Chapter Seven #3

She left Ryan sleeping beside her. His body was warm against hers, and she realized they were both naked.

She wondered if they had made love. She wasn’t sure, but she wanted to now.

She felt guilty for getting mad at Ryan, especially since she was now also very drunk, and she had an intense urge to make it up to him.

She wasn’t sure why she was so aroused, but she suddenly needed him, no matter how buzzed she was.

The room was spinning, but she moved on top of him, kissing his neck and chest. He woke to her touch and groaned, and Callie took that as approval.

She moved a hand onto his cock and found he was already hard.

She guided him into her, the room spinning again, and she needed to lie on top of him, or she would tip over.

But he held her tight to him and started to move his hips up to push himself to her.

As he became more aware, he switched positions so he was on top but still holding her tightly.

She kept her eyes shut tight against the spinning room, but her need for satisfaction was dire.

She wrapped her legs tight around him as he moved a hand to her ass, pulling her up as he thrusted down.

He was eager; his movements and touches were tempestuous, and she felt herself getting close as he intensified his momentum.

They came together, holding each other tightly. Then the room spun faster, and Callie passed out again.

Ryan’s head was throbbing, and sunlight poured into the room through the open curtains.

He just wanted to go back to sleep, but he wasn’t sure he wouldn’t need to vomit.

He took a few deep breaths and sat up. He realized he was alone in the room and wondered where Callie was.

He suspected he would find her in the dining room, still upset, waiting for him with a coffee.

He knew he needed to apologize for how he had behaved, and he would rather do it now than on the long car ride home.

He pulled on jeans and a shirt and headed to find Callie.

It wasn’t a large house, and he and Callie were the only guests.

The dining room was empty, which confused him.

Callie had nowhere else to be. He messaged Callie, then Marco, and waited.

He was through his first cup of coffee, and there was still no reply.

When someone finally joined him, it was Nathan.

“What are you doing here?” Ryan asked.

“I’ve been trying to reach Marco to coordinate the schedule,” Nathan said. “I thought he’d be with you.”

“Maybe he’s here. I haven’t seen him, though,” Ryan shrugged. “Have you seen Callie? She’s not responding to me. I know she was mad at me, so I’m not surprised she’s ignoring me.”

“The last I saw of her, Marco had returned to the party to bring her here,” Nathan said.

Ryan’s phone started buzzing. He was expecting a reply from Marco or Callie, but instead it was from his mother. Her message confused and worried him. She had written, You need to come get your whore girlfriend and driver.

“What the fuck?” Ryan said, and Nathan looked at him with concern. “Can you drive me over to the house?”

When Callie woke again, the room was bright with sunlight. She lay still for a few minutes as her head throbbed. She felt terrible. She could feel Ryan stirring beside her, and she rolled over to face him. But when she did, she screamed.

“What the fuck,” Marco yelled as he moved away from her. He was lying in bed next to her, both of them naked. He grabbed a blanket from the bed, wrapped it around himself, and got up, moving as far away from her as possible. She pulled the sheets tight up to her neck.

“What are you doing in here?” Callie yelled at him.

“Me?” Marco asked. “This is my room. What are you doing here?”

Callie looked around and realized, for the first time, that she was not at the B&B house.

“What am I doing here?” she repeated.

She was completely confused. Where was Ryan? Why was she waking up with Marco? But most importantly, had she and Marco had sex? The room certainly looked like they had. There were empty bottles of wine and even condom wrappers on the bedside table.

“I have no fucking clue,” Marco said. He was just as terrified and confused as she was. “The last thing I remember was coming back to pick you up. Jesus, Callie, did we...?”

“Yes, I’m pretty sure we did,” Callie replied in a quiet voice.

She could still feel the wetness. She knew they had sex.

The memories of the encounter were flooding back to her, and when she reflected on it with a clearer mind, she knew it hadn’t been Ryan she had been with.

She looked at Marco, mortified. How could she have gotten that drunk that she would lose all judgment and sense?

She had never been attracted to Marco. She would never have pursued him.

“Why didn’t you stop me?” Callie whispered through tears.

“God, Callie, I have no memory of last night. I have no idea what happened,” Marco replied, panicked. “No one ever needs to know. We never speak of this again, and we pretend it never happened.”

“What about Ryan?” Callie objected.

“This would kill him,” Marco said urgently. “Neither of us wanted this to happen. We have no idea how it happened, so let's pretend it didn’t. Callie, I’m married. This will end that. Please, let's never speak of this again.”

“You’re married?” Callie repeated. “Oh god!”

She didn’t like lying to Ryan, but Marco was right. This would kill Ryan, and she didn’t want Marco’s marriage to end. Callie believed Marco. There was no way he would ever betray Ryan like this. But with neither of them remembering what happened, they could never explain it.

Callie started to get up, intending to dress and leave, when the door suddenly opened.

She thought her heart would stop when Ryan entered the room.

He didn’t speak at first. He stared at both of them, just as speechless as they were.

A flood of emotions crossed his face. Eventually, he settled into a state of infuriation.

“Ryan, it’s not what you think,” Marco began.

“You guys are naked in bed together!” Ryan yelled. “What the hell else would it be?”

“Ryan, I’m sorry,” Callie cried. “Please listen to us!” She was terrified by how angry he was. She thought he would take a swing at Marco. Ryan looked at her, but he couldn’t meet her eyes, she could see he was completely disgusted with her.

“And you!” he yelled at her. “Are you just going to fuck the first guy you see whenever we have a fight?”

“It’s not like that. Please just listen!” Callie begged, his words feeling like a punch to the gut.

“Listen to what? I can see everything!” Ryan continued yelling, looking around the room.

Callie didn’t know how to explain it. There was evidence of their evening, with empty wine bottles and their clothing scattered across the room. They all knew what had happened, but she had no idea how.

“Ryan, we have no idea what happened,” Marco tried to explain, but Ryan cut him off.
