When Jake taps the bike’s helmet three times, it means I love you. So he freaked out after doing that the first time Madelaine got on his bike.
Jake didn’t forget about the last thing on the Never list, so he dared Madelaine to get a guy’s number at a random party. She couldn’t care less about that, but he still loved to see his job as her hype man accomplished.
Jake called and apologized to every girl he hurt, including Amanda.
Their wedding song was Photograph by Ed Sheeran, but they didn’t forget about Adore You. They slow danced to it in the kitchen all the time.
Madelaine and Jake had five children, all named after fictional characters, except one, in which Madelaine tricked Jake.
The names are, from eldest to youngest, Luke (Skywalker from Star Wars), Charlie (Weasley from Harry Potter), Lily (Evans from Harry Potter), Louis (Tomlinson from One Direction or Jake’s middle name), and Peter (Parker from Spider-Man)
Madelaine only truly stopped resenting her mom when she held Luke for the first time.
Jake went on to become a successful singer and songwriter, being credited on a lot of hits, including for his cousin.
Jake got to sell out arenas and stadiums, but no matter which stage he played, he always did an acoustic performance of Golden Eyes, the first song he ever wrote, also about Madelaine.
John found company and a different type of love in one of his sister’s friends, Julie, also a widow. He still visited Sky every year.
Sky was a History teacher, and Lindsey followed in her footsteps, becoming a Biology teacher instead, but that’s another story…
Yes, Riden eventually got the girl (Allison).
Madelaine owns two bookshops, one in Pennsylvania — where she and Jake settled down — and one that used to be Ms. Patty’s library, which she inherited.
