Chapter 117
Aditya and Vanya were in the college sitting in their class as it was their free period.
Vanya was gossiping about everyone and he was listening to her silently.
A constant smile was there on Aditya's lips and his gaze was fixed on her face.
He noticed each and every detail, how her hands were moving in the air when she talked, how she widened her eyes to add the dramatic effect.
Her every movement, every expression was noticed by him and he was silently admiring her.
He was lost in her eyes when Vanya snapped her fingers in front of him, "Kahan kho gaya?" She asked.
"Uh-Kahin nahi." He replied, scratching the back of his neck.
Aditya tried to divert the topic, "Tujhe ek baat bataun?" He asked.
"Bata." She said, leaning forward with curiosity.
"Hum log mil kar dadi ko ghar se bhagane wale hain." He said in an excited voice.
Vanya smiled widely, "Kaise?"
"Dadi ko bhooton se dar lagta hai to hum Sadhwi ko chudail bana kar dadi ko darayenge aur ghar me bhoot hai ye soch kar wo wapas chali jayengi." He told her with a mischievous grin on his face.
Vanya glared at him, "Teri himmat kaise huyi Sadhwi ka naam lene ki? Maine kaha tha na tu usey didi bolega. Meri baaton ki koi value nahi hai tere liye?" She asked with hurt.
Aditya shook his head frantically, "Nahi Vanu, mai usey didi hi bolta hoon I swear. Wo to bas tere saamne Sadhwi bol diya." He replied in fear.
"Mere saamne bhi didi hi bol aur tu usse kam baat kiya kar." She warned, pointing her finger at him.
Aditya smirked, "Kyun tujhe jalan ho rahi hai?" He asked teasingly but genuinely wanted to know her answer.
Vanya rolled her eyes, "Mujhe koi jalan nahi ho rahi, tu kar tujhe jo karna hai." She said, hiding her emotions.
"I was joking, sweetheart. Tujhe usse jealous hone ki jarurat nahi hai. Tujhe pata hai na mai tere alawa aur kisi ladki ki taraf dekhta tak nahi hoon." He said sincerely, holding her hand in his making her smile.
"Sadhwi didi to meri behen jaisi hai aur shayad... hone wali bhabhi bhi." Aditya said with the teasing edge in his voice.
"Matlab?" Vanya asked in confusion.
"Aru likes her." He informed.
Vanya made a face, "Aru usey like karta hai?" She asked in shock, "Usey aur koi nahi mili?" She asked, with a scowl.
Aditya passed her a disapproving look, "Usme problem kya hai, Vanu?" He asked genuinely.
"Problem?" Vanya rolled her eyes, "Problem hai uska standard." She replied, her words were sharp.
"Wo humare standard ki nahi hai aur Aru ko to usse dosti bhi nahi rakhni chahiye, like karna to bohot door ki baat hai.
Wo ladki tumhare ghar me naukar hai aur Aru ek naukar ko like karta hai.
.. sunne me kitna low standard lagta hai.
Aru kahan aur wo ladki kahan." She told him, making disgusted faces.
Aditya kept looking at her and let her complete, "Are you fine?" He asked her when she completed her sentence.
Vanya raised her brow in a questioning manner.
"I don't know you." Aditya said firmly.
"Mai jis Vanu ko jaanta hoon wo aisi to nahi hai." He said making her heart stung, "Low standard? Seriously Vanya Khurana?" Aditya asked sternly. His eyes were sharp.
Vanya gulped down after realizing that she had landed herself in trouble because of her big fat mouth.
"Adi, I didn't mean...
"You didn't mean what?" He snapped but kept his voice low as there were also the other students in the class.
"Low standard wo nahi hai, low standard teri soch hai, Vanu. Tu aisa soch bhi kaise sakti hai?" He scolded, "And she is not a servant. She is a housekeeper. Wo humare ghar me job karti hai aur uss job ki salary leti hai, naukar nahi hai wo kisi ki." His voice was firm and sharp.
The tears rushed in Vanya's eyes listening to his sharp tone. Aditya looked away from her face not able to look at her tears.
"I'm telling you, Vanu. Apni iss soch ke saath tu kahin nahi jaa payegi. Change it before it's too late." He said calmly.
Vanya stood up and left from there with tears in her eyes. It was very rare for her when anyone or especially Aditya used this tone with her. She ran to the quiet corridor and let her tears fall freely.
Aditya banged his hand on the table muttering, "Fuck." He stood up and left the class behind her.
Rocky was standing outside the class. Aditya looked between the two directions as he hadn't knew where had Vanya gone.
"Vanya ko dundh raha hai?" Rocky asked.
Aditya shot him a sharp look.
"Iss side gayi hai." Rocky said even after Aditya hadn't asked him.
Aditya gave him one last look and went to the guided side and Rocky smirked at his retreating figure.
Vanya was sobbing standing in the corner while wiping off her tears with the back of her hand when she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was not a familiar touch so she quickly turned around to see the face of the person. Rocky was standing there, Vanya jerked his hand away from her shoulder.
"Are you okay?" He asked gently.
Vanya narrowed her eyes at his gentle tone but nodded her head.
"Apne boyfriend se ladai ho gayi kya?" He asked.
"Get lost." Vanya replied and turned to left from there.
But Rocky stood up in front of her with an apologetic smile on his face.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. Actually maine dekha Aditya ne kaise baat ki tumse, mai class me hi tha." He told her.
"So what?" She snapped.
"Usey tumse aise baat nahi karni chahiye thi." He said, keeping his voice low.
She looked away and he smirked.
"Jiske paas jo cheez hoti hai usey uski kadar hi nahi hoti." Rocky added.
Vanya glared at his soul, stepping forward, "Pehli baat, Vanya Khurana koi cheez nahi hai." She gritted out, "Aur dusri baat, Adi meri kitni kadar karta hai ye mujhe tumhe batane ki jarurat nahi hai." She said and about to move forward when his voice stopped her.
"To phir abhi tak aaya kyun nahi wo tumhare peeche, tumhe manane ke liye? Ye jaante huye bhi ki tum ro kar wahan se gayi ho?" He asked in a sympathetic tone.
"Because... Because he's angry with me." She replied, looking here and there.
"Gussa pyar se jyada bada hai?" He asked earning himself a glare from her.
"What do you want, asshole?" Vanya asked directly, hissing at him.
Rocky fisted his hands in anger but kept his voice calm, "I just want to save you... from your so called boyfriend."
"He isn't a so called. You are a bloody bastard." She spat in anger.
"Kya Vanya? Mai yahan tumse dosti karna chaha raha hoon aur tum ho ki... kher chordo." He trailed off.
"Wednesday ko mera birthday hai. Maine ek birthday party organize ki hai, night club me. Mai to yahan tumhe bas usi ka invitation dene aaya tha." He said.
"Why are you inviting me? We aren't even friends." She replied as a matter of fact.
"Dosti nahi hai par dushmani bhi to nahi hai na." He replied smoothly.
She raised her brow, "Adi ko bhi invite kiya hai?" She asked.
"You know everything, Vanya. We are not in good terms." He replied.
"To mai nahi aa sakti." She denied firmly.
"Kab tak uske aage peeche ghumti rahogi, tumhari khud ki life hai enjoy karo. Aur phir ek baar ye college life khatam ho gayi na to wapas nahi aati islie enjoy." He said while noticing her shifted expressions.
"I'll dm you the address and timing." He said and went away before shouting from behind, "Request accept kar lena."
Vanya kept standing there, thinking about his words. She knew Rocky was trying to manipulate her but he was not either wrong. She had her own life and she had every right to enjoy it with or without Aditya.

Abhishek was sitting on the leather chair in his cabin.
His one arm was resting on the polished desk, flexing his biceps and a file was placed in front of him on the desk.
He was turning the pages of it with his other hand.
His gaze was fixed on the file as he was reading it and his fingers were slightly drumming on the desk.
His white shirt's sleeves were rolled up to his lower arms, giving the full view of his veiny hands.
His navy blue coat was hanging behind the head of his chair.
His focus broke when the door of his cabin opened slightly and Sia entered the room. Her heart skipped a beat looking at the man sitting in front of her.
"Hey, nerdy!" He greeted her with a smile.
She walked to him and gave him a side hug, "Kaise ho, tum?" She asked.
"Aate hi aate doctors wale question karne shuru kar diye?" Abhishek teased.
She gently flicked his forehead and settled down in front of him on the chair across the table.
"Puchoge nahi kaise aana hua?" Sia asked, leaning forward.
"Car se. Mujhe pata hai." Abhishek joked.
Sia made a face and gave him a look, "Seriously?" She asked.
"Sorry." He sat up straight, clearing his throat after his flop joke.
"Kaise aana hua, doctor sahiba?" He asked.
"Bas aise hi." Sia replied with a happy shrug.
It was Abhishek's turn to glare at her and she smiled sheepishly in return.
"Sorry hehe." She said with a laugh.
He smiled looking at her laughing face with a shake of his head.
"Aur batao kya chal raha hai?" Sia asked, resting her hands on the desk.
"Dadi bhagao operation chal raha hai." Abhishek replied but instantly clicked his tongue when he realized he was talking to Sia. Bhaiya's chamchi
Sia narrowed her eyes, "What?" She asked with a weird laugh.
"Uh-coffee peeogi na?" He asked to divert her mind.
Sia raised her brow, "Pehle batao ye dadi bhagao operation kya hai?" She asked.
Abhishek picked up the telephone and said, "Two black coffee and a sandwich in my cabin." He ordered before looking at her.
"Mai mazak kar raha tha." He replied.
"Par mujhe hasi nahi aayi." She said, squinting her brows in suspicion.
"Because you're boring." He muttered with a roll of his eyes.
"Haan theek hai par pehle batao ye dadi bhagao operation kya hai warna... warna mai bhaiya se jaa kar puch lungi." She threatened him.
"Aee nahi nahi ruko." He panicked in fear, "Sia, pehle promise karo bhaiya ko nahi bataogi." He forwarded his hand.
She reluctantly placed her hand on his and it was looking perfect together as if their hands were also made for each other like them. She smiled looking at his rough, veiny hand in her soft hand
"Bas ho gaya promise, ab chor do." Abhishek said when she didn't loosened the grip around his hand.
Her cheeks had turned red and she looked down in embarrassment after pulling back her hand.
"To suno." Abhishek said, dragging her out of her dreamland.
"Haan?" She asked.
"Hum logo ne dadi ko ghar se bhagane ke liye ek plan socha hai." He said and she curiously listened to him.
"Jab aaj raat me dadi so jayengi tab hum Sadhwi ko chudail bana kar dadi ko darayenge aur wo dar kar ghar se chali jayengi." He said with the thrill and horror in his voice.
Silence.
A long silence.
"How old are you again?" Sia asked after giving him a look.
Abhishek leaned back and fixed his shirt and expression, "27." He replied, fixing his composure.
"To ye 17 saal ke chichore teenager wale plan kyun bana rahe ho?" She asked in exaggeration.
Abhishek looked away in embarrassment and tried to regain his composurse, "Ye mera nahi Adi ka plan hai." He said.
"And you're helping him in this." She stated.
"Anyways tum teeno ko to aadat ho gayi hai bhaiya se maar khane ki par uss bechari bacchi ko kyun fasa rahe ho?" She asked referring to Sadhwi.
"To tum chudail banne ko taiyar ho?" He asked her seriously.
She glared at him and stood up before whacking his arm.
"Shut up." She told him.
"Arey kahan ja rahi ho? Mai to mazak kar raha tha." He said, getting up from his seat.
"Hospital me bohot kaam hai wo to tumse milne ke liye jaldi jaldi time nikala." She replied with a smile.
Abhishek's heart swelled with happiness as he knew Sia had come to try to lift up his mood and to divert his mind from all the fuss going inside his heart and mind.
He smiled in return and hugged her tightly, "I love you yaar, nerdy." He said and Sia's heart had stopped beating, "You are my beesstt friend." He muttered, breaking her heart again.
The reality stung at her heart, she felt a blow in her chest. The reality was harsh, she was only his best friend nothing more. She blinked back her tears and looked up at him with a smile.
"Jyada emotional hone ki jarurat nahi hai." She said, slapping him back and left the room in a hurry.
She breathed out loud when she came out of the cabin.
Her eyes were stinging with the unshed tears but she didn't let them fall.
She put on a smile on her face and made her way towards Advait's cabin.
She pushed open the door without knocking.
Advait was about to snap but stopped himself after looking at her.
"Tabiyat kaisi hai ab aapki?" She asked, entering the room.
"Tu kaisi hai?" He asked, ignoring her question.
"Maine bhi aap se kuch pucha hai." She said.
She settled down in front of him and looked at him, "Sab theek haina, bhaiya?" She asked gently.
"Sab theek hai, baccha. Tu hum logo ki tension lena band kar de aur thoda apne baare me soch." He told her softly.
"Dono ek hi baat hai, bhaiya. Aap khush rahoge to aapki behen bhi khush rahegi." She replied with a wide smile.
But the pain behind her eyes didn't go unnoticed by Advait. He let out an exhale and asked, "Tia se baat huyi teri?"
"Kis baare me?" She asked, furrowing her brows.
Advait sighed, "Tia nahi chahti ki teri shaadi Abhi se ho aur... ab mai bhi nahi chahta." He told her, shaking her inside.
Sia was taken back by his words. She blinked in confusion, "Matlab?"
"Matlab ye ki mai selfish ho raha tha, Sia. Mai sirf Abhi ke baare me soch raha tha, teri shaadi Abhi se kara ke mai teri zindagi kharab nahi kar sakta." He told her, "Abhi ki haalat dekh kar mujhe lagta nahi hai ki wo phir kabhi kisi se pyar kar payega." He said.
Abhishek was acting differently since that incident.
He acted more childishly in front of Advait and family but for the other people he had became a cold hearted person.
He had stopped talking with his friends or with employees.
He only said something when it was necessary otherwise he kept quiet.
His voice had lose it's natural softness and warmth.
"To mai intezaar karungi na, bhaiya. Mujhe ko jaldi nahi hai... ek saal, do saal... das saal. Mai intezaar karne ke liye taiyar hoon." She replied, her eyes welling up with love for Abhishek.
"Sia...
"Bhaiya, mai Abhi se bohot pyar karti hoon jab Roohanika thi to mai beech me islie nahi aayi kyunki Abhi usse pyar karta tha par ab.
.. ab to mere paas chance hai na ki mai Abhi ko dikha sakun bata sakun ki mai usse kitna pyar karti hoon.
" She said, her eyes started filling up with the tears, "Mai Abhi ko jabardasti apne paas nahi rakhna chahti bas uske saath reh kar usey khush rakhna chahti hoon. "
"Aur teri life ka kya?" Advait asked, "You deserve everything, baccha. You deserve love. Aisa koi ladka jo sirf tujhse pyar kare, Abhi tujhse pyar nahi karta." He said the harsh words.
"Par mai usse pyar karti hoon aur mera pyar kaafi hai hum dono ke liye." She replied firmly.
"Tu apni zindagi barbaad kar rahi hai, Sia. You're a doctor. Stop talking rubbish." He chided gently.
"Mai Abhi ke saath koi jabardasti nahi kar rahi, bhaiya par mujhe poora haq hai mai jisse chahun usse pyar kar sakti hoon.
Mere saath rehna ya na rehna Abhi ki marzi hai.
Par mai apni poori zindagi Abhishek se hi pyar karti rahungi phir chahein wo mujhe mile ya nahi.
.. aur ye meri marzi hai." She said with determination.
"Agar Abhi ne kisi aur se shaadi kar li to?" Advait asked.
Sia gulped down her tears, her throat was burning with the ache, "Meri khushi Abhi ki khushi me hain agar wo kisi aur ke saath khush hai to mai bhi uske liye khush hoon par mujhse usey pyar karne ka haq to mujhse koi nahi le sakta na." She replied. Her tone was filled with the love and devotion.
"Ek tarfa pyar ki taaqat yahi hoti hai, bhaiya... ki usey koi humse cheen nahi sakta." She added and left the room.
Advait looked at her retreating figure and rubbed his hands over his face in exhaustion.
