Chapter 91

Abhishek was over the moon. He was smiling like a crazy man.

His heart was swollen with happiness and relief.

He informed Roohanika about the good news and her reaction was the same as him.

A relief washed over her face and she was happily twirling around in her room when her mother entered the room.

She quickly hugged her tightly. Her mother looked at her amusingly as her daughter was really happy after a long time.

She didn't even remember when was the last time she had seen her smiling like this.

"Mom, I'm so happy." She sang, hugging her tightly.

"Abhi ne apni family ko mana liya. Kal uske bhaiya ghar aa rahe hain Abhi aur meri shaadi ki baat karne." She squealed.

Her mother smiled widely, "Sacch?"

She nodded.

"Finally mai aur mera Abhi ek hone wale hain." She said with a smile.

"Aur Malhotras barbaad hone wale hain." Vikram said, entering the room.

Roohanika smirked at his statement.

"Wo to honge hi." She said, "Ek baar Abhi se meri shaadi ho jaye phir uss Advait Malhotra ko mujhe ghar se bahar fekne me jyada der nahi lagegi." She said in a planned tone.

Vikram's lips twitched up.

"Humare saath huyi har ek cheez ka badla lungi. Wo beizzati, wo zillat in Malhotras ko mehsoos karana hi mera sabse pehla maqsad hai. Utha kar road par fek dungi uss Advait aur uske bhaiyon ko." She gritted out.

"Aur ghar par raaj karenge mai aur mera Abhi." She smiled remembering him.

Vikram rolled his eyes at the mention of Abhishek but kept his mouth shut.

"Apne pyar ke chakkar me humara plan barbaad mat kar dena, Roohi." Vikram warned.

"Don't worry, bhai." She said coolly.

"Abhi ke liye pyar se jyada mere dil me Advait ke liye nafrat hai." She said in despise.

Their mother looked at both of them in concern, "Purani baatein bhool jao beta aur phir galti bhi to Vikram ki thi. Badle se aaj tak kisi ka bhala nahi hua hai aur na aage kabhi hoga." She said.

"Humne aapse gyaan nahi maanga, Mom." Vikram said sharply.

Roohanika looked at her mother, "Kuch cheezon ka hisaab clear karna jaruri hota hai, Mom. You won't understand." She said winking at Vikram.

Vikram snaked his arm around her shoulder, "That's like my sister." He said in a proud tone.

Roohanika's expression turned firm, "Kal Advait Malhotra ghar par aa raha hai.

Wo itni jaldi iss rishte ke liye maan gaya ye baat mai nahi maan sakti wo jarur koi game khelega par humein dimaag se sochna hoga.

Aap aur dad uske saamne koi galat baat nahi karenge bilkul natural behave karna hai.

I don't know what he is planning but humein usey koi chance nahi dena jisey wo humare against use kar sake.

Dhyan rahe bhai koi galti nahi honi chahiye.

" She instructed clearly. Her tone was sharp like a dictator.

Vikram nodded, "Bohot acche se swaagat karenge hum apne khaas dushman ka." He said pocketing his hands with a vile look on his face.

Their mother glanced between them and left the room. She knew they were wrong but she couldn't do anything when her husband was the one guiding their children on the wrong path.

Shreya was chopping vegetables and Aditya was making the dough for naan.

They both were precisely doing their works while indulging themselves in a heartfelt banter and teasing.

Shreya's mood was upset, Aditya noticed it and he suggested her to cook something good together.

Cooking was a therapy for both of them. The fresh aromas of delicious food always cheered up their moods.

Shreya glanced at the way Aditya's hand was moving so effortlessly and precisely. He was his favorite cook obviously after her husband. Her husband makes the best food in the world.

"Teri biwi tujhse badi khush rahegi, Adi." Shreya teased him.

Aditya's cheeks flushed.

Shreya noticed his red cheeks and teased him more, "Tu khud itna sharmayega to teri biwi kitna sharmayegi ha?"

"Wo nahi sharmayegi maine kabhi Vanu ko sharmate huye nahi dekha." He replied.

Shreya rolled her eyes, "Wo kya sharmayegi uski baatein sunke to dusron ko sharam aa jaye. She really needs a filter in her mouth." She replied.

"Pasand kiski hai?" Aditya raised his brow with a smirk as if it was a compliment.

"Kam se kam koi samajhdaar ladki to dundhta dono ke dono bewakoof ho tum pata nahi kaise kaam chalega tumhara." Shreya said, her focus was on finely chopping the onions.

Aditya looked at her being offended, "Aise mat boliye bhabhi. She is best."

"Hmm thodi jhalli hai par pyari hai." Shreya replied with a smile.

"Tu bole to Abhi se pehle teri baat pakki kara doon?" She bumped her shoulder with his. Her tone was mischievous.

He again looked down with beetroot face, "Abhi to mai baccha hoon, bhabhi." He said shyly.

"To bacche padhai par focus karte hai in sab kaamo me dhyan nahi lagate." She said a little firmly.

"Aap to ek second me change ho gaye." Aditya said with an open mouth.

"Humare yahan aisa hi hota hai." She shrugged.

Just in a time, A running Abhishek came into the kitchen and swiftly picked up Shreya in his arms in a bridal style twirling her around a few rounds.

She jolted with a sudden movement and tried to comprehend the situation.

Abhishek was grinning widely, his pearly teeth were on display.

Aditya was looking at him like he has grown two heads because first thing he was not expecting him at home and second thing the person who was yelling and screaming at everyone just a day back was now grinning like a maniac.

"Abhi, neeche utar mujhe chakkar aa rahe hain." Shreya yelled.

Abhishek smoothly put her down on her feets and hugged her tightly.

"Bhaiya maan gaye, bhabhi." He said, his voice was heavy with his emotions.

Shreya smiled widely and pulled back. She cupped his cheeks before asking.

"Sacch me? Kaise?" She asked unbelievably.

"Sacch me bhabhi aur aapko pata hai bhaiya kal Rooh ke ghar jaa rahe hain uski family se humari shaadi ki baat karne." He informed.

Her face was showing the happiness she was feeling for her child. She pecked his forehead like a mother does to her child.

"I'm so happy for you, baccha." She whispered.

Meanwhile, Aditya was fuming in anger but at the same time he was confused why did Advait agree for the alliance with Raichands. But one thing he knew very well if his bhaiya was doing something then it would be in family's best favor.

Abhishek's gaze landed on Aditya who was not looking at them. He approached him, "Tu khush nahi hai apne bhai ke liye?" Abhishek asked.

"I'm more concerned than happy for you." He replied dryly.

Abhishek frowned.

Aditya noticed his expression.

"Jo abhi iss ghar me aayi hi nahi hai uske liye itna hungama ho gaya to uske aane ke baad kya hoga." He cleared.

"God bless you." Aditya mocked.

Shreya shook her head at Aditya to shut down his mouth and he obeyed immediately.

Abhishek pulled Aditya in a hug, "Aisa kuch nahi hoga. Mujhe pata hai maine bhaiya se jaise baat ki uss baat ke liye tu naraaz hai par maine unse maafi maang li hai. Ab tu bhi apne bhai ko maaf kar de." Abhishek said.

Aditya hugged him back silently accepting his apology. He was not the one who do emotional stuff. He always gets out of words when it was an emotional moment.

"Kya bana raha hai?" Abhishek asked looking at the counter.

"Mixed veg and naan." He replied.

Abhishek cringed at the dishes name. He was a fitness freak and hates oily and spice filled food.

"Mere liye salad hi bana dena." He said.

Shreya slapped his bicep from behind, "Chup chap Jo bana hai wo khana. Ye ghaas foos kha kar bakre jaisa shareer kar liya hai." She said glancing at him disapprovingly.

Abhishek gasped being offended and glanced at himself, "Isey fit hona kehte hain, bhabhi." He retorted.

Aditya sneered, "Bechare bhai gym me itne dumbell uthane ke baad end me comparison kisse hua? Bakre se." He laughed out loud.

"Tu hoga bakra." Abhishek hissed back.

"Mai bakra nahi Goat hoon, bhai," He replied.

Abhishek rolled his eyes, "Same to same."

"G.O.A.T." He said proudly, "Greatest of all time." He fixed his hair after saying.

Abhishek threw an apple towards his side. Aditya put up his guards shielding himself with his arms.

"Food war huh?" He said while picking up a carrot from the basket and threw it at him.

An another apple was in Abhishek's hand and a potato was in Aditya's hand. Both were mischievously glaring at each other and ready to throw their next weapon but Shreya spoke up before that.

Shreya glared at both of them, "Mere kitchen se bahar niklo dono ke dono." She snapped.

They both neatly placed back their weapons on its places and their faces formed in a pout like scolded kids.

They both came out of the kitchen still bickering. When Advait's voice boomed in the mansion, he was stepping down the stairs. His jaw was clenched and eyes were narrowed in anger. Abhishek and Aditya exchanged a nervous glance.

"Aru kahan hain?" Advait asked, spotting them in the hall.

"Wo to college me hain abhi ghar nahi aaya." Aditya replied.

Advait exhaled a frustrated sigh.

"Kya hua, bhaiya?" Abhishek asked cautiously, sensing his anger.

Advait rubbed his forehead to ease out the tensed lines, "College se mail aaya hai, zero attendance hain uski." He informed.

Abhishek asked in slight anger and concern, "Ye ghar se to roj college ke liye nikalta hai phir jata kahan hai?"

Advait narrowed his eyes at Aditya, "Tujhe pata tha wo classes bunk karta hai?" He asked firmly.

Aditya immediately shook his head, "Nahi, bhaiya. Mujhe nahi pata abhi new semester start hua hai to mai apne schedule me hi busy rehta hoon." He replied.

"Semester start huye one month ho gaya hai aur ek month me usne ek bhi class nahi li to jata kahan hai ye idiot." Advait scolded both of them as if it was their fault.

"Ab samajh aaya accha sa muhuurat dekh kar maaf karunga huh." Abhishek muttered under his breath.

"Kya?" Aditya asked.

"Arey aj mai college gaya tha usey manane ke liye maine bola I am sorry bahar aa jaa lunch karne chalte hain to mujhe bol raha ki mai aap se naraaz hoon aur accha sa muhuurat dekh kar aapko maaf karunga." Abhishek mimicked him in a mocking tone.

Aditya snickered, "Ab accha sa muhuurat dekh kar bhaiya uska hawan karenge." He laughed under his breath.

"Aane de isey aaj ek thappad lagaunga sab sacch bolne lagega." Abhishek said angrily.

Advait glared at him, "Haath laga kar dikhana." He threatened him.

Aditya sulked, "Ye kya baat huyi bhaiya aap usko kuch nahi bolte hain. It's not fair."

"Correct. Aapne hi usey bigaada hua hai usey pata hai kuch bhi kar lo bas thodi si daant hi to khaani hai." Abhishek joined him.

Advait ignored them and settled down on the couch.

"Muh band rakho dono apna." He said, "Tum kya chahte ho itni si baat ke liye apne bacche ki jaan le loon?" He glared at them.

Abhishek and Aditya rolled their eyes simultaneously.

"Rehne dijiye bhaiya aap bas apne laadle se hi pyar karte hain tabhi usey kuch nahi kehte." Aditya pouted. He said this intentionally to put Arush in trouble.

"Aisa nahi hai." Advait replied.

"Aisa hi hai." Abhishek retorted.

Advait shot both of them a look.

"Agar aisa nahi hai to aaj prove karke dikhaiye." Aditya said in a challenging tone.

Abhishek smirked looking at Aditya who winked his eye in return.

"Aane do isey aaj dekhta hoon mai." Advait muttered under his breath.

Abhishek and Aditya hi-fived silently, stiffling their smiles.

As if on cue, Arush entered the hall with a charming smile on his face. His bag was slinging over a one shoulder. He was looking like an epitome of innocence. His gaze landed on his elder brothers who were already glaring at him.

But he didn't notice the look in their eyes and ran to Advait. He slumped down on the couch beside Advait hugging his side with a grin.

"Bhaiyaaaa." He sang out of habit.

Advait's expression softened immediately. He wrapped his arm around him forgetting his anger.

"Aap aaj office nahi gaye?" He looked up from his embrace and asked showing his doe eyes.

Abhishek nudged Aditya to do something before Advait could melt. Aditya quickly pulled Arush up from the couch in a swift motion.

Arush yelled, "Ah-kya kar rahe ho, bhai?" He said scrunching his face.

"Chup chap khada reh yahan." Aditya said.

"Bhaiyaa." Arush whined.

Advait was about to speak when Aditya looked at him and reminded him to be strict through his eyes.

Advait cleared his throat and stood up, "Kahan se aa raha hai?" He asked gently yet firmly.

"Aise nahi, bhaiya." Abhishek said from behind.

"Kahan se aa raha hai?" Abhishek asked in a heavy voice with mock angry face.

Advait glared at Abhishek's soul and he quietly sat down on the couch with a meek look putting his finger on lips.

Arush gulped down sensing the tension.

"College se." Arush whispered looking down.

Before Advait could say anything. Aditya spoke up, "Loud." He yelled in a mock commanding voice.

This time Advait glared at him and he also quietly sat down beside Abhishek with a finger on his lips.

Advait returned his attention back at Arush, "Sacch sacch bata Aru kahan gaya tha?" He asked seriously.

Arush put up the most innocent face ever, "Friends ke saath ghoomne gaya tha bhaiya. Aaj koi class nahi thi islie warna mai roj classes hi leta hoon." He said, his voice was just above a whisper.

Advait fisted his hands at his lie but again he was about to say something when Abhishek and Aditya spoke up simultaneously.

"Jhooth." They both shouted.

Advait turned back at them picking up the cushions and whacked both of them for a few times.

"Oww.. bhaiya." Abhishek yelped.

"Humein nahi oww usey maarna hai." Aditya said leaning close to Abhishek.

"Tum dono mujhe bolne doge tab usey kuch bolunga na. Nalayak beech me bole hi jaa rahe hain." Advait said whacking them.

Arush stiffled his laughter looking at their expressions.

Aditya noticed it and gasped, "Bhaiya dekhiye wo has raha hai."

Advait turned towards Arush and gripped his ear harshly, "Jyada hasi aa rahi hai huh?"

Arush stomped his feet, "Bhaiya dard ho raha hai please mera kaan choriye." He said in pain.

"Roj college ka bol kar kahan jata hai?" Advait asked twisting his ear.

Arush gulped down.

"Batata hoon bhaiya please mera kaan chordijiye." He said with teary eyes.

Advait left his ear, "Bata aur agar maar na khani ho to sacch hi bolna, Aru." He warned.

Arush looked down, "Mai college hi jaata hoon, bhaiya." He said and Advait again raised his hand to grip his ear but Arush continued, "Pa-Par class nahi leta."

"Kyun?" Advait asked sharply.

"Ab se saari classes lunga. Promise." He said in a low voice.

"Jhootha." Aditya whispered to Abhishek who nodded in return.

"Abhi tak kyun nahi li? Classes bunk karne ke liye college jate ho?" Advait scolded, "Low attendance to bhool hi jao zero attendance hai teri."

"Sorry." Arush whispered.

"Kya sorry?" Advait snapped, "Padhai nahi karni to ghar par baitho time aur paise waste karne ki jarurat nahi hai."

Tears pricked up in Arush's eyes and he blinked them away.

"Ek aansu bhi aaya na to ek kheech ke lagaunga." Advait threatened firmly,

showing him his hand.

Abhishek and Aditya let out a mocking chuckle at the empty threat. Advait listened to them but ignored it.

"Sabse pehle apna friend circle change kar pata nahi kiske saath reh kar bigad raha hai." He said irritatingly.

"Bhaiya ko kya pata dusre bacche iske saath reh kar bigad rahe hain." Aditya sneered and whispered to Abhishek.

But Advait listened to him and daggered holes in his soul through eyes.

"Sorry bhaiya." Aditya whispered, shrinking close to Abhishek for protection.

Arush started sobbing, his cheeks puffed out in a pout making him look like his five year old self again. Advait shifted his attention back on Arush who quickly threw himself on Advait. His face was buried in his chest and he sniffled purposely.

Advait melted down, "Ro kyu raha hai bas daanta hi to hai maine." He asked in a feather like voice making Abhishek and Aditya open their mouths in disbelief.

"Sorry bhaiya ab se bunk nahi karunga saari classes lunga." Arush muttered.

Advait was smoothly brushing his hair, "Mujhe pata hai mera baccha." He replied softly pecking the top of his head.

Abhishek and Aditya scoffed.

Advait noticed their expression and raised his brow, "Ab kya chahiye daant to diya maine bechara rone bhi laga." He said.

"Sirf daantne se kaam nahi chalta bhaiya punishment bhi dijiye." Abhishek suggested.

Aditya nodded, "Aur kya isne to paani ki tanki apne andar fit ki huyi hai zara sa kuch keh do rona start ho jata hai iska matlab ye thodi na ki aap isey har baar aise hi jaane denge." He protested.

Arush looked at both of them with a glare and muttered, "Jealous people."

"Aru, you are grounded for a month." Advait told him.

"Ground?" Abhishek and Aditya stood up with an incredulous look.

Advait looked confused.

"Ground karna koi punishment nahi hoti, bhaiya." Aditya said crossly.

"Dusri punishment dijiye." Abhishek added.

Aditya shook his head, "Nahi bhai, dusri punishment bhi dijiye. Ye wali to rahegi hi." He said.

"Maine aap dono ka kya bigada hai?" Arush asked in a complaining tone.

"Arey itne din baad to laadsahab chungal me fase hain ye moka hum kaise jaane de sakte hain." Aditya whispered so that only he could listen while pulling his cheeks.

Arush jerked away his hands glaring at him.

"Mai ek punishment suggest karun?" Abhishek chirped up.

"Kariye kariye, bhai." Aditya replied before Advait could answer.

"Isne ek bhi class nahi li to iska bohot saara syllabus reh gaya hoga to as a punishment roj isey 2 ghante bhaiya ke saamne baith kar padhai karni hogi." He said making Arush's eyes widened.

"Nahiii." He yelled in horror.

"Sahi bol raha hai, Abhi. Ab se daily evening me tu meri study me aa kar padhai karega." Advait ordered making Arush cried.

"Ek punishment meri taraf se bhi." Aditya quipped.

"Arey ye kya baat huyi mai kya koi mandir ka ghanta hoon jo har koi aa kar baja kar chala jayega." Arush protested. His tone was defiant.

"Bas karo ab tum dono usey pareshan karna." Advait said firmly.

"Bhaiya please ek last punishment." Aditya pleaded, blinking his eyes.

Advait let out an exasperated sigh before nodding.

"Workout session with bhai for a week." Aditya announced with a wicked grin.

Arush shifted closer to Advait in terror, "Never." He screamed.

Aditya looked at Advait for help and Advait nodded making Arush's face scrunched up in a betrayal.

Advait left from there leaving a sulking Arush behind with the two monsters. As soon as Advait was out of sight, Abhishek and Aditya snaked their arms around Arush from both the sides sandwiching him between them.

"Aaj aaya na unth pahaad ke neeche." Abhishek commented.

"Unth nahi bhai bandar." Aditya corrected with a teasing laugh.

Abhishek laughed along.

"Hitler ho aap dono." Arush mumbled.

"Kal gym me tujhe dikhaunga asli hitler dikhta kaisa hai." Abhishek said making Arush gulped audibly.

Abhishek was lethal in gym. He was very strict about workout and disciplined routine.

The innocent brother turns into a merciless monster in the gym.

Aditya and Arush were always tried to avoid a workout session with him.

In this matter, they would always prefer Advait over him as Advait once may take pity looking at their puppy faces but Abhishek would never.
