Chapter 6 #2

“That’s—” Elm’s sentence died on a moan, but again, one not meant for Koah. A new smell had just drifted toward him, one that smelled like ecstasy. White lotus and frost maybe.

Levi entered and just as Elm’s eyes caught him over Koah’s shoulders, the dominant alpha attacked, pheromones cutting across the air like steel blades.

Koah cursed and darted away, spinning on his heels to growl.

Elm hissed as well, dropping to his knees, a slight burning sensation skittering across his skin momentarily before the approaching alpha switched to targeted soothing pheromones that eased the sting.

“Good little soldiers know where they aren’t supposed to be,” Levi stated as he entered the cage. He didn’t glare, but there was an obvious glimmer of anger in his gray eyes when he set them on Koah. He spun on his heels, blocking Elm in the process, as though wanting to separate the two of them.

“Whoa,” Koah held up his hands in surrender. “Fiora told me to come. She said we needed to adjust—”

“No one goes near him but me,” Levi cut him off. “Tell your sister.”

Koah looked like he wanted to argue, but then shook his head. “Whatever. I’ll leave you to it.” He bowed respectfully but then left without so much as a word to Elm.

Neither of them had bothered closing the cage door.

Levi turned and caught Elm staring at it. “Going to make a try for it?”

Elm was desperate to get home.

But not that desperate.

“No,” he licked his lips, “you seem like you’re already in a bad mood.”

“Smart.” Levi walked up to the edge of the mattress and then crouched in front of him. “What’s wrong with you?”

“I don’t know,” he admitted. “It feels like heat. But that’s…I shouldn’t…right?”

“If you were a born omega that would be correct, but the research I’ve been reading up on states the change can take upwards to a year. During that time, the heats will come frequently, but sporadically.”

“Fantastic.” He closed his eyes when a tear slipped past his defenses, but he immediately opened them again when the alpha stood. “Where are you going?”

“To prepare.”

“For what?” Elm growled before he could answer, figuring it out on his own. “Absolutely not. You are not putting anything up my ass again.”

Levi’s pheromones turned threatening, just enough to cause discomfort, and Elm clenched his teeth. “When you’re in heat, your body will crave a knot. Sex is the best way to balance pheromones. You’ll get better a lot faster.”

That was probably true. The dildos could provide the knot, and Levi could provide the alpha pheromones, and together, it would simulate real sex enough to trick Elm’s body into buying it.

But that didn’t mean he wanted it.

“I’m not some thing for you to play with,” he insisted.

Levi stared him down for a long while and then surprised him by saying, “All right.”

“Really?” Elm watched him warily, but even then, he wasn’t prepared for what the alpha did next.

Pheromones hit him hard enough to cause him to stutter, and in the next instant, the alpha was pulling his arm up and locking his wrist into one of the manacles that dangled from the wall. He did the same to the other, effectively trapping Elm sitting on the mattress with his back against the wall.

“Hey!” Elm struggled when Levi grabbed onto his pants and tore them off, humiliated and hissing for good measure, even when soothing pheromones came at him again to try and ease the embarrassment. “What the hell?!”

“You’ll thank me later.” Levi folded them and set them on the metal table that was currently wheeled off to the side, then he exited the cage, shut the door, and unbuttoned his jacket.

Elm frowned when he settled comfortably into the high back chair and pulled a cigarette case from the inner pocket of his suit jacket. “What are you doing?”

“Lessons can only go so far,” Levi said cryptically.

“I can teach you to be more obedient, but damaging something valuable in the process would be a mistake. The chances of you making it through this with your sanity without a knot are about fifty-fifty, but without an alpha’s pheromones?

” He stuck a cigarette into his mouth and lit it. “Ten percent at best.”

He was saying he was going to stick around and flood Elm with his intoxicating pheromones, but that he’d honor his wishes and not force anything inside of him?

“I don’t get it,” Elm admitted.

“You have a big brother.” He took a drag. “Surely he’s taught you something over the years.”

Elm thought back on his words.

Oh.

“You think making me go without a knot this time will make me beg you for it my next heat.” He should feel insulted, but the fact of the matter was, he was already starting to lose confidence.

The Leviathan didn’t strike him as the type of person who gambled unless he knew he was very likely to win, and he obviously knew more about heats and ruts than Elm did.

“I don’t think,” he corrected, seemingly reading Elm’s mind. “I know.”

The cramps hit hard then, cutting off anything Elm may have responded with. He caught sight of the alpha’s wicked grin a second before tears filled his eyes and a glob of slick leaked from between his cheeks to stain the already disgusting mattress.

* * *

Why wasn’t it working?

Elm could no longer think in words or sentences, there was just need and instinct and a red haze that wouldn’t go away. He stared across the room, pleading with beautiful gray eyes, widening his thighs as much as he could, spreading in an attempt to attract the alpha.

He had no clue how long he’d been at it, desperately trying everything he could think of to lure the man closer, to give him what he needed.

His dick was erect, bright red from being hard for so long, and his body produced enough slick to soak the entire spot he was seated on.

The smell alone should have been enough to have the alpha panting for him, and yet…

The man on the other side of the bars popped a piece of gum into his mouth, and then lit himself another cigarette. It was dark in the room, but his face was illuminated by the glow of the flame, his eyes never leaving Elm’s.

He wasn’t pleased, Elm could tell, but he couldn’t recall why.

The soothing pheromones kept coming, but only enough to take the edge off, not enough to even try quelling the lust raging through him.

It wasn’t soothing ones he wanted anyway.

Elm wanted attraction pheromones, wanted the alpha to answer in kind, bathe him in that heady scent, and then come over here and mount him.

“Please,” he somehow found the word amidst the clutter in his head, knew it was the right one when the alpha took a slightly longer drag from his cigarette. “Please.”

“You told me no,” the alpha said almost absently.

Had he?

He hadn’t meant it!

Elm’s lower region was on fire, the empty feeling inside of him aching.

His muscles kept clamping around nothing, the spasms painful and uncontrollable, and his balls were so full, he thought they were going to burst if he didn’t empty them.

It wasn’t just down there either. His nipples were sore, standing at attention on his chest as though trying to draw the alpha to them as well.

Every single part of himself had whittled down to that.

To desperately trying to seduce the alpha.

“Please.” Elm couldn’t think of anything else, no matter how hard he tried. His hips lifted, thrusting at air, and he sobbed.

“You have to learn,” the alpha said. “You won’t find relief from someone else. You’ll never know the feel of my general’s cock.”

At the word cock, Elm’s dick gushed and he cried out.

“You’ll get what I want to give, and nothing more than that. Forget how you lived in the past. Who you were. I’m in control here, omega. Next time, you’ll think twice before refusing to submit.”

The alpha put out his cigarette and lit another, clearly done talking.

He didn’t engage again for the rest of the night, not even when Elm screamed or begged.

The Leviathan merely sat there and watched, as though he had all the time in the world, and not a single problem to solve.
