Lost in the moment
Author's pov-
The air between them was electric, charged with something neither of them could name but both felt deep in their bones. Purv's thumb traced her cheek, his eyes locked onto hers, searching, questioning, wanting.
Divya's breath was unsteady, her fingers still gripping the collar of his shirt. She should have pulled away, should have say something - but she didn't. She couldn't.
Because for the first time in forever, she didn't feel alone.
Purv exhaled sharply, his forehead pressing against hers. "We should stop," he murmured.
"Then stop," she whispered back.
His hands tightened around her waist, but he didn't move away.
He wouldn't.
Because neither of them wanted to.

They didn't go back to the cafe. They didn't go home.
Instead, they ended up in purv's penthouse, the silence between them thick with unsaid words.
Divya stood by the window, watching the city lights flicker in the distance. Purv leaned against the door frame, watching her.
She could feel his gaze, the weight of it, the intensity.
Slowly, she turned around.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked softly.
Purv didn't answer right away. Then, in a voice so low it sent shivers down her spine, he said, "Because I don't know how to stop."
Her heart pounded.
She took a step closer.
So did he.
And then-
His hands slid up her arms, his touch feather-light, hesitant, as if afraid she might disappear.
Divya swallowed. She wasn't sure who moved first, but suddenly, their lips were crashing together again-this time slower, deeper, filled with something neither of them could put into words.
His hands roamed up her back, pulling her closer, and she let him.
Somewhere between whispered breaths and stolen touches, her jacket slipped off. Then her top.
His shirt followed.
They weren't thinking anymore.
They weren't overanalyzing.
They were just feeling.
When purv laid her down on his bed, his fingers traced the outline of her face, his expression unreadable.
"This is dangerous," he murmured.
Divya's hand found his, squeezing gently. "Then let's be reckless."
His lips curved into the faintest smirk before he leaned down, capturing her mouth with his once more.
The world outside faded.
And for the first time in a long time, neither of them ran.
