T he taxi driver pulls right up to the main doors of Caesars Palace and after swiping my card I get out and extend a hand that Trinia reluctantly takes. A shy smile tugs at her lips as I kiss her fingers before guiding her inside.

Stopping an employee I ask in a whisper so Trinia doesn’t overhear where I can find the store I’m looking for. The older gentleman points straight ahead and tells me to veer to the left when we pass the steak house.

Nodding, I tug Trin along with me as I weave through the crowded casino floor following the man’s directions. Once we make our way left I see exactly what brought us here. A jewelry shop gleams with bright lights and twinkling diamonds just up ahead.

Trinia stumbles over her boots as she looks from the jewelry store to me and back to the store. I pull her along as I pick up the pace. Feeling like I need to put a ring on her finger now before she changes her mind.

“You want to buy the ring right now?” She leans over lowering her voice as we enter the store.

“There’s no time like the present.”

“I just agreed to marry you, we don’t need a ring right this second.”

“Well technically I should have had the ring before you agreed to marry me but we skipped that step so here we are.” I wink at her as I guide her over to a display counter.

A gentleman in a pressed suit and shiny black hair comes over to stand in front of us behind the counter. “Is there anything I can help you find today?”

“We are looking for a set of wedding rings.” I answer the man and I can feel Trinia’s stare burning into the side of my face.

The man behind the counter turns his attention to Trinia, smiling down at her, “Of course. Would you mind showing me your engagement ring, miss? I’m sure we can find something that pairs perfectly.”

“We will be needing the whole set.” I add, and the man’s eyes gleam. Surely at the possibility of the unexpected commission.

“Well! How delightful. You came to the right place. How long have you two been engaged?”

“Almost fifteen minutes now.” I hear Trinia nearly choke next to me before she slams a hand to my chest.

After correcting me she confesses to the man that we are high school sweethearts but I went away to the Army and she headed south for university and we recently found our way back to each other.

A very over simplified version of our history. I think how wholesome it sounds outside of our memories when she’s sharing it with a stranger.

The man swoons over her fairy tale retelling as he leans over the glass display and starts asking her questions about cuts and styles.

“Hmmm. I honestly don’t really know. I’ve never thought too much about getting married. What do you like?” Trinia asks the man and he takes a few steps down the display before pulling out a ring of keys from his pocket and unlocking the cabinet. He reaches in for a velvet square that holds nearly a dozen different rings and places it on the counter before pulling out the one in the top right corner.

“Personally, this is one of my favorites and the ring that came to mind when you told me your story.” He twists the ring in his fingers to show us the side of the band. “You see how the band twists and weaves but it comes back together to hold up the stone. It’s a lot like the two of you, no?” He smiles as he reaches for Trinia’s hand and slides the ring on her finger.

She holds her hand up and looks at it through the lamp light at the corner of the counter. Barely breathing, she is so still I start to wonder if she may be in shock.

“Trin? Baby?” I whisper as I place a hand on the small of her back. Her gaze whips to mine and her eyes glisten with unshed tears.

“It’s beautiful.” Her soft voice breaks as she flings her arms around my neck. Stepping back she shows the ring to me, “don’t you think so?”

“I do.”

I step away, knowing she is in good hands when she and the jeweler start discussing sizing and cuts. I make my way over to the mens case and search for a band I wouldn’t mind wearing for the rest of my life and then some.

I spot a black titanium ring with a braided pattern that’s similar to the band of Trinia’s. I make eye contact with a woman wearing a jewelry store name tag and point to the ring.

She takes it out and I slide it on. It’s a snug fit but she reaches below the case and pulls out the same ring in a larger size. I spin the ring with my thumb and it feels right. Like this ring was always meant to be on my finger.

“May I?” I ask the woman as I gesture towards my fiancé.

“Of course sir.” She smiles and I walk back across the showroom.

“What do you think?” I hold up the ring between my fingers and Trinia takes it. She spins it around, smiling before she slides it back on my finger.

Holding out her left hand she grins, “We match.”

She is now wearing a smaller band that fits the size of her delicate finger much better than the ring before as a wedding band with alternating black and white diamonds around it rests on top.

I smile down at her as she scrunches her nose up at me before I remind her, “It must be fate.”

She holds my face as she plants a kiss on my lips and the cool touch of metal on my cheek sends a shiver down my spine. My cock certainly likes the feel of that ring on her finger.

I lean in and whisper in her ear, “let’s get it and see how good that ring looks on your finger with your hand wrapped around my cock as I fuck your pretty little mouth.”

She gasps as her cheeks flush. Without looking away from me she blurts out, “We’ll take it.”
