Cassidy should get to take it easy; instead, she gets town by-laws that say humans can’t stay unless they’re legally connected to a supernatural creature, and the mayor trying to give away her house.

Finn won’t let them kick Cassidy out of town. Finn is a giant gargoyle, the reclusive town artist, and Cassidy’s neighbor, and he’s watched her give everything to raise Georgia.

He refuses to let the town throw her out, so he hatches a plan: if they’re married, Cassidy will be able to stay and keep her house. It starts as a marriage of convenience.

One legally binding ceremony, and they should be all set. But the town’s doubt forces them to put on an act, and soon enough, things start feeling a lot more real…
