Chapter 25
Advait entered his room where he had left kids to complete their homework. He entered and found Aditya and Arush were playing video games laughing loudly.
Advait glared at their back, "Kya ho raha hai ye?"
They both turned around to look at the source of the voice.
"Homework karne ke liye kaha tha maine ya video game khelne?" He asked strictly.
"Bhaiya mera homework complete ho gaya." Aditya replied.
"Aur tumhara?" He asked Arush.
Arush looked down and nodded hesitantly, "Mera bhi ho gaya."
"Laao check karao." Advait said sitting down on the bed.
He wanted to check his homework to correct the mistakes if Arush did any. But Arush looked at him in fear because he didn't complete his homework he just lied to save himself.
"Jao notebook le kar aao." Advait again ordered him.
"Aur Adi ye video game khelte huye ab nazar mat aana mujhe subah se yahi chal raha hai." He warned Aditya making him nod in response.
"Tu bhi apni notebook le kar aa." He added.
Aditya started taking out his notebooks but Arush was still standing there with no movements. Advait sighed and stood up, he himself picked up his bag and took out the notebooks from his bag.
He turned pages but there was not any homework. He opened another notebook and the homework was half done in it. He banged notebooks on the table producing a thud sound and making Arush and Aditya flinched in response.
"Kya hai ye?" He asked, "Homework complete hai ye tumhara?" He sharply asked.
Arush bowed his head and didn't reply.
"Abhi maine pucha to jhoot kyu bola, Aru?" He dangerously asked. He was not even shouting at him, his eyes were enough to do the job.
Arush didn't reply but a small whimper escaped from his lips.
"Look at me." Advait told him but he didn't dare to look up in his angry eyes.
Aditya gulped looking at him and sneakingly re-checked his homework for any mistake.
Advait gripped his chin and made him look at him. His glossy eyes met with his angry ones and a shiver ran down in his spine.
"Bolo ab jhoot kyu bola?" He asked holding him at the place.
"So-sorry." Arush sobbed.
"Is it the answer to my question?" He glared at his soul.
"Bolo kyu nahi kiya homework aur jhoot kyu bola?" He again asked.
"Mann nahi tha." He whispered.
Advait hardened his gaze and twisted his ear, "Mann nahi tha ha? Chalo mai tumhara mann karata hoon." He dragged him to the corner by gripping his ear.
"Oww bhaiya so-sorry." Arush cried loudly.
He made him stand in the corner and gave him the notebook and pencil. He was crying hysterically.
"Now complete your homework while standing here." Advait ordered.
Arush was only crying so Advait ignored him and started checking Aditya's homework. He checked his notebook and dismissed him.
He looked at Arush who was still crying standing there and not doing his homework.
Advait went to him with long strides and bore his glare in his soul making him shrunk in his place, "Ghar ke bahar khada hona hai?" He asked calmly yet dangerously.
He shook his head while tears were streaming down on his face, "Wipe off your tears." He ordered.
Arush quickly complied wiping his tears with the back of his hand, "Chup chap yaha khade raho aur apna homework complete karo agar ek awaaz aur aayi na to mai ghar ke bahar khada karke andar se gate lock kar lunga." He said to threatened him.
Arush quickly picked up his notebook and started doing his homework scared by his threat.
Advait sat down on the bed he was pretending to use his phone but his focus was only on Arush who was hicupping silently in the corner. He never handled Arush with strictness it was only a few times that he could remember him behaving strictly with Arush.
Arush was the first one who called him 'bhaiya' so he always had a special part in his heart and he was so little when Advait started taking care of him so he didn't only told him his child he believes that also.
It does not mean that his love for Abhishek and Aditya were any less.
He equally loves three of them but Arush was his most pampered kid.
It wasn't even fifteen minutes when Advait called out for him, "Come here."
Arush looked at him innocently and hicupped saying, "Homework com-complete nahi hua bhaiya."
Advait sighed and went to him, he gently took notebook and pencil from his hands and placed them on the table.
He gently lifted him up in his arms, cradling him to his chest. Arush started crying as soon as Advait took him in his warmth.
He clunged to him and buried his face in his neck, "Shh bas bohot ro liya mera baccha." Advait coaxed him rubbing his back.
Arush's crying calmed down slowly and he looked at Advait with puffy and red eyes, his nose was cherry red due to crying. Advait wiped away his dried tears and kissed his cheeks.
"Bhook lagi hai?" He lovingly asked.
Arush bobbed his head in positive and Advait took him downstairs to the dining room. He also called Aditya and they settled on the chairs.
Arush settled on the right side of the Advait and Aditya was sitting on the left side. Advait made a bite and fed Arush and then he again made a bite and extended his hand towards Aditya who grinned happily and opened his mouth.
"Aap unko kyu khila rahe ho sirf mujhe khilao." Arush said being jealous. He loves getting pampered by Advait and getting extra attention from him and he unconsciously felt jealous when Advait was giving the same attention to anyone because according to him it should be only reserved for him.
"Aapko bhi to khila raha hoon na mai." Advait replied calmly.
"To bas mujhe hi khilao warna mai nahi khaunga." He crossed his arms over his chest.
Advait glared at him.
"It's okay bhaiya mai khud kha lunga." Aditya said.
"Wapas corner me jaana hai, Aru?" Advait asked in a strict tone.
Arush shook his head with tears forming in his eyes, he looked down mumbling, "Aap mujhse pyar nahi karte ab?"
"Agar pyar nahi karta hota na to abhi tak ek kheech ke deta gaal par." Advait warned.
The tears started flowing freely down on his cheeks listening to Advait's reply, "Ye kya har baat par rona shuru ho jata hai?" Advait said firmly.
"Mai kuch bhi karu aapko kya?" Arush shouted.
"Arush, behave." Aditya hissed. He can't tolerate any disrespect towards his bhaiya.
Advait ignored Arush's statement and continued feeding both of them. Arush sulked but had dinner to escaped the scolding.
"Now it's bedtime, Go to your room. Both of you." Advait ordered after cleaning up the table.
"Bhaiya mai apke paas so jau aaj?" Aditya asked tucking on his sleeve.
"Of course baccha." He ruffled his hair, "Go, I'm coming in a while." He told him.
Arush looked at Advait expectantly that he would say something to him but Advait didn't even glanced at him and left.
Arush pouted and went behind him, "Bhaiya." Arush said grabbing his hand from behind.
"Hmm?" He asked dialing a number in his phone.
"Sorry." He said cutely holding his ears.
Advait ignored him and put his phone to ear, it picked up instantly.
"Is everything safe?" He asked over the phone.
"Yes boss." A crisp voice came from the other side.
He hung up the call without saying anything and briefly glanced at Arush who was waiting for his acknowledgment but Advait turned on his heel and headed upstairs.
Arush looked down at his feet with a pouted face, he immediately followed him matching his pace.
"Bhaiya." He called out behind him but Advait continued walking.
Arush quickly sped up his pace and hugged his torso from behind, "Aap mujhe ignore kyu kar rahe ho?"
Advait tried to gently parted him away but failed due to his tightened grip. He stopped trying but didn't hug him back.
Arush parted away just enough to stand in front of him and look up at him with his glassy eyes, "Sorry bhaiya baat karo na please." He softly said.
"Kyu karni hai baat mai to tujhse pyar nahi karta na." Advait replied repeating his words.
Arush again hugged him, "Karte ho aap pyar aise hi bol diya tha." He murmured.
"Hmm theek hai ab door hato mujhe kaam hai." Advait replied coldly.
His eyes got teary listening to his brother's cold tone, he tried to glare at him but his vision got blurry due to tears forming in his eyes.
"Jara sa kuch bolo mat rona pehle hi shuru ho jata hai." Advait scolded.
"Mai nahi ro raha." He blinked his eyes to stop the tears looking absolutely adorable and innocent at the same time.
"Haan mai ro raha hoon." Advait mumbled and entered his room making Arush footsteps instinctively follow him.
Aditya was already laying down on his bed waiting for him. Advait sat down beside him and he put his head on his lap relaxing in the comfort of his brother. Advait's hand started moving on his own stroking his hair.
Arush quietly stood at the distance watching them with harmless jealousy, Advait noticed his every expression but he was adamant on teaching him a lesson. Aditya glanced at him, "Oye bandar udhar kyu khada hai idhar aa na." He called him.
But Arush was only glaring at Advait like he had been betrayed by his lover.
"Aa na, Aru." Aditya insisted.
Arush's anger boiled over and he yelled at him, "Nahi aana mujhe."
"Tone down." Advait pointed him a look.
"Nahi maanunga aapki baat." He shouted on Advait, "Gande ho aap." He yelled and ran to his room banging the door with a thud on his way.
Aditya gulped afraid of Advait's response but to his shock he was looking calm, very calm. He was just only staring at the door from where Arush had ran away a few moments before.
Aditya sat up straight and studied him, "Aapko gussa nahi aa raha?" He asked.
Advait sighed and rubbed his palm over his face, "Bilkul nahi."
"Maine aise baat ki hoti meri to taange tod dete." He mumbled under his breath but much to his luck Advait heard him.
He shot him a glare, "Aankhein band kar aur so jaa."
Aditya quickly laid down covering himself with the duvet. Later on, Advait picked up Abhishek from his friend's place, the exhaustion took over him and he slept.
