Isabella — POV

Six months later.

The wedding was everywhere.

Every magazine. Every social media page. Every gossip column in the city.

“Billionaire Alexander Kingsley Marries Again in Lavish Ceremony.”

Apparently when one of the most powerful men in the country throws a wedding, people notice.

And Alexander didn’t do anything halfway.

The ceremony took place at a private estate overlooking the ocean. White flowers lined the aisle for what felt like miles, soft music drifted through the gardens, and lights sparkled everywhere like tiny stars.

It was beautiful.

But the most important moment had nothing to do with the decorations or the cameras.

It was the look on my mother’s face when she saw me in my wedding dress.

She cried immediately.

“Finally,” she whispered while fixing my veil, “I get to see my daughter as a bride.”

Alexander’s mother cried too.

The two of them had become inseparable over the last few months, like somehow the chaos of our lives had turned them into best friends.

They planned half the wedding together.

And judging by the way they kept whispering and laughing throughout the ceremony, I was starting to suspect they enjoyed the planning even more than the wedding itself.

When Alexander saw me walking down the aisle, he didn’t even try to hide the way his entire expression changed.

That powerful, intimidating man who made entire rooms go silent with one look?

Gone.

In his place was the man who looked like I had just handed him the entire world.

Later that night, when the last guests had left and the lights were fading over the garden, he pulled me into his arms and whispered against my ear,

“Worth doing twice.”

---------

Tonight, months later, we were all gathered again.

Family dinner.

Our house had become the place everyone somehow ended up on weekends.

The long dining table was filled with noise and laughter.

Alexander’s mother sat beside mine, the two of them deep in conversation like lifelong friends.

Across the table sat James and Sarah.

Those two had spent months dancing around each other.

Teasing.

Arguing.

Pretending they didn’t care.

Until one night Sarah finally admitted the truth.

“I like you,” she had told him bluntly.

“More than just… occasional fun.”

James had nearly fallen out of his chair.

Now they were practically inseparable.

Across the table, Alexander’s sister Ava was showing Sarah photos from her latest modeling job in Paris.

Ava traveled constantly now, working around the world as a rising supermodel, but whenever she came back to the city she always ended up here.

With us.

With family.

Alexander sat beside me, one arm resting across the back of my chair the way he always did now.

Possessive.

Protective.

Comforting.

Dinner was loud.

Chaotic.

Perfect.

And finally, Alexander cleared his throat.

“Alright.”

Everyone looked up.

“I think Isabella has something to tell you.”

I froze.

“Alexander—”

Too late.

Every pair of eyes turned toward me.

Sarah leaned forward immediately.

“Wait.”

Her eyes widened.

“WAIT.”

James looked between us suspiciously.

“What did you two do now?”

Alexander’s hand slid gently over mine under the table.

I took a breath.

And smiled.

“I’m pregnant.”

For a second— the entire room went completely silent.

Then chaos exploded.

My mother gasped so loudly she nearly knocked over her glass. Alexander’s mother burst into tears immediately, covering her mouth with one hand as she laughed and cried at the same time.

Sarah let out a high-pitched shriek and jumped up from her chair, rushing around the table to wrap me in a tight hug.

Ava clapped her hands excitedly, practically bouncing in her seat.

And James?

James slammed both hands dramatically on the table.

Everyone was talking at once, laughing, congratulating us, asking questions. The room filled with excitement so fast it felt like the air itself was buzzing.

Then James pointed across the table at Alexander.

“Don’t think I forgot the promise you made.”

Alexander sighed slowly.

“What promise?”

James leaned back in his chair like a man about to win an argument.

“You said if you ever had a kid, the first one gets named after me.”

Sarah rolled her eyes immediately.

“Oh please. You’re not serious.”

James crossed his arms proudly.

“Very serious.”

Sarah looked at me like she expected me to shut the idea down instantly.

“You are not naming their baby James.”

James shrugged casually.

“James is a strong name.”

Alexander turned to look at me.

I looked back at him.

Then I smiled.

“We’ll keep the promise.”

James jumped up from his chair again, raising both hands in victory.

“Yes!”

Dinner continued with laughter, teasing, and way too many baby name suggestions.

Eventually everyone started drifting toward the living room.

My mother and Alexander’s mother were already planning nursery ideas.

Ava was showing Sarah photos again.

James was still arguing that his name should be used twice just to be safe.

And Alexander leaned closer to me.

His voice dropped low against my ear.

“Meet me upstairs in ten minutes.”

I raised an eyebrow.

“Why?”

His smile turned wicked.

“Because my pregnant wife is very distracting.”

I laughed quietly.

“And?”

“And I intend to remind you exactly how much I love you.”

He brushed a kiss against my temple before standing.

Then he added softly,

“Don’t take too long.”

And as I watched him walk away, I realized something that once would have terrified me.

My life with Alexander Kingsley was chaotic.

Dangerous.

Completely unpredictable.

But it was also full of laughter.

Family.

Love.

And now…

A future we had fought for.

And this time—

No one was taking it away from us.

The End.
