Chapter 32 #2

I keep thrusting deep inside of her, bare and steady, reaching between us to circle her clit to get her there.

“Are you going to come on my cock for me, beautiful?”

“Oh God.” She pants. “Wes—”

She’s close.

Thank fucking lord.

My balls have drawn up and I am painfully close to coming. So close, my heart is beating outside of my chest, but there’s no way I’m coming before she does.

“Gimme what I want. Come for me, baby.”

I thrust into her again, the force so hard that she cries out my name in pleasure and that’s all it takes for me to find my own climax.

My body tightens as I thrust into her one last time as deep, guttural groans rip through me.

I keep pumping my hips as I shoot deep inside of her, trying to hold on to this feeling for as long as possible.

If it weren’t for the tremor running through my body, I’d swear I died and gone somewhere better.

Our breathing is the only sound filling the room when I reluctantly pull out of her then tighten my arms around her and pull her back into my chest, unwilling to have even an inch of space between us.

This time she’s not going anywhere. She isn’t slipping away or getting up before the sheets have had a chance to cool.

It’s not happening if I have anything to say about it.

I nip at her shoulder with my teeth. “Why is it like that with us?”

“I think we’ve been circling each other for a long time.”

I chuckle. “I think you’re right.”

The words linger between us, neither of us saying anything for a while. I wonder if she’s thinking the same thing I’m thinking. What happens now?

“I wanted to take my time with you, but I wanted you too damn much. Thankfully we have two more days,” I murmur against her shoulder. “There’s so much more I want to do to you.”

She turns in my arms so she’s facing me. “I might need a recovery day between rounds if this is what sex is like with you.”

I chuckle, kissing the tip of her nose. “I will always fuck my wife the way she deserves.”

She presses a kiss to my chest while I catch my breath, combing my fingers gently through her hair I’ve never come like that before. So hard, I forgot where I was or who I was and everything that exists outside of this room. She does that to me.

I look at her. She’s lying on her side looking calm and serene, eyes half-lidded like she’s sated and still floating. I reach up and trace her eyebrows, then the slope of her nose, then her top lip. She smiles.

My hand drifts lower, settling over the center of her chest. I leave it there and lean forward to press a gentle kiss to her mouth. When I break the kiss, she’s watching me and I hold her gaze.

I think she knows what I’m asking before I even say the words because her eyes flick down to where my hand is resting on the center of her chest before finding mine again. I can feel her pulse thumping a staccato rhythm under my palm.

I hate that she feels like she needs to hide herself from me when I want every version of her—the fearless woman who lights up every room she walks into and the vulnerable one lying beside me now.

Lottie gives me the smallest nod, and something in my chest loosens knowing that she’s finally trusting me enough to stop hiding it.

Slowly, she shifts to her back and lifts her arms. Without rushing, I move my hand lower to the hem of her shirt, my eyes never leaving hers, and begin to ease the fabric up over her head. When it’s off, I set the shirt on the bed next to us.

She’s watching me with a vulnerability I’ve never witnessed before, her breathing shallow and her shoulders a little tense, as though she’s bracing herself for the moment my expression changes.

It doesn’t. All I see is Lottie. The woman who’s somehow stitched my own fractured heart back together.

My fingertips hover for a moment before I ask. “Can I?”

She swallows and nods.

I trace the edge of the scar with the gentlest touch I can manage, terrified of mishandling something so precious.

She goes motionless, closing her eyes, chest rising and falling before she takes a deep, steadying breath and her body starts to unclench.

Her eyes open and she watches my hand as I very softly stroke my finger along her mottled skin.

A pale, silvery scar begins just beneath her collarbone and sweeps downward in a gentle curve over the left side of her chest. Time has softened its edges, but the skin is slightly lighter than the rest of her body, a quiet reminder of a battle her body fought long before I knew her.

It’s part of the woman I think I’m falling hopelessly in love with.

The truth settles over me with startling clarity. I think I’m falling in love with Lottie Hart. Every stubborn, sunshine-filled, fiercely loyal beautiful piece of her.

“You know there’s nothing about you I don’t like, right? You never have to hide from me, Lottie.” I lean forward in slow motion, and my lips make contact with her scar.

I flick my eyes to hers. “Is that okay?”

She slowly nods with wet eyes. “You don’t have to, but… it’s okay.”

Frowning, my thumb brushes over the thickest part of her scar. “I like touching you, Lottie. I want to touch you everywhere. I always want to.”

She nods. “Okay.”

Her palm latches onto the nape of my neck, murmuring my name like a song. “Wes…”

I know that she sees her scar as something that needs to be hidden.

But she’s wrong. I look at it and see proof that she’s the strongest person I know.

Proof that she survived. But one conversation isn’t going to undo years of believing otherwise so I’m not going to try to convince her of that tonight.

I move my attention to her pretty little tits, my thumb gently circling the pale pink skin around her nipple.

Now that I’ve seen her breasts, I can’t get enough.

I’m captivated by them. I suck one stiff peak into my mouth and her back bows off the bed.

She’s beautiful like this for me. The fact that she trusts me enough to put my mouth on her body still doesn’t feel real.

“Wes.” Her fingers grip the short strands of my hair. “No one has ever touched me there.”

I go still for a second, letting that sink in. She’s trusting me with a part of herself she’s kept guarded from everyone else. And fuck, it’s a privilege I don’t take lightly.

I comb my fingers through her hair, kissing her over and over. There’s nothing rushed about this. Every touch is gentle. Every kiss deliberate.

My dick twitches between us, seeing her kiss-bitten skin, knowing I’ve come inside her. I can’t believe I’m already ready to go another round. How will I ever live without this girl? I’ve already lost so fucking much, I don’t know how to lose one more thing.

Lottie has trusted me with the parts of herself she’s spent years trying to hide. I only hope I can make her feel even a fraction as safe as she makes me feel.

Carefully, I guide her onto her side, my movements slow and unhurried as I lift her leg and slide my already hard cock into her from behind. I lower my mouth to her shoulder, planting lingering, wet kisses to her skin.

We both come again minutes later.
