovering over my face.

“This is forever, Nic, and I mean that with everything in me. Ain’t no outs with us.

” He didn’t give me the chance to disagree or tell him this wasn’t what I wanted because his lips were against mine, swallowing anything I would’ve said.

I damn sure wouldn’t have said anything disagreeing with his words because at this very moment he could ask for anything and my answer would be yes.

He pulled back, his face hovering over mine out of breath before he began to speak. “Tell me you’re finally mine.”

I blinked several times, looking at him as he sat up on his knees and fully removed his shirt.

“That’s really how you feel?” I asked, watching him unbuckle his belt, then his pants.

“You know how I feel, Nic. Now tell me what I want to hear.”

With feverish, shuddering lips, I looked at him and nodded. “I’m yours, finally,” flowed from my lips like an oath.

He was back between my legs with another kiss, then his face lowered to my neck as I felt his large mass at my opening.

“Tell me that shit again,” he murmured into my neck.

“I’m—” I started, but my entire being short circuited

He rested his forehead against mine at the same time he fed himself into me. “Look at me, Nic.”

Our eyes linked, my lips slightly agape. Shit.

“Say it,” he demanded, pushing in further, my center throbbing with each advance.

“I’m yourssss—fuck,” I whined, closing my eyes so tightly I felt the tension in my temples. This moment couldn’t be real.

“Don’t run, open your eyes.” He paused, then thrust so far into me he had to pause again. “Look at me, Nic.”

It felt like forever before I finally opened my eyes, but when I did, he was staring so deep while he rocked into my core that I couldn’t focus. It felt like he was touching my soul, like he wanted me to feel his words.

I did… oh God I did.

I felt like everything was opening, like all of my senses had been heightened and one thing was very clear. I felt him everywhere.

“I’m cu—fuck I’m cumming,” I cried before his lips covered mine momentarily.

“Good girl.” His words lit a fire in me.

“Hmmm. Cum with me,” I begged, knowing damn well I couldn’t take another moment.

His forehead landed against mine again, every thrust unforgiving afterwards.

My legs seized uncontrollably around him, egging him to go harder and deeper.

And his thrusts became less coordinated as he too was on the verge.

We both came so hard we were out of breath, him still grinding into me in a slow, breathless rhythm.

I was wrecked. Regardless of all the shit I talked, I belonged to only him both physically and mentally, regardless of anything.

When I opened my eyes the next morning, the sun blasted through the thin curtains, jumping off everything in the bedroom. I wanted nothing more than to go back to sleep, but I couldn’t. One, my phone was ringing off the hook, and two, my internal clock let me know it was time to get up.

I reached for my ringing phone and looked at the screen. Of course, it was Paige calling. It was always Paige.

“You know, if a person doesn’t answer the first three hundred times, it means they’re sleeping, right?” I murmured, slipping from the bed.

“Bitch ,you’re a vampire. You don’t sleep. I mean… unless you got some dick. You haven’t gotten any of that in a wh— Wait, where are you? Your location is showing you’re in Bluffwood Heights.”

“If you have my location, why are you asking where I am? Better question, why the hell are you tracking me?”

“Because when you didn’t answer the first time, I started tracking to make sure you hadn’t been kidnapped. Now who liv—”

A knock had me looking in the direction of the doorway. Instead of Hondo standing there, it was a woman dressed in a full suit.

“Hello, Mrs. Carter. My name is Alysia. I’m your aide or any sort of help when needed while you’re here and in the city.

Almost like a home manager. Mr. Carter requested that I check on you when you wake and let you know that your mother-in-law awaits your presence.

I have your clothes here and breakfast ready for you in the kitchen when you’re ready. ”

I nodded, a little taken aback, because what the hell was a home manager? “Um, okay. Thank you.” I watched her lay shopping bags out before promptly exiting the room.

“Umm, earth to Patience. Who was that and where the hell are you?” Paige’s voice pulled me from the now closed door and back to the phone call as I moved toward the clothes.

“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”

“Try me, hoe.”

I laughed and explained my night to my sister, hearing her squeal with every moment until it sounded like she was damn near cheering on the other line. “That’s a good man, Savannah. That’s a good man,” She chanted while I cracked up laughing.

“I cannot stand you.” I pulled the clothes from the bag ,noting everything was my size. I was thrown for a loop because how did this man know my size when I wore a dress last night.

“Yeah, right. You love me. Now I have to figure out how I’m getting to your wedding without having to deal with your folks.”

“We’ll figure it out, even if I have to have you front and center via FaceTime.”

“Nope, I wanna be there. You’re my only sister and you’re getting married. You know I don’t claim your daddy’s son.”

I laughed. “Oh, I know. Anyways, I’ll call you soon. Let me get myself together and go eat. I have a whole wedding to plan and I gotta find some secret doorways to get your ass here.”

She laughed. “Bye, heffa.”

As soon as we hung up, my phone rang. I thought it was her calling back, but to my shock, it was Hondo.

“I definitely didn’t expect to wake up in bed alone.”

He chuckled. “You should have. Had I stayed in that bed with you, I wouldn’t be getting any work done and my mother would be cursing mine and your names.”

I laughed lightly, moving toward the master bathroom. “She's probably cursing mine right now. Why didn’t you tell me I was seeing her this morning?”

He laughed more, which made me smile. Hearing and seeing him laugh was strange because he had this natural mug.

“Yo, you're fine. When you get there is when you get there. I told her we had a late night.”

My hand went to my mouth at the thought of our night. “You didn’t.”

“I gotta handle something, baby girl. Get dressed, eat, and get over there. I’ll see you tonight. Shawn will bring you back to the house when you're done.”

“And what if I had plans in the city, which I do.” I thought about the fact that I needed to run by the sanctuary and see Zar.

“Handle that and see me tonight.”

“Okay.”

As soon as we hung up I turned on the shower and went back to the room.

Once I had all I needed, I took a shower and got dressed.

The entire time I prepared for my day, I thought about last night.

I didn’t know what I expected, but the way he handled me was not it at all.

It was like all he didn’t say came out through his actions…

Shit he poured out… over and over again.

I dressed simply for the day, a white button up and a pair of light jeans.

After the wedding duties with Mrs. Carter, I planned to go to the city for my visit with Zar.

Even though I was forced to be off, I refused to mess up my routine with Zar.

He was still a cub and needed his routine to stay the same.

Though my whole life was changing, there were some things I aimed to keep.

“You do know this is your wedding, dear. I’m just helping you source things,” Mrs. Carter said. I had been here for several hours and she absolutely hated it when I called her Mrs. Carter. It was all by mistake though, my attempt at being polite with manners.

I smiled and nodded before reaching for the tea she’d made for the day. “Yes, I know. This is just all so new to and for me. Plus, you have good ideas and you’ve done this before, so I trust your eyes.”

She returned a smile in my direction. “Just let me know if I’m taking over. I will step back.”

“No, you’re doing what I know my mother would have done, so I am so grateful for everything you’re doing.”

She reached out and touched my shoulder.

“Anytime, sweetheart. So now that we’ve agreed this wedding will take place in the ballroom at dusk.

We’ll have the perfect amount of lights to make it pop.

Now, my favorite part of every wedding. We must discuss your dress.

You have a beautiful shape, so what were you thinking? ”

“Um something chic, but elegant. A lace mermaid silhouette with sleeves.”

“A mermaid would complement you perfectly. I have a few dressmakers in my book, so let me go get that and you sit here and go through this book of flowers. Those, I am not choosing for you.” She was on her feet seconds later, extending the book of flowers toward me.
