The rain was merciless.
Cold. Heavy. Soaking both of them from head to toe . Aarav strode into the lobby of the luxurious Oberoi Crown Hotel. His father has some share in this hotel .
So they don't ask them too many questions.Meera followed behind him, hugging herself, confused and scared.
She didn't want to come. She didn't understand why he dragged her here. But Aarav didn't listen. He never listened her
The receptionist straightened when she recognized him."Good evening, Mr. Oberoi."
Aarav nodded curtly. "I want two rooms,"
Meera's eyes widened. Two rooms? Then why bring her here at all?Aarav didn't even look at her. He walked straight to the reception desk.Meera jerked her head up.
"Sir, of course . Just a moment.." the receptionist said politely.
"W..wait..." Meera whispered, stepping forward.
"Aarav, I don't... I don't want to stay here.."
Aarav turned his head slightly.
"Meera," he warned.
"I don't want this. Take me anywhere else, please... I..." she whispered louder, voice breaking.
Aarav's jaw clenched. He leaned down, whispering sharply into her ear"Just . Shut up."
The receptionist pretended not to hear.Meera swallowed hard hurt .
"But I"
"Do. Not. Test. Me."His voice dropped, sharp and cold.
A second later, the receptionist placed two card keys on the counter.
"Here are your keys, Mr. Oberoi."
Aarav picked up the keys and walked away toward the elevators, but Meera didn't move. Not a step. Her feet felt glued to the marble floor.Aarav turned back.
"Meera . If you don't come right now..." he said slowly, dangerously.
He stepped closer.
"If you don't walk right now, I swear I will pick you up in my arms and take you upstairs in front of every single person in this hotel." He said.
Her breath hitched.He wasn't joking.
She swallowed hard, cheeks burning as a couple in the lobby glanced at them curiously.
The elevator doors opened, and Meera stepped inside, her heart beating wildly.
Aarav stood beside her, the rainwater dripping down his jaw, making him look even more unbearable, even more intoxicating also handsome.
The elevator dinged.Aarav stopped in front of Room 1407, slid a key, and pushed the door open.
"Inside."
Meera blinked.
"What...? This... this is one room."
Aarav shrugged. "Yes. Obviously."
"But you... you asked for two rooms!"
"Hmm." His lips curved into a wicked smile.
"Because I don't want people to know we're staying together." He said and She stared at him, horrified.
"T..Then why are we staying together? Aarav, this is wrong.." she asked him.
"Because...I want you with me tonight. Before I leave for abroad in the morning." His voice dropped to a husky whisper.
Meera's world stopped.
Her lips trembled. "W..What? Aarav... how can we? We're a boy and girl... alone... in one room. It's not right."
Aarav grabbed her wrist and slammed her gently but firmly against the wall. His breath fanned her cheek. His eyes burned into hers.
"Tum mujhe pagal bana dogi, Meera."
("You are making me crazy, Meera")Her heart almost stopped.
"You think I'm asking you? No. I'm telling you. You are staying. With. Me." Aarav growled softly.
"Then why did you take two rooms? Why?" she shouted back, surprising even herself.
Aarav's smirk widened. He loved this. Her anger. Her fighting back. Her flushed cheeks.
"Maza aa raha tha,"
("I was enjoying it ")he whispered. "Seeing you angry... ... scared... and..."
She shook her head desperately.
"Aarav, please... this isn't right... we can't stay in one room.. I'm a girl and you're a boy"
Aarav's smirk deepened.
"Exactly," he whispered. "Isn't it more fun?"
Meera's cheeks flushed. Her heart pounded and her face heated. "You're impossible!"
She tried snatching the extra key from his hand, but he quickly lifted it high above her head.
"Aarav! Give it!" she demanded.
He leaned closer, teasing her. "You want it that badly?"
She tried to grab the second key in his hand but Aarav lifted it high, far above her reach.
"Jump for it," he said softly. "Let me see how badly you want it."
"Aarav! Give it!"
"Take it," he taunted.
She stretched, stood on her toes, tried to snatch it.Aarav only raised his arm higher. Her wet hair stuck to her cheeks as she struggled. He laughed quietly.
"You look cute when you're angry."
Meera glared at him."STOP playing with me!"
She pushed him.Hard.Aarav's eyes burned with a dangerous mix of amusement and desire.
"Oh? My little kitten has claws tonight?"
She reached again but he caught her hand mid..air.Her breath stopped.
Aarav pulled her inside the room and locked the door behind her.Meera's heart dropped to her stomach.
"A..Aarav... no... please open the door... I've never stayed in a room with a boy before... this isn't right..."
He stepped closer. His voice dropped to a deadly whisper.
"A..Aarav... please... listen to me," she whispered, backing up.Aarav stepped toward her slowly. One step. Then another.
"And why are you scared?" he asked softly, mocking. "I'm your love, right?"
"T..That's not the point... I..I'm a girl... you're a boy... this isn't right..."
Aarav's eyes darkened more.
"Oh sweetheart . then it's even more fun." he murmured.
Meera's breath hitched and her legs back hit the edge of the bed. She sit on the bed.
Aarav kept coming closer.
Their clothes were still dripping wet from the rain, leaving small puddles on the carpet.
"A..Aarav... stop," she whispered, voice trembling.
"Say one more time you don't want to stay with me," he whispered.Brushing a strand of wet hair off her cheek, "and I'll do something you definitely won't like."
Meera squeezed her eyes shut. Not out of fear but out of the intensity he created around her.Aarav stared at her closed eyes...
Then smirked. He loved her like this.
Scared.Flustered.But safe with him.
He grabbed a soft white towel from the bed and suddenly tossed it onto her face.Meera squeaked in surprise.Aarav chuckled.
"Go take a shower," he said casually, walking toward the wardrobe. "I'll arrange clothes."
Meera clutched the towel, her cheeks burning with embarrassment. She whispered softly, "Aarav... please don't do anything stupid..."
He turned to her, eyes glowing."No promises."
Her heart skipped a beat. Then she go to the bathroom.
Steam curled softly from the bathroom as Meera stepped out, wrapped in the fluffy hotel towel. Her hair still dripped down her shoulders. She looked around.
The room was quiet.Aarav wasn't there. When she looked toward the bed, she froze.
There were freshly folded clothes placed neatly on the blanket . a soft peach kurti, a matching pajama, and a white dupatta.
Meera's eyes widened.Aarav kept these for me...?
Her fingers hesitantly touched the fabric. It was warm... like he had held it for a while. She swallowed slowly. Maybe... maybe he actually cares? Maybe he...
Her cheeks turned red at the thought.
She quickly wore the clothes, feeling shy at how well he had chosen her size. Almost too perfectly.
She sat in front of the mirror, towel drying her damp hair. Her reflection looked small, vulnerable... but something about her eyes looked stronger than before.
Then suddenly
The drunk man's face flashed in her mind. The way his hand covered her mouth. His disgusting breath. His grip tightening.
Meera's fingers trembled, the towel slipping from her hands. Her chest tightened. Her breathing became fast... uneven.
"No... no..." she whispered, pressing her palm against her forehead. "Why can't I forget it...?"
Her heartbeat raced until the room door opened again.Meera turned.Aarav walked out.
Shirtless.Wet droplets rolling down his chest, his hair dripping, a white towel wrapped around his neck loosely.
Her eyes widened for a second. Then she quickly jerked her head away. Why does he have to look like that! Too hot?
Aarav raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly when he saw her flustered expression.
"What?" he asked casually. "Why are you sitting like that? Your face is red."
Meera bit her lip, refusing to look at him.
"Nothing," she muttered. "Just... drying my hair."
Aarav stepped closer, his presence warm... too warm. "Hmm? Sure?"
"Y..yes! And can you wear a shirt!?"
Aarav smirked, amused. "Why? Getting distracted?"
She glared at the mirror instead of him. "You're disgusting."
Suddenly...
KNOCK. KNOCK.
Both of them froze.Aarav straightened. Meera's eyes went wide, panic flooding her face.
"A...Aarav... who is that?" she whispered, coming closer to him on instinct. He wrapped one arm lightly around her shoulders, steadying her.
"Relax," he whispered calmly. "Don't panic."
"A..Aarav... what if someone saw us come together? What if what if it's your father's hotel staff? What if"
He grabbed her wrist gently, steadying her.
"Stop trembling. No one will see you when I'm here." he whispered.
Another knock.Harder.
Meera clutched his arm tightly, her voice shaking.
"Aarav... what do we do?"
He cupped her cheek.
"Go hide."
"W..what?"
"Now, Meera. Hide behind the curtains or wardrobe. Don't come out."
She nodded quickly, heart thumping, and rushed behind the long velvet curtain.Aarav walked to the door and opened it slightly.
A hotel staff stood there politely with a tray of neatly folded clothes.
"Sir, your clothes," he said with a polite smile. "Since yours were wet, we arranged some dry ones for you."
Aarav nodded stiffly. "Thanks."
He shut the door and locked it.Meera peeked from her hiding place. The staff had been... handsome.Sharp jawline, fair skin, kind eyes.
Meera slowly walked toward him, pretending innocence.
"Aarav... those clothes are for you?"
"Yes," he said flatly.
Meera took the clothes from his hand soft cotton, perfectly folded.Right when she touched them, she suddenly got an idea.
Aarav made her angry for hours... he teased her, intimidated her, ignored her protests, and forced her to stay. So why not annoy him back? She looked at him with wide innocent eyes.
"Aarav... that staff... he was handsome, right?"
Aarav froze.
"What?"
"I mean... he looked very good. Maybe... maybe I'll ask for his number tomorrow morning."
Aarav's eyes widened slowly.
Meera continued sweetly, "And you know... I like mature boys. Older than me. Not same age childish boys like you."
"You.." he stepped toward her.Aarav's face changed instantly.
Meera smirked a little, enjoying it. "What? Did I lie? He looked very decent. And older. And.."
"STOP."
"Aarav.."
"You want another boy's number?" his voice dropped dangerously low.
Meera shrugged casually, loving the anger burning in his eyes.
"He's older. Mature. I like older guys. Not boys of my same age who behave like maniacs."Aarav's eyes darkened with pure jealousy.
"Meera."
"Yes?" she asked sweetly.
"Stop. Talking."He grabbed her wrist hard.
She smirked, leaning in closer.
"Why? Are you jealous....Mr. Oberoi?"
Aarav lost it.
He shoved her back against the mirror."Do you think I'll tolerate you drooling over some hotel staff?"
she retorted, lifting her chin. "You do whatever you want. I'm allowed to talk to whoever I want."
Aarav's eyes darkened to pure jealousy.
"Look at yourself," he growled. "You think any guy would want a girl like you?"
Meera froze. He grabbed her face and twisted her one arm into her back ,forcing her to look in the mirror."Look at yourself."
"Aarav, leave me. You're hurting me."
He ignored her.
"You really think any man will want a girl who cries every two minutes? Who can't even defend herself-"
Aarav didn't stop.
"You think just because I care for you, I love you?"
Her eyes filled instantly.
"A..Aarav... why are you saying this...?"
He leaned closer, cruel heat in his voice.
"Don't forget maybe this is your first time staying in a room with a boy... but it's not mine."
Tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably.
Not his first time?He has stayed with... another girl?In a room? Alone? Then why drag HER here? Why pretend he cared?
She free herself with force and hit his chest hard , again and again, even though it didn't hurt him at all.
"Y..You're horrible! You're heartless!" she cried. "How can you say that!? After everything tonight!? After saving me after making me trust you.How can you.."
He grabbed both her wrists and forced her to face the mirror.
"LOOK," he snapped.
Meera's tears streamed silently down her cheeks. His hand grabbed her cheek.
"You think you can talk about other boys?" he hissed. "You think you can tease me?"
She glared back through tears.
"For once... for once I want you to listen when I talk! Not play with me! Not scare me! Not insult me!"
she shouted back. "I'm not your toy!"
Aarav was stunned for a second. Then
a slow, dark smile spread across his lips.Meera face him.
"You're fighting back today," he whispered. "I like that."Meera's heartbreak turned to anger.
"You don't 'like' anything," she spat. "You just enjoy seeing me break. You enjoy hurting me. You enjoy seeing me scared."
Aarav's eyes glittered.Meera shoved him hard.
"You know what?" she breathed shakily. "If you can stay with whatever girl you want then I can stay with any boy I want."
The words slipped out like fire.Aarav froze. Her words hit him like a dagger.
"You. Said. WHAT?"
Meera gasped, her breath knocked out.
"Say that again," he growled, stalking toward her, eyes burning with possessive rage. "Say it again and I swear..."
She glared at him through tears.
"You heard me."
That was it.His eyes turned wild.He grabbed her hair in a swift, furious motion.
"Aarav!.."
He pulled her, threw her onto the bed.
She bounced against the bed with a gasp.Aarav's breath came heavy. He grabbed her dupatta.
"No.. Aarav.. stop!" she cried, trying to hold it.But he yanked it away.
He pinned her wrists above her head, leaned down.
"Aarav! Stop !"
"No."
She tried to fight, pushing at his shoulders, but he captured her face in his hands.
"You want other men?" he growled. "You want someone else touching you? Looking at you?"
She trembled, breathing uneven.
"Aarav... please..."
"Say it."
"N..no..."
"Then shut up."
And before she could protes.
His lips crashed onto hers.Angry. Hungry.
Meera struggled at first, fists pushing against his chest. But Aarav only kissed her harder and claiming, consuming, drowning her breath.
Slowly... her fists loosened. Her breathing softened. Her lips parted under his.Her body stopped resisting.
And she melted.Completely.Into his kiss and kiss back him first time.
