An unexpected invite
Author's pov-
The weight of purv's words stayed with divya longer than she wanted to admit. She didn't know why he was so fixated on Aryan or why his warnings made her stomach twist in unease. But something in his voice had sounded... real. As if he knew something she didn't.
She shook her head, pushing the thoughts away. She wasn't going to let Purv dictate her life.
Later that evening, kaashi barged into library, excitement radiating off her.
"You won't believe what just happened!"
Divya raised an eyebrow. "Let me guess-you won free pizza for a year?"
Kaashi rolled her eyes. "I wish! No, Aryan just invited us to a party this weekend. And guess what? It's at his private farmhouse.
Kaashi hesitated. "I don't know, kaashi... I barely know him."
Kaashi sighed dramatically. "Come on, divya! College is about experiences. Plus, everyone will be there.
Divya chewed on her lip. Maybe she was overthinking things. Maybe purv's words had gotten into her head too much.
"Fine," she said finally. "We'll go."
Kaashi squealed in excitement.
Unbeknownst to them, someone had overheard their conversation.
Purv stood outside the corridor, his fingers clenching into fists.
She was going.
To his party.
Purv exhaled sharply, his mind running wild. He wasn't sure why he cared so much-he shouldn't care. But the thought of Aryan being near her, luring her into his world, made something inside him twist in a way he didn't like.
Rudra, who had been leaning against the wall beside him, smirked.
"You look pissed."
Purv shot him a glare.
Rudra chuckled. "You should just admit you're interested in her."
"I'm not," purv said coldly.
Rudra rolled his eyes. "Yeah, sure. That's why you're acting like a jealous boyfriend."
Purv didn't respond. Instead, he walked away.
Rudra shook his head. "This is gonna be fun to watch."
The weekend arriving quicker than expected.
Divya and kaashi arrived at Aryan's farmhouse, which was nothing short of luxurious. Fairy lights were draped across the garden, the pool shimmered under the moonlight, and loud music filled the air.
Divya had opted for black bodycon dress, her hair left in loose waves. She wasn't sure why she had put in extra effort tonight-maybe because, for once, she wanted to feel confident.
As soon as they entered, Aryan spotted them.
"You made it," he said, his signature smirk in place. His eyes roamed over Divya for a second too long.
Divya felt a little uncomfortable but brushed it off.
Kaashi leaned in and whispered, "He's definitely interested in you."
Before Divya could respond, a wave of murmurs spread through the crowd.
She turned-only to find purv stepping into the party, dressed in an all-black outfit, exuding the kind of presence that made people either admire him or fear him.
Their eyes met.
And in that moment, Divya knew-tonight wouldn't be just any other party.
It was the beginning of something far more complicated.
