Chapter 27

Advait entered his room and a smile spread over his face when he looked at the headrest of his bed. A huge chart was pasted on it and 'Sorry' was written over it in huge letters.

He understood who did all this, he stepped forward to the bed side and there was a card neatly placed on the bed side table.

He picked up the card, it front page was decorated with some glittery stickers.

He fondly shook his head at that and opened the card.

'I am sorry bhaiya' was written inside it in Arush's funny handwriting with a sad emoji drawn on the side page.

He smiled and closed the card and a small candy was pasted on the last page with the help of the cello tape.

He chuckled at his brother's bribing skills.

He carefully placed the card on the table and turned back. Arush was standing there looking up at him with his doe innocent eyes, his fingers were gripping his ears tightly. He was looking like an epitome of innocence.

Advait crossed his arms over his chest dramatically narrowing his eyes.

Arush started doing sit ups holding his ears, "I'm sorry bhaiya." He said and continued doing his sit ups.

"Please maaf kar do mai phir se kabhi aise baat nahi karunga, sorry bhaiya." He said.

Advait didn't reply and was only looking at him silently.

"Bhaiya per dard ho rahe hai." He said cutely trying to melt him.

"Maine aap se nahi kaha sit ups karne ko." Advait replied as a matter of fact.

Arush sulked, "Bhaiya sorry naa please maan jao." He whined.

Advait exhaled softly, "Fine, stop doing this." He said.

"Matlab aap baat karoge mujhse?" Arush excitedly asked.

"Hmm." Advait hummed.

Arush quickly hugged him tightly, Advait chuckled and protectively wrapped his arms around him.

He looked up at him extending his arms, "Upar uthao mujhe per dard ho rahe mere." He said.

Advait smiled and picked him up in his arms kissing his cheeks, "Meri nanhi si jaan."

Arush giggled and draped his arms around his neck resting his face on his shoulder, "Aapne mujhe kal se bohot saara daanta aur aaj khana bhi nahi khilaya." He complained pouting slightly.

"Aapke daant khane wale kaam hai beta." Advait replied pinching his nose.

He settled down on the bed taking him in his lap. Arush buried his face in his chest, "Mai kal bohot ro raha tha aap mujhse baat nahi karte to mujhe bilkul acha nahi lagta." He said and tears started making its way in his eyes.

Advait stroked his hair but stopped when he heard him sniffing. He made him look towards him and cupped his face. His eyes were teary, "Kya hua ab kyu ro raha hai mera baccha?" He coaxed him.

"Aapne mujhse kal se baat nahi ki mai aap se gussa hoon ab mai aap se baat nahi karunga." He sniffed glaring at him.

Advait chuckled, "Par galti to aapki thi na."

"To aap mujhse baat karna band kar doge?" His glare intensified making him look more cute.

"Ab se nahi karunga hm." Advait reassured kissing his nose.

Arush extended his hand, "Promise?"

"Promise." He placed his hand over his and tickled his sides making him giggle.

"Aap bhi promise karo ab se sabse ache se baat karoge agar aap badtameezi karoge to log kahenge ki Aru ke bhaiya ne to usey manners hi nahi sikhaye hai phir wo apke bhaiya ko ganda bolenge aapko acha lagega?" Advait deliberately said this as Arush couldn't tolerate anyone saying bad about him.

Arush quickly shook his head, "Nahi mere bhaiya ko mai kisi ko ganda nahi bolne dunga." He replied, his eyes were determined as if he was ready to fight with anyone who will say bad about Advait.

"Ab kisi se badtameezi nahi karna, ye bad manners hote hai aur mera Aru to good boy hai." Advait said.

Arush bobbed his head, "Mai kisi se badtameezi nahi karunga par aap bhi bas mujhe pyar karna." He demanded.

Advait mentally face palmed himself, "Aise nahi hota hai baccha, mai apne Aru se bohot pyar karta hoon par Abhi aur Adi bhi to apki tarah mere bacche hai to mai unko bhi to pyar karunga na." He said and Arush looked down sadly.

"Aap teeno se mai bohot pyar karta hoon, aap teeno mere liye alag alag ho par equal ho okay." He cupped his cheeks.

"Par aap mujhse thoda jyada pyar karo bas ittu sa please." Arush said showing him the little difference with his fingers.

Advait internally chuckled at that and shook his head. He was about to say something when he heard a loud scream, "Bhaiyaaa."

Advait quickly recognized Abhishek's voice and swiftly put Arush on the floor and ran to the living room in rush from where the voice had come. He stepped down the stairs and found Abhishek was still standing in the corner facing the wall and raising his hands in the air.

He quickly went to his side and turned him around, he checked him for any injury, "Kya hua baccha chillaya kyu?" He asked in concern.

Aditya and Arush also came down and looked at the surroundings to find something which had made his brother screamed his lungs out.

"Mere hath dard kar rahe hain aur aap mujhe yaha aise khada kar ke chale gaye to aapko bulane ke liye chillaya." He replied tiredly leaning on him resting his face on his shoulder.

Advait angrily made him stand and whacked his arm, "Pagal hai tu, aise kon chillata hai kitna dar gaya tha mai." He glared at him.

Abhishek rubbed his arm, "Aapko bilkul taras nahi aata na apne bacche par?" He scoffed.

"Aise janwaro ki tarah chillayenge to kisko taras aayega." Aditya muttered passing him a judging look.

"Jab bacche ki harkate aisi ho to bilkul bhi taras nahi aata." Advait said and sat down on the sofa sighing heavily.

Abhishek sat down beside him putting his head on his shoulder. Aditya and Arush also settled down near them.

Abhishek looked up at Advait as he was glaring at him, "Ab kya ghoorte hi rahenge? Kabhi pyar bhi kar liya karein." Abhishek said.

But Advait glare was still fixed on him, Abhishek pecked on his shoulder and hugged him from the side making Advait's lips curved into a smile.

"Laa dikha." Advait mumbled taking his hands and started massaging them.

Abhishek leaned back in relaxation like a king who had been receiving his prince treatment.

Advait continued massaging his hands but then remember about his grandmother's arrival. He had to share this news with the kids and it was the most difficult task for him as he already anticipated their reactions.

He took a deep breath and cleared his throat before revealing the dreading information.

"Mujhe tum logo se kuch baat karni hai." He started.

Abhishek quickly sat up straight, Aditya and Arush looked at him giving him their full attention. Three of them were looking at him with curiosity.

"Kal dadi aa rahi hain." He informed.

Abhishek's expression turned blank and he looked down while Aditya and Arush exchanged a brief glance.

"Dadi aa rahi hain?" Arush again asked.

Advait nodded.

"Wo abhi tak jinda hai?" Aditya asked nonchalantly.

Advait snapped his eyes at him.

"I-i mean wo last time bohot buddhi thi na to mujhe laga abhi tak...." He replied chuckling nervously.

Advait ignored them and looked at Abhishek who was still shocked from the news of her arrival.

"Abhi, tu theek hai?" Advait carefully asked, concern was tinged in his tone.

He nodded forcing a smile as he didn't want Advait to stress about him.

Advait cupped his cheeks, "Bas thode dino ki baat hai beta phir uske baad wo chali jayengi aur mai unhe pehle hi warn kar dunga kuch nahi bolengi wo mere baccho ko." He stroked his cheeks to assured him.

Abhishek nodded smiling slightly.

"Wo tum logo se kuch nahi kahengi aur agar kehti hain to ek kaan se sun kar dusre se nikal dena. Unki kisi bhi baat ko dil par lene ki jarurat nahi hai, tum sab mere bacche ho aur mere liye is duniya me sabse jyada matter karte ho kisi ki baaton me mat aana hm." He said to all three.

Aditya quickly said, "Don't worry bhaiya mai to unki kisi baat par dhyan hi nahi deta." He said in a cool tone.

"Baato par dhyan nahi dene ka matlab hai unki kisi baat ko dil par mat lena but that doesn't give you the permission to disrespect her. I won't allow you to misbehave with her. She is our elder and I want complete discipline. Understand?" He instructed Aditya as he knew about his unfiltered mouth.

Aditya internally rolled his eyes as physically he surely couldn't because of the person sitting in front of him.

"Arush, it's applies on you too." Advait instructed making him nod in response.

"Mai to good boy hoon sabse ache se baat karta hoon maine aapko abhi to promise kiya tha bhool gaye?" Arush sweetly said.

Aditya laughed at that, "Nice joke."

Arush sulked, "Bhaiya, Adi bhai chida rahe hain." He complained.

"Adi, mat kar pareshaan." Advait chided him gently.

Aditya stifled his laughter.

Advait noticed Abhishek who was engrossed in his thoughts, his head was resting on Advait's shoulder.

He gently massaged his hands in a soothing manner to calm him.

He wasn't worried about Aditya and Arush as they both were capable to answer anyone or to anything even they made people shut their mouths with their witty and sarcastic replies but Abhishek it was a totally opposite case.

Abhishek didn't back answered anyone, he always took people's words to his heart and blamed himself.

They together had their lunch and then Abhishek, Aditya and Arush locked Advait in his study room and told him to do his office work and ordered him to not to come out of the room without their permission.

Advait agreed to their condition as he really had a lot of pending work that he wanted to complete in peace and the kids himself gave him the chance but he also mentally prepared himself for the upcoming disaster as the all his troublemakers were up to something.
