Chapter Twelve

Indy

Seth and I sat at the bar. Things were winding down.

After shifting with us, Bram went back to the kitchen to finish his work.

Seth and I ordered food. A lot of it. We each got a salad.

No question we liked to graze. Still hungry afterward, we shared an order of wings and fries.

Damn, those fries were the best I’d ever had.

I’d stopped drinking alcohol hours ago. Ice water was my thing. If I was going to spend the night with my two fated mates, I didn’t want to be impaired in any way.

“Bram should be here any minute now,” Seth said.

“How are you feeling about everything?”

“Wonderful.” He hesitated, eyeing me. “How about you?”

“The same. Wonderful. But it’s a lot and so fast.”

“Do you want to take it slower?”

I reached out and touched his hand. “No. Everything’s just right as long as you’re beside me.”

“Good.” Seth turned his hand over and wrapped his fingers around mine. “Now, I’ll be beside you forever, Indy. There’s no going back from this.”

My heart fluttered. To think I’d been sad when we’d left the hotel, and now it had come full circle. I’d had no clue what we were walking into when we first arrived.

I did.

My unicorn could be a feisty know-it-all…when he remembered to communicate.

“Wonder what they’ll say back home.”

Seth got a distant look. “We have a lot to figure out.”

“Will they accept this kind of mating?”

“They’ll have no choice.”

Just then, Bram appeared at the end of the bar. There were still a few people around, sitting, chatting, but my eyes were only for him. He approached us, his gorgeous smile a bright light in the shadowy club. Seth and I stood, facing him.

“Ready to go downstairs?” Bram asked. “My place is small but really nice.”

“We’d love to see it,” I piped up. My voice sounded loud in my ears. Just seeing Bram had my forehead itching. My skin heated. Every alpha cell in my body came alive.

“I never invite alphas I’ve just met to my place.” Bram let out a nervous chuckle. “But this is different. Very different.”

I glanced at Seth, who looked right back at me. Seth spoke. “We’re both good with whatever you want. If it’s talking all night, we’re here. We want to know everything about you.”

“And I want to know everything about both of you. Unicorns? Never did I ever think I’d even meet one, let alone two.”

“I never thought I’d have a predator as a fated mate,” I quipped.

Seth bumped me gently with his elbow. “But we love wolves.”

“Don’t ever worry about me. I keep my beast well-fed and run him every day.” He laughed. “That said, he’s been talking nonstop all evening and says you’re both stunning. He’d never ever harm you.”

“We know that,” Seth replied.

Bram was joking with us. Nerves, I guessed. Shifters didn’t hunt each other. That wasn’t our way. But so many sought to marry only within their own species. It was true for most unicorns. Finding out a wolf was our fated mate had been, well, unexpected.

Bram turned. “Follow me.”

He led us to a hidden alcove where we took an elevator to his floor. We exited into a well-lit foyer with flowerpots and fluffy couches. This place was like a fancy hotel.

Bram walked down a wide hall to a blue door, pressed a code into a tiny keyboard, and the door opened. Inside, the wonderful scent of our new omega poured over us. I saw Seth jerk. I took a deep breath. Fate really knew what she was doing.

As soon as we all stepped inside and the door closed, none of us moved. Finally, Bram waved both arms and said, “Here we are.”

“I like it,” I said.

“Nice place,” Seth said.

It was like a dream, voices muffled. My beast silently shivered inside me.

My alpha self wanted to bite-claim both Seth and Bram, now.

I’d always thought I would never be able to do that with Seth.

It would be a stranger who would receive my bite, someone I didn’t really love.

I’d only just met Bram but he wasn’t a stranger.

And Seth was by my side. In this moment, every wish I’d ever made was coming true.

Softly, Bram said, “Can I show you the bedroom?”

“Please do,” Seth said.

I could only nod.

It was tidy and clean, the bed neatly made. Bram had a big-screen TV on one wall. There were no windows but the room was bright, open, and airy. Then Bram was talking, soft and low.

“It’s always been my dream to find my fated mate.

I wasn’t sure I even believed. But now I have two.

And I feel so…so full inside. Like I’m in heat or something.

I need to be claimed, if you both agree.

I almost can’t breathe I want it so much.

” That last sentence was spoken in a whisper.

“But I also don’t want to do anything to come between you two. I can tell your love is strong.”

I stepped forward. “You complete us.” It sounded almost corny but it was the truth.

I felt emboldened by Bram, and by Seth at my side.

No longer sad or scared or resenting my birthright.

I leaned down, put my hand against his cheek, and kissed him.

Seth’s palm touched my back, a warm reassurance.

I’d always thought of Seth as the bold one.

Both of us were alphas, but Seth was just a little bit more dominating.

Yet, here I was, the first to kiss our omega. Such a reverent moment.

I felt as if my body had dived into luscious liquid warmth.

Bram moaned softly against my mouth then fell against me.

I caught him in my arms. Seth came around me and together, we lifted him onto the bed.

Already, Bram’s eyes had rolled up as if in a heat-trance.

His still-clothed body arched in invitation.

We both got on either side of him on our knees and without a word began to undress him.

It was like peeling away the layers to the center of my heart.

First, his shirt came off, then his pants, shoes, and socks.

Only his underwear remained. He had on a gold chain with a tiny Tree of Life charm that slithered over his neck like glitter.

I kept staring at it, my beast finding just the right spot to place my bite.

“Should I take it off?” Bram asked.

“No.” I kissed his neck just above the chain. “It’s beautiful on you.”

When I lifted my head, I saw Seth stroking Bram’s shining hair.

Seth had lost his blazer and looked incredible framed in the pale pink of his shirt.

Tan and strong and fit. I bent over and grabbed the back of Seth’s neck.

He went with it, and we kissed. I moved my mouth down over his jaw and throat, licking, kissing, looking for the perfect claim-bite spot on him as well.

Who would I bite first? It made me dizzy to try to choose.

Before I could stop myself, I nipped him.

Seth groaned, baring his entire throat to me. Bram tried to sit up, but we were in the way. I placed my hand on Bram’s chest, broke away from Seth, and kissed Bram’s neck again. Seth mirrored me on the opposite side.

“Just do it already, alphas,” Bram whispered. “Together. Both at once.”

I bit down, my eyes still half open. Bram, Seth, and what surroundings I could still see began to melt. I entered a watercolor world where I heard distant hoof steps and a singing wolf.

Next thing I knew, I lay naked in a glimmery glade, the grass like green velvet beneath me.

Seth was on top of me, inside me, biting down on the side of my neck.

He held my legs up and apart as he made love to me.

He was human except for the single silver horn jutting from his forehead.

I threw my head back in ecstasy only to see Bram, two bite marks prevalent on his neck, kneeling beside me.

Without a word, as Seth pulled away, Bram straddled me and then I was inside our omega, my hips pumping, my orgasm climbing. Bram threw back his head and howled.

How was this possible? The three of us joined together had created this place.

Or I did. I wasn’t sure. I did tend to have a powerful imagination.

Overwhelmed with devotion and love, I let go and let my orgasm ripple through me.

Bram took everything I had to give. I knotted him immediately.

We stayed connected for about ten minutes, Seth caressing us, then as my knot dissipated, Bram lifted himself up and, still crouched over me, presented himself to Seth.

It was all like a mingling of soul and spirit. Magical, as unicorn life had become when two unicorns in love also loved a wolf.

I saw the power of the wolf before me, erect and dripping. Bram’s beautiful cock jutted forward full and stiff with desire. As Seth took him, I stroked him until he howled again, letting loose, sprinkling my chest with his pleasure.

When the bedroom appeared around us again, I noted the three of us lay entwined, naked in a pile in the center of the bed. I was on the bottom but didn’t feel the weight of it, only the safety, the trust, the love.

I had no memory of how my clothes were removed. I saw my sparkly vest tossed over a nightstand. Seth’s pink shirt sat like a crumpled observer down at our feet.

Finally, someone spoke. “Indy, can you breathe?”

“Uh-huh,” I answered.

Lips caressed mine. Fresh oxygen. Warm air. Seth and Bram combined.

When my heart had been breaking, when I thought my life was ending and I was experiencing my last days with Seth, this was what Fate had delivered.
