A rivalry worth noticing
Author's pov-
Purv never underestimated his competition. It was a principle he had lived by since he stepped into the corporate world. But he never expected Divya to be one of them.
And he certainly never expected her to be this good.
She wasn't the naive girl he had left behind. She was sharp, confident, and making a name for herself in the finance industry- without anyone's help.
Rathore Enterprises rarely faced a real competition. But now, Divya sharma was proving to be a challenge.

The tension in the conference room was thick. Divya sat at the head of the table, poised, powerful, and completely unaffected by his presence.
Purv leaned back in his chair, studying her with an unreadable expression. "I didn't expect to see you here," he admitted. His voice was calm, but there was something beneath it-something unsettled.
Divya offered a polite, professional smile. "Buisness is full of surprises, Mr.Rathore."
She didn't hesitate, she didn't falter. Instead, she owned the room, speaking with the kind of confidence that left no room for doubt.
As she laid out her proposal, explaining the financial projections and investment strategies, purv found himself doing something he hadn't done in a long time.
Listening.
Not because he had to, but because she was commanding attention. Every word, every calculated move-it was flawless.
When she finished, the room was silent. Even his board members exchanged glances, impressed.
Purv folded his hands together. "You've built quite a reputation for yourself."
Divya met his gaze without hesitation. "I worked for it."
Something about the way she said it made his jaw clench. She had built herself from the ground up, without him.
The meeting ended, and as the executives filed out, purv stayed behind. Divya was gathering her documents when his voice broke the silence.
"You've changed."
She looked up, arching a brow. "That tends to happen when people stop waiting for things that were never meant for them."
A direct hit. No hesitation. No trace of the girl who once looked at him like he was her whole world.
Purv didn't react, but something tightened in his chest.
Before he could say another word, she was gone.
And for the first time in a long time, purv felt the loss.

That night, as he poured himself a drink in his penthouse, purv couldn't shake the irritation brewing inside him.
Divya had walked into his world not as the reminder of the past, but as a force strong enough to challenge him.
And that... that did something to him.
Would he let her win? No.
But could he ignore her?
Not anymore.
