Chapter 29 #2

I arch my body against his face, seeking more.

Wanting to end this immense longing after just one day apart.

My husband seems to hear my thoughts—or maybe shares the same urgency—because he doesn’t linger.

He trails kisses down my belly, licking a path and biting the side of my hip before pulling my leggings and panties down my legs in one swift movement.

I’m completely wet, aching for Maksim, who’s still dressed but wonderfully rumpled.

But before returning to the kisses that would lead between my legs, he stops.

He lowers his head and kisses my right knee once more.

The scar. The raised, pale mark from all the surgeries—the physical proof of what Demidov ordered done to me.

This kiss is calmer, slower, and softer than the others. It feels like a promise, and when he raises his eyes to me, they’re dark and dangerous.

“I’m going to make him pay.”

The promise of violence should scare me, but it only makes me more aroused. This man, my husband, would burn the world for me, and there’s nothing more intense and devastating than that.

Without waiting any longer, his large hands spread my thighs, leaving me open and ready—all he has to do is lower his head. And that’s exactly what he does. Maksim runs his tongue over me, drawing shivers and sighs from my lips.

He closes his lips over my clit and sucks, alternating between slow and fast until my eyes roll back. I lift my hips, seeking more, but his large forearm crosses over my belly, pinning me in place.

Maksim makes me match his maddening rhythm. He slides two fingers inside me and curls them, finding that spot he already knows makes me fall apart.

“Maks...” I call out, my voice barely a whisper. “I don’t want to come like this. I want you.”

He lifts his head, his chin slick and glistening with my arousal. It’s so sexy and so ridiculously beautiful that I don’t even mind the sweet torture.

“You come as many times as I want, Solnyshko.”

And then his mouth is back on me.

I come on the ballet studio floor twice before he finally decides it’s enough and pulls away. He stands, strips off his shirt, pants, and underwear, letting me watch him for just a second before pulling me to my feet.

Maksim attacks my mouth again, and before I know it, I’m in his lap, my legs wrapped around his waist. He moves quickly, trailing kisses down my neck until I feel the cold mirror against my back and the barre beneath my ass.

“Look at me,” he grunts as he guides his cock to my entrance, teasing the head along my slick folds. “I want your eyes on me when I’m burying myself inside you, understand?”

I nod quickly, too eager to feel him completely inside me.

Maksim’s cock fills me all at once and I lose my breath.

He’s big and thick and there’s always that stretch at first, but I’ve learned to like it.

No, I’ve learned to crave it. The way he fills me completely, claiming every inch of me, knowing exactly how to hit all the right spots.

I look into his eyes like he commanded, and I can see the same desire in him, the same overwhelming pleasure I feel.

“Fuck, Solnyshko. You’re so tight.”

Then he starts to move, driving into me fast and deep, drawing sighs and moans from my lips.

For a second, I feel him go completely still inside me.

When I open my eyes, I see Maksim gazing at me.

He presses his forehead to mine, bringing us so close we’re breathing the same air.

My chest tightens as I realize this is the most intimate moment I’ve ever shared with him.

“Solnyshko.” His voice is barely a whisper, and his hips begin moving slowly again. “Forgive me.”

I bring my hands to his face, letting my fingers caress both his smooth cheek and his scar. Appreciating every part of him, all of him, knowing he’s all mine.

“I already forgave you.”

A hard thrust follows, and Maksim’s head drops to my shoulder. I hear him groan against my ear. He fucks me like it’s the last thing he’ll ever do, like I could disappear at any moment and he needs to savor every second. His strong hands grip my thighs and the rhythm builds. I’m almost at the edge.

“Come for me, like a good girl.”

This time I don’t need anything else. Just the sound of his husky voice commanding me is enough to send me over the edge. When I come for the third time, Maksim follows right after, my name torn from his throat in a growl as he spills deep inside me.

We stay there for a while, both sweaty and panting, neither of us willing to move. I throw my arms around his neck as his circle my waist in a tight, intimate embrace, our breathing slowing in unison. I trace my finger absently over the eagle tattoo on his back and let my mind finally stop racing.

Queen of the Bratva.

The title rushes back, stubborn, insisting on echoing in my mind. I didn’t say anything, and I don’t think I need to now, but I’m not sure this crown fits me.

Maksim expects too much from me. I don’t know if I can be who he wants.

I scold myself immediately. I’m the woman who became prima ballerina of the world’s largest dance company at eighteen. I lost everything at twenty-one, and when I thought I had nothing left, I managed to reinvent myself.

I entered this marriage sold off and without a choice, but today, in my mafia husband’s arms, I realize that when I chose to stay, I ended up finding my family.

Maybe the Bratva crown doesn’t fit me now, but one day, I’ll wear it with pride, head held high.
