==================
Aarav couldn't move. For the first time in his life...He was speechless.
"But I'm tired.I'm so tired, Aarav.I don't want someone who only knows how to control me." Meera whispered painfully.
Her shoulders shook.
"Meera i don't control you."Aarav immediately frowned.
"Really?"Meera laughed bitterly.
The sarcasm in her voice was unmistakable....
"You don't even realize what are you doing it."Aarav clenched his fists.
"You don't know about Omkar. And what is he is doing with you. You are just an emotional fool..."He said .
"YES IAM An EMOTIONAL FOOl!! So what!!!But at least he doesn't make me feel trapped like you." She shouted on him.
More than Aarav wanted to admit.
His chest tightened painfully.
"Did you ever stop and think of it? just think why he's suddenly being nice to you after years of bullying you? Can tell me that!!" Aarav demanded sharply.
Meera folded her arms.
"If you are so smart, then tell me. Why is he suddenly nice to me?"Meera said and stepping closer to him
Aarav remained silent. He had never actually tried to find out the truth behind Omkar's behavior.
Meera noticed immediately.
A sad smile appeared on her face.
"Exactly.I don't know what Omkar wants.Maybe you're right. Maybe you're wrong."Meera said .
Aarav looked away.His become silence.
She swallowed hard. She looked directly into his eyes.
"But right now....when I'm with him, I don't feel scared. When I'm with you...I don't feel like protected..you scared me.. you always control me..." Meera said.
Aarav's entire body went rigid.
His hands curled into fists.
Meera whispered through tears.
A tear slipped slowly down her cheek.
And that it he can't take it anymore.
Aarav pushed her onto the bed and grabbed both of her hands.Completely forgetting that one of her hand was burned.
"Aarav, it hurts! Please let my hand go" Meera winced.
Aarav held it tightly anyway and leaned over her.
"I think you forgot how to speak to me. I came here to help you, and you are sitting here telling me how comfortable you are with a playboy who changes girls like clothes." He shouted on her.
Meera let out a dry laugh.
"I don't care about him, and I don't care about you. Now let me go." Meera also argued
Aarav's eyes immediately fell on Meera's swollen wrist.
The way she was unconsciously protecting it.
Without thinking, he loosened his grip and let her go.A flicker of guilt crossed his face.
Slowly, he left her and he sat down beside her on the edge of the bed.
His gaze wandered around the room.
Then he noticed something.
The broken phone lying on her study desk. The screen was shattered.
Pieces of it were scattered across the surface.
His eyes turning toward her, he asked quietly.
"Who did this to your phone? You are sad all day because of your phone?"His voice was low, but there was obvious anger and concern beneath it.
Meera immediately looked away.
Her fingers curled tightly against her palm.
"It does not matter. It is none of your business." Her voice sounded cold.
She was desperately trying to hide.
Aarav stared at her for several seconds.
His patience began slipping.
Slowly···
he stood up.His expression hardened.
"Was it Omkar?" he asked sharply, his eyes narrowing.
"He is the one who used to bully you. Did he do this to your phone and your hand?" Aarav asked again.
At the mention of Omkar's name again Meera looked back at him.
Her eyes flashed with irritation.
"No, it was not him." She folded her arms defensively.
"And you do not need to stick your nose into my business. My life does not concern you." She said while insults him.
The words hit Aarav harder than they should have. His frustration instantly surfaced. He grabbed her cheeks again.
"I am the one here dealing with you, and you are speaking to me like that?" he snapped, disbelief written all over his face.
"You should show some appreciation." He said while left her cheeks hardly.
Meera let out a bitter laugh. The kind that carried disappointment.
Slowly·····
she stood up from the bed and faced him directly.
"I never asked you to be here." Her eyes glistened slightly.
"You choose to interfere in everything I do, and then you blame me for it. I do not want your help or your presence." She said
For a moment, Aarav was speechless.
Then anger took over.
He grabbed her shoulder and get her closer to him..His eyes narrowed dangerously.
"You think I want to be here?" His voice rose.
"You are too stubborn, and you make everything more difficult than it needs to be." He shouted on her back. And he left her.
Meera immediately stepped closer too.Neither of them backed down.
Their faces were only inches apart.
"Then leave this room .Nobody is forcing you to stay in this room." Her voice shook slightly from emotion.
The tension between them became suffocating.Neither wanted to be the first to look away.
Meera suddenly turned as if she was done with the argument...
Aarav instinctively reached out.
He grabbed for her arm to stop her from walking away.
But the moment his fingers touched her..His hand a brushed against the burned skin on her wrist.
"Ahhhh!"Meera gasped.
A cry of pain escaped her lips. She jerked away immediately. Her entire body flinched.
Aarav froze.
The anger disappeared instantly.Only then did he truly notice how badly her skin looked.
The concern on his face returned immediately. He knew she still don't put medicine on her her burned after burned her hand.
"It's because of your phone, right?" Aarav asked, exhaling.
"Why couldn't you just tell me nicely? Then I wouldn't have been rude to you." He said..
"Now tell me where is the medicine? Can't you just tell me tell me where it is!!" he asked urgently, stepping toward her again.
Meera clutched her injured hand against her chest protectively.
Tears threatened to spill from her eyes. But she refused to let them fall.
"I am not telling you anything. You don't need to care about my phone. I don't need your help.Just leave me alone." Her voice trembled despite her efforts to stay strong.
Aarav stared at her.
The pain she had been carrying by herself.
And somehow...
"I am not going to leave you like this," Aarav said, standing up.
"Now tell me where is your medicine? Your hand needs to be treated now."Aarav asked again.
Meera looked away and did not answer.
Aarav understood she will not tell him . So he began searching through her room to find the treatment.
"Do not touch my things. Please just leave." Meera said, her voice rising.
Aarav ignored the request and continued looking until he located the ointment in her closet.
He walked back over to the bed and sat down next to her, checking the label on the tube and lightly tapped the back of her head.
"Shut up." He said to her
"Why did you hit me?" Meera asked.
"Because you deserve it for being stubborn. Now stop moving.. and let me do it." Aarav said quietly, gently holding her wrist to keep it still.
"Why are you doing this?" Meera asked, watching him.
"Because you are too stubborn to take care of yourself." Aarav replied flatly.
He carefully applied the medicine to her hand, ensuring he did not apply too much pressure.
Once finished, he wrapped a clean bandage around it, stood up. But Aarav stopped at the doorway and glanced back over his shoulder.
"Wait a little bit. I will come back in a while." he said quietly, his voice calmer than before.
Her injured hand closer to her chest.
"Why should I wait for you?" she snapped bitterly, refusing to look at him.
"If you want to go, just leave. It makes no difference to me whether you are here or not." She said without knowing it's hurting him.
Her words were cold, but the pain in her eyes betrayed her indifference.
Aarav stared at her for a moment.
A tired sigh escaped his lips.
Sometimes dealing with Meera felt more exhausting than handling a room full of difficult clients.
Without arguing further, he shook his head slightly.
"Fine. Don't just sleep i will come. " he muttered under his breath.
Then he walked out and quietly closed the door behind him.
The second he left, Meera marched toward the door and locked it from the inside with an irritated click.
"Unbelievable. Why would i wait for this idiot." she mumbled to herself, rolling her eyes.
Downstairs····
Aarav walked into the living room and dropped onto the sofa.
Running a hand through his hair, he pulled out his phone and dialed his assistant.
The call connected after only a few rings.
"Mr. Raghav, I need you to deliver a new phone to my house within the next hour," Aarav said firmly, leaving no room for discussion.
"Make sure it is the latest and most expensive model available." Aarav also said that.
There was a brief silence on the other end.
"Sir, it is already quite late at night," Raghav replied cautiously, sounding surprised by the request.
"Is it that urgent? We could easily arrange it first thing in the morning." Raghav said.
Aarav's jaw tightened.
"Just do it, Raghav.Do not ask questions." he said flatly, his tone turning colder.
"Understood, sir.I will arrange the delivery right away." Raghav responded immediately.
He was about to anything else in the call when Aarav spoke again.
"Wait. There is one more thing."" Aarav said sharply.
"Yes, sir! What is this?"Raghav immediately paused.
Aarav leaned back against the sofa, his expression darkening.
"I need you to gather all available information on Omkar Thakur. Who is our recent project investor"His voice remained calm.
The kind of calm that usually meant trouble.
"I want details about his childhood friends, past relationships, current status, and his entire family background."
Aarav's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Everything means everything. Do not miss a single detail."
Raghav fell silent for a second.
"Yes, sir. I can do that. But gathering that amount of information will take some time, especially at this hour." he replied carefully.
