The Love His Ex Means to Ruin

Jaxon O'Connor keeps to himself in Brewster County, Texas, a rancher determined to stay away from women after a traumatic past.

Meeting Destiny Vaughn tests that vow. She is the new extension agent, vivid and professional, and their brief encounter leaves him unable to dismiss her.

She has a career to think about, yet the rugged cowboy will not leave her thoughts either.

Then her sister dies, and Destiny is charged with adopting the infant left behind.

Motherhood upends her plans, and looking for the baby's mysterious father only makes the upheaval harder.

Jaxon's dangerous former lover, Maria, returns at the same time, her obsession threatening the life he has begun with Destiny.

Drawn together despite those blows, they face the chance that old fear and Maria's fixation will tear apart the love they are only just starting to build.
