Chapter 140

Advait was standing in the huge garden, guiding the decorators as per the theme.

Everyone was busy doing arrangements for the haldi and mehendi function.

Shreya was moving from here to there to make everything look perfect and Advait was watching her with an unbelievable look.

She was instructing a staff when Advait approached her with a glass of water.

"Bas madam bas, thoda relax kar lijiye." He told her, handing her the glass.

The staff left from there and she shifted her attention to Advait, "Kya relax kijiye? Aapko pata bhi hai kitna kaam baaki hai aur abhi to koi arrangements bhi nahi huyi hain, dono function aaj hi hain. Kaise hoga sab?" She ranted out in worry.

Advait gently squeezed her arms in a reassuring manner, "Aap kyun itni pareshaan ho rahi hain? Pareshaan hone ke liye abhi aapka pati zinda hai." He said calmly.

Shreya glared at him and slapped his hands away, "Har waqt bakwas karte raha kariye aap." She said, turning away.

Advait wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, "Theek hai, nahi karta bakwas." He said, "Apni biwi ko pyar to kar sakta hoon na?" He asked innocently.

She rolled her eyes, getting out of his hold, "Nahi." She said, crossing her arms over her chest.

Advait narrowed his eyes at her but she quickly spoke up again, "Accha suniye?"

"Ji sunaiye?" Advait replied softly, leaning forward to her height.

"Aapne Abhi se baat ki?" She asked.

"Nahi." He replied.

"Naraaz hai wo aapse?" She further asked.

"Baat to kar raha hai." Advait replied, "Par jabardasti karne ke liye thoda naraaz to hai hi." He said with a sigh.

"Maan jayega wo, Sia se shaadi karne ke baad usey kabhi aapke decision par regret nahi hoga. Wo khud samajh jayega aapne jo kuch bhi kiya uski bhalai ke liye kiya." She said with a small smile on his face.

Advait nodded his head, "Kaash, aisa hi ho." He replied, "Maine Abhi ki khushi ke liye Sia ki zindagi dao par lagayi hai agar kuch bhi galat hua na to mai khud ko kabhi maaf nahi kar paunga."

Advait and Shreya snapped their heads to the direction when a voice reached their ears, "Aap phir se ye sab sochne baith gaye?"

Sia stood in front of Advait, keeping her hands on the waist, "Aapko mana kiya haina stress lene ke liye aur aap faltu baaton ka stress le kar baithe hain." Sia scolded.

Advait narrowed his eyes at her audacity and Shreya tried to hide her giggle.

"Bada bhai hoon tera, mujhe mat seekha." Advait chided.

"Abhi aapse aapki choti behen nahi, Dr. Sia Kapoor baat kar rahi hai aur aapko Dr. ki baatein sunni padegi." She retorted with a smirk.

"Oh! so Dr. Sia Kapoor, let me tell you one thing very clearly. Advait Malhotra doesn't take orders from anyone." He replied with a tight lipped smile.

"Bhaiyaaa!" She whined.

He chuckled, "Kyun khel liya doctor doctor?" He teased.

"Nahi khelna mujhe." She pouted.

"Shaadi hone wali hai tumhari ab to badi ho jao." Shreya spoke up.

Sia turned towards her before joining her hands dramatically, "Jo hukum, jethani ji." She said with a laugh earning herself a little whack on her head.

Sia took a sigh of relief before shifting her attention back to Advait.

She looked up at him with serious looking face, "Bhaiya, aapko Abhi ki ya meri tension lene ki koi jarurat nahi hai.

Mai usey humesha khush rakhungi aur wo bhi mujhe Saari khushiyaan dega.

Aur rahi baat jabardasti ki shaadi ki to aapne mujhe force nahi kiya hai, bhaiya.

Mai khud apni marzi se Abhi ke saath shaadi kar rahi hoon aur mai iss rishte ke saath aane wali saari mushkilon ka saamna karne ke liye taiyaar hoon.

" She said with determination in her voice.

Advait smiled at her but her love filled eyes scared him to the core. Shreya pulled her in a comforting hug, Sia wrapped her arms around her.

Advait was looking at them when his phone pinged with a notification.

He opened his phone and a tensed frown settled on his face looking at the notification.

He quickly made his way inside before excusing himself and walked to Aditya's room.

The door was already opened and Aditya and Vanya were standing inside with tensed faces.

"Tum dono ka result aa gaya hai. Check karo." Advait told them.

Aditya and Vanya exchanged a nervous look before nodding their heads. Aditya pulled out his laptop and opened the site to check his results.

"Itna dar kyun rahe ho dono?" Advait asked.

"Unhe pata haina unhone exams me kya gul khilaye hain." Reyansh said, entering the room.

Vanya pouted but Aditya didn't look up.

"Adi, pehle mera result check kar." Vanya spoke up, looking at his scared face.

He barely nodded and entered Vanya's roll number with the other details. The page opened, the moment of silence and Vanya jumped up in joy. Reyansh and Advait relaxed a bit looking at her smiling face.

"Result accha aaya? Mujhe dikha." Reyansh said.

"Bohot mast aaya, bhai. Mujhe laga tha saare subjects me fail ho jaungi par bas ek subject me fail huyi hoon." She said excitedly.

Reyansh glared at her sternly but she was busy grinning. Aditya glanced at her unbelievably then looked at Advait who was already staring at him.

"Ek subject me back aayi hai teri, Vani." Reyansh said firmly.

"Chill bhai, next chance me cover kar lungi." She said in a chill tone.

Reyansh shook his head at her incredulously.

"Apna result check kar, Adi." Advait ordered.

"Ji bhaiya." Aditya muttered and leaned down to type his details. His fingers were fumbling over the keys.

The page had finally opened and Aditya's face turned pale. He had failed in one subject, he knew it was going to happen but there was a little hope in his heart and it got shattered looking at the result. He was always a topper and had never failed in exams but this time it had happened.

"Kya result aaya hai?" Advait's voice reached to his ears, dragging him out of his shock.

Aditya stood up straight, "Bhaiya wo...uh ek...ek subject me... wo..." He was mumbling, looking down at the floor.

Advait pointed a glare at him before picking up the laptop from the table. He looked over the result and glanced at Aditya who was looking down in fear.

"Ek subject me fail hai tu." Advait stated.

Aditya was looking down so Vanya spoke up, "Koi baat nahi, bhaiya. Ek subject hi to hai Adi cover kar lega."

Advait fixed her with a glare, shrinking her on the place.

"Jaane de, Advait. Kabhi kabhi ho jata hai. Ab se padhai par jyada dhyan dega wo." Reyansh said to prevent Aditya from scolding.

Advait took a deep breath but didn't say anything. Reyansh held Vanya's hand and walked out of the room, taking her with himself, leaving them alone.

"Bhaiya, sorry." Aditya whispered.

"Padhai nahi ki thi?" Advait asked firmly.

Aditya didn't reply.

"Kuch puch raha hoon mai, Adi." Advait voice turned stern but he softened looking at his scared face, "Kya hua baccha, koi problem hai?" He asked softly.

Aditya was still silent.

"Subject me difficulty hai ya aur koi baat?" Advait further asked.

This time Aditya shook his head meekly.

"Phir kya hua?" Advait asked.

"Mera dhyan nahi tha, bhaiya. Meri galati hai. I'm sorry." He said in a low voice.

"Dhyan kahan tha phir? Aaj se pehle to kabhi aisa nahi hua." Advait asked.

Aditya was silent, so Advait sat down on the couch and placed the laptop on his lap. He looked over the result and glanced at Aditya who was still silent.

"Baaki subjects me bhi barely pass hai tu, Adi." He spoke up, "I want an valid answer." He commanded.

"Maine padhai nahi ki thi, bhaiya." He whispered meekly.

"Kyun?" Advait's voice turned stern, "Jyada overconfidence hai? Agar mai results ke liye kuch kehta nahi hoon to ye marks laoge tum log?" He scolded.

Aditya was looking down with a small face.

"What's so interesting on the floor?" Advait snapped at him, "Look at me when I'm talking." He ordered.

Aditya meekly looked up at him making Advait sighed looking at his small face, "Agar koi problem hai to mujhe bata, mai solve karunga par mai iss baat ko yun hi nahi jaane de sakta. Mujhe reason chahiye, ye aisa result kyun aaya hai?" His tone was firm and there was a warning in his voice.

"Koi problem nahi hai, bhaiya. Maine padhai nahi ki thi." Aditya accepted his fault.

"Kyun nahi ki thi padhai?" Advait glared at his soul, "Maar maar kar padhai karwani padegi bachpan ki tarah?" He asked strictly.

"Sorry." He whispered in guilt.

Advait studied him for a good minute before sighing heavily, "Ab se tu Vani se door rahega." He said.

Aditya snapped up his head, looking at him unbelievably, "Bha...

"Shut up." Advait snapped, "Abhi tak tere muh me tape laga hua tha aur ab turant muh khul gaya?" He taunted.

"Maine pehle hi kaha tha Adi, tera aur Vani ka relationship tum dono ki padhai ko affect nahi karna chahiye but clearly ye cheez tumhari padhai ko affect kar rahi hai and I won't let that happen.

" Advait said, "Jab tak Abhi ki shaadi nahi ho jati tab tak theek hai magar uske baad mujhe tu Vani ke aas paas bhi bhatakta hua nahi dikhna chahiye.

Career banane ki umar hai pehle wo banao phir ye sab karna.

" Advait's voice brook no room for argument.

Aditya nodded weakly, "Ji bhaiya." He replied in a low voice.

Abhishek and Sia, the couple was sitting on their respective place in a huge metal tubs, filled with water and rose petals.

Sia was sitting in a yellow simple saree paired with the floral jewelry.

She was looking elegantly beautiful in her simple outfit.

Abhishek was wearing a plain yellow kurta, fitting perfectly on his body.

Everyone was wearing yellow and white outfits to match with the theme.

The moment was precious and wholesome to capture.

Tia applied haldi to Sia and the tears rushed into her eyes, "Aise hi humesha khush reh." She blessed her making Sia smiled.

Advait applied haldi to Abhishek who passed him a small smile in return, "Naraaz hai?" Advait asked in a low voice.

Abhishek hugged him tightly, shaking his head, "I trust you, bhaiya." He mumbled against his shoulder, "Apni zindagi ke itne bade hisse ki shuruaat apne bhaiya se naraaz ho kar kaise kar sakta hoon?" He said.

Angad was looking at them from afar with distant eyes. It was like he was craving this moment, his eyes held longings. He too wanted to hug his son and wished him luck for the new beginning of his life but he was paying for the consequences of his own actions.

On the other hand, Vanya dragged Aditya to a corner out of everyone's sight.

Aditya was silently walking, letting her drag himself with her.

She pressed him to a wall and mischievously placed her hand in front of him.

Her palm was covered with the haldi and before Aditya could say or ask anything, she applied the haldi on his cheek taking him by surprise.

She looked into his eyes making him drown into hers.

She leaned forward and slowly but intensely touched his cheek with hers to apply haldi on her cheek too.

Aditya smiled at her little act, she moved back with a teasing smile on her face.

Aditya smirked and wrapped his arm around her waist, he leaned forward.

Their faces were inches apart, his hot breath was brushing past her lips.

Her eyes were closed in anticipation, Aditya leaned forward.

His lips were about to touch hers when he remembered Advait's words and moved back abruptly.

He stood up straight, confusing Vanya by the sudden change in his behavior.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Nothing." He said, looking away.

"Then why did you stop? Go ahead, kiss me." She said with a slight irritation.

Aditya looked around here and there, "Wo uh.. bhaiya mujhe bula rahe the. Mai bhool gaya." He said and walked away from there, leaving Vanya alone.

Vanya looked at his retreating figure with a frown between her brows. She was feeling strange and slightly irritated by his behavior.

At night, the Sia was sitting in the middle on the couch and ladies were gathered around her.

The henna artists were applying henna on her hands and legs and she was feeling happy yet tired.

Her back was throbbing badly from sitting for a long time.

Abhishek was noticing her from a distance with an unknown smile on his face.

He noticed her distressed face and how she was feeling difficulty in sitting.

He picked up a cushion and walked to her side before gently putting the cushion behind her back.

She felt a little relief and looked back at the person but her small smile changed into a wide grin looking at the Abhishek doing this little thing for her.

She shifted on her place to adjust on the cushion.

She kept looking at Abhishek who was staring at the design of henna on her hands.

"Kya name likhna hai?" The henna artist asked.

Sia's trance broke and she looked back at the henna artist but before she could reply Abhishek spoke up, "Abhishek." He said proudly, "I'm her husband-to-be."

Sia's heart skipped a beat listening to the word 'husband' coming out of his mouth. The henna artist smiled and wrote down his name on Sia's hand. Sia beamed in joy looking at his name on her hand, finally she has written her childhood love in her fate's lines.

On the other side of the garden, Advait was sitting taking a plate of food in his hand.

A spoon filled with rice was lifted up in the air and he was patiently waiting.

In front of him, Shreya was sitting with her hands covered with the designed beautiful henna.

She was slowly chewing on the food and enjoying getting feed from her husband's hands.

Advait was looking like an epitome of patience, his eyes were filled with the love and face was like a saint when he was feeding his wife.

Shreya was also testing his patience, deliberately chewing slowly but he was not bothered at all.

"Kya baat hai, Mr. Malhotra. Itne patience kab se aa gaye aap me?" She teased playfully.

Advait chuckled heartily, "Only for my wife." He replied before passing a morsel in front of her mouth.

Sia smiled with gratitude, "You know, you are the best husband in the world." She said, pressing the words.

"And you're mine." Advait muttered while wiping off the curry from the corner of her lip with his thumb before licking it casually.

Arush was looking all of this from a distance and an idea popped up in his mind. He quickly made his way towards Sadhwi with a food plate in his hand. He stopped in front of her and she was sitting down, patiently waiting for her henna to get dry.

"Sadhwi, tumhe bhook lagi hogi na?" He asked hopefully, "Par tum khana kaise khaogi? Tumhare hathon me to mehendi lagi hai. Ruko mai tumhe khila deta hoon." He quickly said not giving her a chance to speak.

"Par mujhe bhook nahi lagi hai." Sadhwi replied.

Arush pouted, "Arey aise kaise bhook nahi lagi? Tumhe bhook lagi hai bas tumhe pata nahi hai ki tumhe bhook lagi hai." He said and started making a morsel.

Sadhwi looked at him in utter confusion, "Kya bolna chahte ho tum?" She asked with a frown.

"Yahi ki tumhe bhook lagi hai aur tumhe khana khana padega." He said stubbornly.

"Arey ye kya jabardasti hai? Mujhe nahi khana kuch bhi." She replied in the same tone.

"Kyun nahi khana?" He pouted.

"Meri marzi." She replied with a shrug.

"Nahi, tumhe khana hi padega." Arush forced her.

She took a deep breath before making a morsel and having that. Arush looked at her with a disheartened heart, he started sulking.

"Lo kha liya bas." She said.

"Par tumhari mehendi?" He asked, pointing at her hands.

"Wo sookh chuki hai." She said and walked away from there but not before giving a weird look to Arush.

He was standing with a sulking face looking at Sadhwi's disappearing figure when Abhishek approached him.

"Accha hua, tu mil gaya. Mere hathon me mehendi lagi hai. Mujhe khana khila dena." Abhishek said.

Arush looked at him making a face before shoving the morsel in his mouth which he had made for Sadhwi, "Kismat hi kharab hai meri." He mumbled while feeding him.
