The Irish Lake House

By Colleen Coleman

Chapter 1

*

In a forest glade, where the sun shone bright,

Mr Hedgehog and Red Fox chatted with delight.

‘Change is the key, my foxy friend,

Don’t fight the old, let the new trends blend.’

‘Oh, Hedgehog, what do you mean?

Embrace the change, like a dance routine?’

‘Exactly, Red Fox! It’s a chance to grow

Like a rushing river with a brand-new flow.

Let’s leave behind what no longer fits

And build something better, with exciting bits.’

Together they nodded, with new hope in their eyes

Ready for adventure, under ever-changing skies.
