Chapter Three #4
“Yes, Damian,” Edward confirmed. “I asked for him and was told he was dealing with a medical issue. I was hoping he was feeling better and that I could entice him with a job.”
Ryan was furious. He wanted to yell at Edward to get out of his office. The idea that this man would openly discuss hiring Damian enraged Ryan. Suddenly, he realized why he was upset; he was being protective and possessive. Edward watched Ryan’s reaction with interest.
“You don’t need to speak with Callie,” Ryan said carefully. “I can tell you that Damian isn’t returning to the Service in the foreseeable future.”
“Is he that sick?” Edward asked, concerned.
Ryan shook his head; he didn’t want to share any of Damian’s personal matters with Edward, especially if there was any risk of it getting back to the Night Service.
“He needs to rest,” Ryan said. “He will be OK, but he needs time. That’s all I can tell you.”
“Thank you for that. I do hope he recovers quickly,” Edward replied, but he didn’t leave. Ryan waited to see what else he wanted.
“You don’t seem to be the person I thought you were,” Edward said carefully.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Ryan replied defensively again.
“Callie, I understand,” Edward continued. “She is beautiful and brilliant. It was clear she wouldn’t last long in the Service. But your connection with Damian is interesting. I would have thought you would want Callie to avoid that man at all costs.”
“Do you have a point?” Ryan asked.
“I realized you are much more open-minded than I had thought, especially after what you did at my party,” Edward replied.
“We were really drunk,” Ryan replied.
“Not that drunk,” Edward said. “I got your message. I suppose I should assure you that you have nothing to worry about with me regarding Callie. I’m happy for both of you.”
“Thank you,” Ryan replied. He was confused by Edward’s interest in his personal life.
“I hope you keep an open mind,” Edward continued. “There is much to enjoy if you do.”
“What did you want Damian for?” Ryan asked, curious. He knew Edward offered opportunities for people to explore their fantasies in a safe environment, so he wanted to know what he was planning next.
“It was just an idea. Nothing like what you saw before,” Edward replied. “That was a one-off event, and trying to recreate it doesn’t have the same impact. This was going to be more of an erotic art exhibit. A look, but don’t touch event.”
“Oh,” Ryan replied, now even more curious.
He realized that Edward was treating people respectfully.
All of the “special” activities Edward had planned had been classy, erotic, and safe.
Ryan began to realize that Edward was inviting them into his inner circle, but Edward wasn’t sure whether he could trust Ryan yet, or whether Ryan even wanted the invitation.
Edward stood and started toward the door, but paused. He seemed to be considering saying more. Then he nodded and smiled at Ryan.
“I hope you’ll consider attending my next gathering,” he said finally. “I’ll email you the details.”
Edward left without waiting for a response, and Ryan was once again left alone in his office with his thoughts.
He tried to understand why Edward was so interested in him.
Why did Edward care whether Ryan was open-minded or not?
But he was wrong. Ryan didn’t feel open-minded at all when he thought about how he had reacted to Damian.
Another knock came at the door. Ryan was about to tell whoever it was to leave him alone, but then Callie entered his office.
He smiled and relaxed. He quickly approached her, pushed her gently against the door, and kissed her.
“What’s that about?” she asked when he let her go.
“Just one of those days,” he said. “But you made it better by just being here.”
“That’s really sweet,” she said.
He reached around her and locked the door.
“I was going to see if you wanted lunch, but I guess you have other ideas?” she said.
“Absolutely,” he replied.
He lifted her, and she wrapped her legs around him as he carried her to the sofa.
He laid her down gently and began unbuttoning her shirt and pulling off her skirt.
He wanted her desperately and kissed her deeply again as she started to pull his clothing off.
He slowed to ravish her as she lay naked beneath him.
He kissed her neck and chest, then gently bit her.
She cried out softly, and he continued. She began to breathe heavily, pulling him closer as her desire grew more desperate.
When he entered, she was ready for him and began moving with him, matching his quick, eager motions.
He knew they wouldn’t last much longer as they continued their zealous movements.
Callie bit into his shoulder to stifle her cries as she came, but the sudden shock of pain made him lose control as well, and he quickly shuddered with her.
“I’m so sorry,” Callie laughed once they had caught their breath. “I would have cried out otherwise.”
“Well, if it was that or the whole office hearing us, I’m glad you did that,” he replied, holding her tightly.
“What were you meeting Edward about?” Callie asked.
“He wanted to invite us to another party,” Ryan said.
“Don’t lie to me,” Callie said. Then he felt her hand on his cock as she started to stroke it. “I have ways to make you tell me the truth,” she said as she continued.
“Oh god,” Ryan groaned as he started to get hard again.
“Tell me, Mr. Grant,” Callie continued. “What were you and Mr. Kline discussing?”
She tightened her grip as she continued to rub him with her soft hands. Ryan let her continue for a while, enjoying it.
“It’s the truth,” Ryan groaned, but he hoped she wouldn’t believe him. He didn’t want her to stop.
“Fine, don’t tell me,” she said, suddenly stopping, then getting up and gathering her clothes from the floor.
Oh no, you don’t,” Ryan said, pulling her back onto the sofa as she laughed. “You can’t start something like that and not finish it. And by the way, I was telling you the truth.”
