Chapter Two #3
Callie slowly sat across Ryan’s lap, and he smiled at her.
She kissed him and could feel him getting hard beneath her.
He had no shyness as his hands went to her breasts and intensified the kiss.
Callie moaned into his mouth, and she could feel him smile again.
His hands continued to explore her, often resting on her hips and pulling her hard against him.
The alcohol was having its maximum influence, and Callie suddenly wanted Ryan; she didn’t care who was watching.
She carefully slipped off her panties as he opened his pants.
Neither of them was ready to get fully undressed in front of the room, and Callie’s dress hid Ryan’s access, but there was no mistaking what they were doing.
With his hands on her hips, Ryan guided Callie up and down as he throbbed.
They didn’t break their kiss as they continued, and the rest of the room disappeared for Callie.
She continued to ride Ryan, and he leaned back and groaned as he got close.
She was close too, and started to move faster to intensify her own pleasure.
Only a few more thrusts, and they were both shuddering in their climax.
He held her tightly on his lap as they recovered, and he kissed her again.
Eventually, she moved off him, they straightened their clothing, and he pulled her close to hold her.
She then looked across the room and saw that Edward had been watching them.
She glanced at Ryan and noticed he was holding Edward’s stare with a smirk.
Callie realized what had just happened. Ryan had sent Edward a clear message that she was his.
“What was that?” Callie challenged as they returned to Ryan’s house after the party.
“What?” he asked, confused by her sudden outburst.
Callie was furious. She hadn’t objected to what they had done at the party, but she wouldn’t have gone along with it if she had understood Ryan’s motives. If Ryan had insecurities, he needed to talk about them, not just fuck his way through them.
“I honestly don’t know what you’re upset about,” he said.
“You don’t?” Callie said, raising her voice. She was still very drunk, but she knew she had a right to be angry. He was drunk too and ready to be defensive. “Are you going to need to fuck me in front of every guy I’ve ever been with to get rid of your insecurities?”
“Just the ones that throw it back in my face,” Ryan replied, growing angry as well.
“You planned that,” Callie accused.
“You’re the one who climbed onto my lap,” Ryan said.
He regretted it the moment he said it and tried to apologize, but Callie was already in motion, slapping him across the face. He stepped back, stunned, and looked at her. She felt guilty for hitting him, but she was still furious.
“I didn’t mean that,” he said after a moment. “I’m sorry.”
“Maybe you still need to work on not being an ass,” Callie replied.
“We’re both drunk,” Ryan pointed out. “I think we should just go to bed before we say something we’ll really regret.” He grabbed his overnight bag and headed out of the room.
“Where are you going?” Callie protested.
“There are twelve bedrooms in this house,” Ryan replied. “I’ll be in any one of them but this one.”
Callie woke with a killer headache. When she realized she was alone, she remembered why.
She tried not to cry and stifled a sob. She sat up, intending to find Advil and coffee, but froze.
Ryan entered the room with a tray and approached the bed.
He handed her water and Advil, then offered her a choice of coffee or a smoothie.
She wasn’t sure she could stomach either, but she reached for the coffee.
“I’m sorry,” he said, sitting on the bed beside her. “I was an ass.”
“I’m sorry I hit you,” she replied.
“We were drunk,” he said. “And we were acting stupid.”
“No,” Callie protested. She wasn’t going to let him off the hook. “You can’t use that excuse. You had that planned early in the evening. You practically admitted it when you said Annie told you about the room.”
“Wow, we really do need to send you to law school,” Ryan joked, but Callie grew more frustrated.
“Ryan, what’s going on with you?” Callie asked. “You need to talk to me before this really starts to affect our relationship.”
“Talk about what?” Ryan said defensively. “That I don’t like the idea of you having sex with Edward? I didn’t plan to do that in front of him. Yes, I was intrigued by what was happening in that room, but I didn’t plan for Edward to see us. Though I’ll admit, I’m glad he did.”
“Not just that, and you know it,” Callie shot back.
“I really don’t want to discuss that,” he replied sharply.
“You have to,” Callie insisted. “You know we did nothing wrong. And there is nothing wrong with us enjoying what we did or even doing it again.”
“Is that it?” Ryan said angrily. “Do you want my permission to be with Damian again?”
“No!” Callie yelled, frustrated. “I want to understand what you felt that night and whether you are or aren’t OK.”
“I told you I’m not ready to talk about it. You need to stop pushing me on this,” Ryan said. He started to get up from the bed to leave the room. “Please just give me a little space and stop pushing me!”
“Fine then,” Callie yelled back, getting out of bed. She pulled on her jeans and T-shirt and started stuffing her things back into her suitcase. “This is your place. You stay. I’m leaving so you can have your space.”
She grabbed her things and started downstairs. Ryan followed her but said nothing. She wanted him to call her bluff and tell her to stay. Then they saw Marco in the foyer. Their fight had drawn his attention. Before she could speak, Ryan addressed Marco.
“Marco, Callie wishes to return to the city,” Ryan said coldly. “Please take her back.”
Callie turned to stare at Ryan. Even though she had said she wanted to leave, it was one thing to threaten it and another for Ryan to let her go and even arrange transportation.
Tears filled her eyes as she stared at him, but he didn’t say anything further.
He was waiting for her to object and change her mind.
But Callie was too stubborn to back down.
Marco stood, waiting for one of them to speak, shaking his head subtly at Ryan, silently warning him not to let her go.
“Fine,” Callie said after a long, painfully awkward silence. “Yes, Marco, please take me back.”
“You shouldn’t have pushed it,” Damian said.
Callie had asked Damian to meet. He agreed but suggested meeting at the coffee shop again rather than at her apartment. Callie figured it was likely for the best, since she wasn’t sure whether Ryan still had Marco watching for Damian to visit.
“And I’m just supposed to pretend that night never happened?” Callie challenged.
“If that’s what he wants and you want to stay with him, yeah, maybe,” Damian replied.
Callie stared at him. She couldn’t believe Damian was siding with Ryan. He was supposed to agree with her and tell her Ryan was being a jerk. Instead, he was defending Ryan.
“This is my fault,” Damian suddenly said, and Callie looked at him, confused. “I knew he was struggling with his feelings. It was one thing to just watch us, but I should never have suggested he join us.”
“There is nothing wrong with what we did,” Callie objected.
“I know that, but in his mind there was,” Damian interjected quickly.
“Think about it from his side, Callie. He always believed he would have a wife again one day, probably with two kids and a dog. It never crossed his mind that he could be attracted to a man, and it’s confusing the hell out of him that he’s attracted to both of us at the same time. ”
“Then what do we do?” Callie asked.
“Let me talk to him,” Damian replied.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Callie objected.
“It can’t make it worse,” Damian said. “And if nothing else, I’ll decide for him, make sure he knows it will never happen again, and then you two can live happily ever after.”
