The Mothman's Halloween Bond

Lucia Atropa tends the most dangerous garden in Pumpkin Hollow, a witch whose every word twists in the ears of anyone who hears it.

After she spoke out against her family's patenting of folk remedies, they answered with that curse, and she keeps to her night-blooming flowers while loneliness closes in.

Hawk Acheron only handles deliveries, a mothman with wings who keeps moving for reasons he will not explain.

During one stop, a broken Moon Queen dusts them both with pollen, so he can feel everything Lucia feels, and they remain bound until Halloween.

The counter-spell will release them only if both truly want the bond broken.

For a witch betrayed by everyone she trusted and a mothman who has always looked after others, that choice is more frightening than the holiday around them.
