Chapter 70

Advait and Shreya stepped down the stairs, their hands were entwined with each other.

The mansion was cast in a gentle darkness and the spotlight was radiating on the newly wedded couple.

They slowly and carefully stepped down the stairs and the hall erupted in a gentle applauding.

The cameras were flashing on their faces, the clicking sound of pictures and wishes of the guests were mingling in the air.

Shreya looked around herself nervously unusual to this new environment. But Advait firmly yet reassuringly squeezed her hand blinking his eyes at her with a soft smile. Advait slightly raised his palm to stop the media from clicking pictures as Shreya was getting uncomfortable with it.

"Alright everyone," He started.

"I'd like you all to meet my beautiful wife, Mrs. Shreya Advait Malhotra." He introduced, his voice was smooth and commanding.

The Hall once again echoed in the loud cheers. Everyone started enjoying the party, devouring delicious food, moving their hips on the soft rhythm of the music.

Advait introduced Shreya to his business acquaintances and friends. Simran walked to their side and the couple bent down to touch her feet. Simran smiled admiringly looking at Shreya.

"Bohot pyari lag rahi hai meri beti." She said lovingly placing her hand on her cheek.

Shreya's heart swelled with a mix of emotions.

On the other side of the party, Sia was following Abhi like a lost puppy. Abhishek was walking from one place to another attending the guests. Finally, he turned around and gave her a look.

"Can you please stop following me?" He asked.

"Just a dance, Abhi. I'm not asking for your life." She pouted.

"I can't dance." He replied.

"But why?" She whined.

"Because I don't know how to." He stated.

She rolled her eyes, "I'll guide you. Just say yes."

"Sia..." He started but she cut him off with her puppy eyes.

"'Kay." He mumbled looking away.

"Aww my pookie friend." She pinched his cheeks.

He backed off, "Hey, don't do that." He said.

In the one corner of the mansion, Tia and Reyansh were lost in each other's eyes. Tia's back was pressed against the wall and Reyansh was hovering over her. Her eyes were flashing with fire and a smirk was formed on her lips. Her fingers were tightly clutched around his lapels.

"Hmm so what were you saying on text, Mr. Khurana?" She asked, her voice was commanding.

Reyansh's adam apple bobbed down slowly as he gulped down his saliva under her girlfriend's dominating gaze.

"I-I... no-nothing." He stuttered.

She squinted her eyes, "Nothing? But as far as I remember you told me." Her smirk deepened, "I'd kiss the hell out of you if you were in front of me."

Reyansh smiled sheepishly, he exaggerated while texting and now not even having the courage to look straight into her eyes.

"I'm standing here...right in front of you. Kiss the hell out of me. Now." She slurred looking straight into his hesitant eyes.

He didn't move. He couldn't.

She tucked on his lapels and he leaned closer, "Kiss me, Ansh. I'm waiting." She whispered with desire.

Reyansh leaned down and kissed the corner of her lip. She sucked the sharp breath at the sudden touch. His lips lingered there for a moment before he straightened up again.

"Quite a peculiar definition of 'kissing the hell out of me'." She mocked.

Reyansh rubbed his neck from behind looking away slightly.

"Now let me teach my sweet boyfriend how to kiss properly." She said, pulling him on herself and smashed her lips onto his.

She started kissing him passionately while gripping his hair from behind.

His hand slipped onto her waist instinctively.

Their lips were started moving in sync, tongues fighting with each other for dominance.

Reyansh lifted up her one leg placing on his waist and glued to her against the wall not breaking the kiss in between.

Their lips were glued to each other like two opposite magnetic forces glued.

Chests were falling up and down in rhythm as they both lost in the pleasure.

The room erupted in darkness, a spotlight radiated from above falling down on Abhishek who was standing in the middle of the hall. The tune started playing in the background and everyone turned their attention to him.

He walked slowly with the beat and stretched out his palm. A beautiful manicured hand was placed above his and another spotlight fell down on Sia. She smiled slightly while looking at Abhishek with her soft eyes.

They both moved in sync, Abhishek's left hand was placed on her waist while another hand was entwined with hers. Her right hand was rested on his shoulder.

The guests were looking enthusiastically and curiously at the performance.

Reyansh was smirking at the duo and Tia had a teasing glint in her eyes.

She was already preparing remarks in her mind to tease her little sister after the performance.

Advait was looking at both of them with a neutral face not thinking much out of a dance performance.

Abhishek joined their hands and twirled her around. His one hand was behind his back while another was revolving around to make her twirl. She was twirling beautifully with her high heels and slim-curved dress.

Her back was pressed against his chest as they moved with the slow beats of the song. Sia's heart was pounding due to the close proximity but Abhishek, he was only focusing on the dance and was not feeling anything. She was always a best friend to him nothing more.

He stretched out his arm and she roamed thrice before bumping to his chest. Her eyes met with his and a fresh wave of an unnamed emotions brewd up inside her heart. They end their performance with a beautiful waist fall and the guests started cheering up for them, praising their dance.

Abhishek chugged down the water and exhaled a sigh of relief. Sia came from behind and tapped his shoulder mischievously.

"Look, it was so easy." She commented.

"Easy?" He asked incredulously, "My hands were trembling during the whole performance." He said.

"Say thanks to me, Abhi. I'm helping you in getting out of your shell." She said proudly.

He gave her a bored look, "I don't want to be out. I'm happy in my shell."

She rolled her eyes in exasperation.

Reyansh looked at both of them from a distance and a playful smirk played on his lips. He walked up to their side stopping in front of them.

"Bohot accha dance kiya tum dono ne." He praised.

"Thank you, jiju." Shreya grinned.

Abhishek raised his brow suspiciously looking at his over enthusiastic smile.

"Tum dono bhi saath me theek hi lag rahe the magar Rupali hoti to maja aa jata." He said wiggling his brows.

The sentence got Sia's attention, "Rupali? Kon Rupali?" She asked almost instantly.

Reyansh smirked at Abhishek who gritted out his teeth and silently threatened him to shut his mouth. But Reyansh...

"Abhi ne tujhe bataya nahi?" He asked innocently. She shook her head in denial.

"Rupali. Abhi ki classmate aur... uski girlfriend." He exaggerated just to tease Abhishek.

"Whatt?" Abhishek almost shouted.

"Kuch bhi mat boliye bhai wo girlfriend nahi hai meri." Abhishek said defensively making Reyansh laughed.

But Sia, she felt something inside her heart shifted. She was calm, too calm. Her innocent heart cracked up a little but she didn't show it on her face. She blinked away the tears forming inside her eyes.

Reyansh looked at her, "Hey! Tujhe kya hua?" He asked genuinely.

She shook her head, "No-Nothing, Shayad di mujhe bula rahi hain." She made an excuse pointing at Tia who was standing in the opposite corner of the hall.

She said and walked away from there leaving confused Reyansh and Abhishek behind.

"Bhai yaar ye kya kiya aapne?" Abhishek whined.

"Maine kya kiya?" He asked, making an innocent face.

"Aapne us bhaiya ki chamchi ke saamne Rupali ko meri girlfriend bana diya, agar usne bhaiya ko bataya na to dekh lena." He complained.

Reyansh rolled his eyes, "Chill, usey pata hai mai mazak kar raha tha." He replied coolly.

The party came to an end and the guests slowly started leaving the party.

Everyone left and only the Reyansh, Tia and Sia were left behind.

Vanya went home back with her parents. Aditya and Arush had already slept as they were tired and crashed on the bed as soon as the party over.

Abhishek was still awake studying in his room, his exams were in two days and he had a lot of topics to recover before it.

Advait and Reyansh were sitting on the terrace, the cool wind was flowing in the air brushing past over their faces.

The atmosphere was calm enough to relax their minds.

Advait was sitting on the couch placed on the one side of the terrace and Reyansh was settled on the adjacent couch.

A fountain was built in the center of the terrace, the soothing sound of falling water was a melody to their ears.

Reyansh poured out the expensive wine in a glass and placed it in front of Advait before pouring himself an another glass. Advait silently looked down at the glass and then at Reyansh.

"Mood nahi hai." He murmured, his voice was quiet and low.

"Aise kaise mood nahi hai mere dost ki shaadi huyi hai celebration to banta hai. Chal utha glass." He replied sipping down the liquid from his own glass.

Advait took out a cigarette from his coat and lighted up.

He held the cigarette between his fingers and drew close to his lips.

He dragged a long puff before letting out the smoke in the air.

He leaned back on the couch, eyes closing in relief as the smoke filled up in his chest relaxing down his muscles.

Reyansh looked at him with a frown, he was looking different. His friend never smoke, he wasn't allowed to because of the anxiety issues he was facing. The last time Reyansh saw his friend smoking at the time of his mother's first death anniversary.

"Kya hua, Advi?" He asked, his voice was cautious and face etched in concern.

Advait slowly opened his eyes looking at him, "Kuch nahi." He curtly replied.

He took another long drag.

Reyansh narrowed his eyes, "Stop smoking." He ordered.

Advait threw the death stick on the floor without hesitation and crushed it beneath his shoe.

He picked up the glass of wine and gulped down the red liquid of it.

"Hua kya hai?" Reyansh again repeated.

Advait leaned forward resting his elbows on his knees. He looked down at the floor with an irritated expression. His forehead was creased with tensed lines and an unusual emotion was visible on his face... fear.

"That motherfucker Randheer Raichand has threatened me." He said, his voice loathed in despise.

Reyansh squinted his eyes carefully because everyone knows Advait Malhotra was not afraid of anything and stressing over a threat was not his personality.

"He was begging me to take out his son from jail. But when I denied, that bastard had the audacity to threaten me with my kids." He spat out.

Reyansh's expression turned serious at the mention of the kids. He knew the people often took business rivalry so personally that they could stoop any low.

"What did he told you exactly?" Reyansh asked.

Advait looked at him, his body was trembling in rage.

A middle aged man wearing a crisp white suit was standing in the cabin of Advait under the roof of Malhotra Industry.

His face was red with anger and hands were twitching on his sides, his eyes were sharp like blade.

In front of him, Advait was sitting on his leather chair unbothered by the uninvited guest. His eyes were fixed on the letters of the file he was holding.

The air in the room was thick with silence, the silence that comes before the storm.

"Advait Malhotra, I'm warning you for the last time." His voice was filled with threat, "It'll be in your best interest to take back your case otherwise I'll make you regret." He said promisingly.

Advait didn't look up not because he was afraid but because he didn't need to. He was used to of getting multiple threats from his business rivals and it didn't affect him anymore.

"Keep that attitude, Malhotra." Randheer said mockingly, "I would love to see your face when you were on my place, begging me for your brother's life."

Advait snapped up his gaze at him, he stood up on his legs scraping back the chair with the intensity that it stumbled to the wall. Randheer flinched back seeing the fire in Advait's eyes, his legs involuntarily took a step back.

Advait didn't give him the chance to comprehend the situation and gripped his throat tightly. The man gasped for air, Advait tightened his grip blocking off the exchange of air in his body.

"Apni gandi jubaan se mere bhaiyon ka naam bhi mat lena warna jubaan kheech loonga mai teri." He said, his voice was sharp like a whip and a clear promise was there.

"Tera beta aaj jis jagah hai wo jagah usne khud apne liye chuni hai." Advait said in a low dangerous tone, "Bas kuch din aur Raichand phir tujhe bhi usi jail me sadaunga mai." He promised.

Randheer's face was pale, his hands were tightly clutching Advait's hand trying to remove his grip off his throat but it was futile.

His eyes were wide as if he was near to death, his hands slumped down on his sides, he stopped struggling accepting his fate but Advait jerked him away from himself at the last moment before he could take his last breath.

He stumbled back falling on the ground gasping for air and rubbing his neck. His eyes were watering due to lack of air in his lungs. Advait slowly stepped forward and pressed his polished shoe on his hand, his jaw clenched in anger and eyes darkening.

"This...is your place. Don't forget it." Advait said, his voice was low and merciless.
