13. Something About You #2

I sat up slightly to lick and tease her nipples from underneath, sucking them into my mouth, while my hands gripped her ass, guiding her rhythm. Her moans filled the room, head falling back in pleasure.

“Ssssss. Mehki. Oooouuuu. This dick so good.”

The heat built until I eased her onto the plush carpet, turning her onto her stomach.

I took my time once more, trailing warm kisses down her spine.

I kissed the dimples at her lower back, both round cheeks of her ass, her shoulders, and the nape of her neck.

My fingertips danced lightly over her skin, tantalizing every nerve, until she pushed back against me, whimpering my name.

“Mehki… pleaseeee.”

It was music to my ears as I slid into her tight wetness from the back, going deep, her body flat beneath mine. The angle felt intimate and possessive. I stroked her slow and steady, chest pressed to her back, whispering in her ear.

“Damn, this pussy good, Key. Mmmm, this shit so perfect.” I slipped my warm, wet tongue in her ear, slapped her ass and gripped it, and her walls fluttered tighter around me.

We moved together, pleasure coiling hotter. Her breaths turned to sharp gasps, body trembling on the edge.

“Cum wit’ me, baby.” I breathed against her ear as I sped up my thrusts, feeling the sensation building.

“Oooohhh, shiiitttt,” she cried out as her orgasm pulsed around my dick in waves, and I thrust deep one final time, spilling inside her with a soul-deep groan. Thick, warm cum filled her walls as we reached our peak together.

WAITTTTT. PAUSE IT. THIS MOMENT RIGHT HERE CALLS FOR A SONG SELECTION. ALEXA, PLAY LEAVE IT IN BY ZAE FRANCE. THANK ME LATER, FINE SHII.

I rested on her back, careful not to put all my weight on her. “Goddamn, fine ass girl.”

“I know,” she replied in a muffled voice.

“Can I ask you a personal question?”

Key lifted her head from my shoulder where she lay in my arms with her back facing me after we’d come down off our sex high. “Considering the fact that you’re now familiar with my insides, I don’t think there’s a such thing as a personal question.” She grinned, and I ran my hand down her arm.

“What’s stopping you from committing yourself to someone?”

“I feel like I answered this back at the diner when we had breakfast.”

“Nah. I asked if you were single at the diner. Now, I’m asking what’s stopping you from commitment.”

She paused. I went quiet to give her a moment to process the difference in the questions.

“I’m scared to give myself to the wrong person,” she admitted. “The thought of wasting my time scares me.”

Her answer was one that I hadn’t heard before. I wanted her to expound on it, but I didn’t want to push. It must’ve been something she needed to get off her chest because she continued talking before I could pose another question.

“I grew up seeing deep, unconditional love between my parents, like my mother and father are best friends. Seeing them go through the phases of love for twenty plus years only for my father to get diagnosed with a disease that ultimately robs him of those memories makes me scared of choosing wrong. Scared of choosing less than what I know I deserve. So, it’s not committing that’s the hard part; it’s the finding someone worth committing to. ”

“Mind if I ask about the disease your father has?”

“Alzheimer’s,” she answered. “Diagnosed two years ago.”

“Damn,” I muttered.

“I appreciate your sentiment, but please don’t do that. He’s not dying.”

“My bad.”

“All good. Can I ask you a question?”

“Yeah.”

“Are you scared of commitment?”

“Not at all.”

“Then why polyamory?”

Having had this conversation with myself in the past, I gave her an honest answer. “I never saw me getting everything I want out of one woman to be satisfied.”

“Hmmm… your wants is one thing, but have you considered everything you need?”

The room went silent as I soaked in her words. It was the first time someone had challenged my outlook on my lifestyle without judging it. Kyiris wasn’t saying poly was wrong; she was merely giving me another perspective.

I opened my mouth to answer her question then realized I didn’t have one.

“You know what’s wild? No one’s ever asked me that before. I always figured needs and wants go hand in hand.”

Key smiled then squinted. “Have you? Or have you just convinced yourself of that because they usually aren’t the same?”

I frowned, feeling like she was trying to trap me into somehow being wrong for my way of thinking.

“Fix your face.” She laughed softly. “Hear me out. I want to be in a relationship, but I need peace. I want a man that’s attractive and makes more money than me, but I need someone who’s emotionally safe. I guess the other question is, which do you value most, your wants or your needs?”

I went silent again because up until now, when it came to relationships, I thought I knew.

“You don’t have to answer that now,” she said. “There’s but so much life fixing I can do after coming down off an orgasm.”

Her laughter lightened the mood at the right time. This shit was getting deep.

“Matter fact,” she sat up straight, “I’m gonna head home before I get too comfortable. Next thing I know, we in here hunching again, and I’m in the kitchen cooking you breakfast in the morning. No, sir, you won’t get me.”

I stood first and helped her to her feet. Although I didn’t mind her staying the night, I wanted it to be her decision. I stepped back into my boxers and pajama pants, while she redressed. Grabbing her purse from the couch, she looked around the living room.

“You got good taste,” she complimented.

“And you taste good,” I said, holding out my hand to walk her to the door.

“That was a good comeback.”

I walked her out to her car and held the door open, while she climbed inside.

“Drive safe.”

“You too,” she replied, and we both laughed. “You’re already home. Boy, what kinda dick you put on me?”

“Maannn, go head.” I closed her door and took a step back as she started the car up. “Let me know when you make it in.”

“Will do. Goodnight.”

“Night, fine ass girl.”

I waited until her headlights disappeared before heading back inside. I’d spent years believing my wants were my needs. Now, for the first time, I had to rethink what that looked like for my future.
