Mark Her
The next few days passed by in a blur. Olivia and Colin took a plane to a neighboring country and stayed in a hotel while Colin did business, leaving her to roam the nearby stores. Olivia didn”t plan to purchase anything, still uncomfortable with spending money. But she window shopped until her heart was happy.
She was currently standing on the sidewalk outside of a store, looking longingly at a pair of heels in the window display. She went inside to try them on before seeing the price. Her eyes widened in shock at the sticker price, and she put them back, telling the stylist that she changed her mind.
Walking out of the store empty-handed, she went to a café and got a cheap cup of tea, sitting at a small table on the outside patio and enjoying people watching. Enjoying that everyone walking by her was dressed so differently.
Olivia glanced down at her outfit. She was in a light blue wrap dress with red heels and a simple gold necklace hung from her neck with a solitary diamond. A beautiful silk floral scarf decorated her shoulders, another gift from Colin. Turning her head with an idea forming, she sighed with relief as she could see their hotel from the sidewalk.
She looked at her phone and pulled up her maps app and seeing a men’s store close by within walking distance. Paying for her coffee, she slung her purse over her shoulder, happy that the pain was now completely gone. Olivia walked down the sidewalk, enjoying the cool air before they had to head to the airport to head back home. It was their last day and Colin had left early that morning to finish up his business.
Hearing her phone ping, she plunged her hand in and extracted her phone. Colin.
What’s my girl doing?-C
Olivia smiled.
Missing you. Walking, and enjoying the fresh air. How’s work?-O
Would much rather be with you right now. Those heels are beautiful on you, by the way. I should have said that this morning. -C
You tell me how cute I am all the time. Don’t beat your handsome head up about it too much, ok? Gotta go. Cause trouble for me. -O
I’ll burn this country down for you if you ask me.-C
Olivia bit her cheek with a little laugh. She sent him a brief video clip of a woman swooning as a reply and put her phone back into her purse as she entered the luxurious store.
Looking around, she contemplated. What could a man who has everything, want?
She bit her lip, heading hesitantly to the cologne section, refusing help from a young gentleman who appeared at her side. She took her time, going through every scent until she found the perfect one. Turning, she walked to the tie section and grabbed a green one, hoping that he’d wear it and think of her.
Olivia then meandered over to the grooming area and pursued the multitude of serums, oils, cases of small combs, brushes, and small scissors. She took her time and handpicked a few things she thought Colin might like. She walked to the register gave it all to the young man to ring up.
Slightly wincing at the price, she pulled out her personal card and gave it to him to swipe. Colin gave her a card to use for other expenses, but she wanted to buy this with money she felt she’d earned.
Swallowing the wave of nausea that came with making a big purchase. Lightly sweating, she picked up the gift bag and bid the clerk goodbye before heading out the door. Passing a florist, she went in there as well, buying a few fresh bouquets of flowers and a vase.
With a self-satisfied yet nervous sigh, she headed back to the hotel with her purchases.
Back in the hotel room, Olivia stood in her bare feet in the blue full-service kitchen and clipped the flowers, placing them carefully in the vase. She’d never had the luxury of buying flowers or making an arrangement, and she savored the experience. She swayed slightly, listening to a song play on her phone while sipping her chilled white wine.
She glanced across the space and at the nightstand in the bedroom where Colin’s gifts were tucked away and wondered how he’d react once he saw them. She furrowed her eyebrows before suddenly paling, wondering if the gifts were too plain, too functional. He’d been gifting her with jewels, clothes, and elaborate things. And she bought him a tie.
Fighting fresh feelings of inadequacy, Olivia wrapped her arms around her torso, lost in thought.
Moments later, Colin rounded the corner with his dark blue suit jacket across his arm. Spotting her, his steps slowed as he took in the expression on her face. Her features were melancholy, seemingly drawn tight with worry. So lost within herself, she didn’t notice his presence, too absorbed deep in thought.
“Olivia,” Colin called quietly, not wanting to scare her. Despite his calmness, she jumped in surprise anyway. His brow furrowed slightly.
“Oh,” Olivia bit out a strained noise, putting a hand to her throat. He walked closer and dumped his wallet and phone onto the countertop. “I didn’t hear you come in, I’m so sorry,” her features changed quickly, breaking out into a smile.
Colin arched an eyebrow. “What were you thinking about just now?” he asked curiously, trying to keep the question from sounding like an order. He was genuinely curious, because he did not like that look on her face at all and wanted to avoid it at all costs moving forward.
“Nothing, nothing important,” Olivia breathed. In an attempt to reassure him, she reached out to touch his arm gently. Colin bristled, knowing she was lying.
“Hmm-hmm,” Colin hummed, reaching over to grab a glass and a bottle of whiskey, and poured himself two fingers. He sipped slowly, his eyes regarding hers tightly.
“Uhm, look,” Olivia said with feigned interest, pushing the vase of flowers in front of her closer to him. “Do you like it?” her voice was shy, causing Colin to give her a tight roving glance over her face, assessing her features with interest.
“Of course, I do. You know I love flowers,” he responded tightly. His mother used to keep flowers all over their house. “Where did you get them? They’re beautiful,” he continued the pleasant exchange with difficulty, not wanting to let her lie go. Struggling with the need to lash out and make her acknowledge her feelings.
Not going there yet. Not in a hotel, we have a plane to catch, we’re in a different county, I can’t afford to scare her, I’m not ready. She won’t trust me, I’m feeling too much to introduce her into this the wrong way and fuck her up, Colin ran through a list of reasons as to why he was denying himself. But all he could imagine was him wrapping his hand around her throat and telling her to choose between breathing and telling the truth.
“I put it together myself,” proud, she reached forward to maneuver a flower slightly. “There’s a little flower shop a few blocks down. I went…shopping,” she mumbled hesitantly, her eyes flickering to his, then back to the arrangement shyly.
Colin paused, immediately letting the irritation go.
He knew how hard it was for her to spend money and the thought of her voluntarily purchasing anything without being prompted to do so pleased him greatly. He made a soft sound in his throat, continuing to stare at her while taking another swallow. Wishing for the millionth time he could sink into her body. But he was not fucking her in a hotel. He wanted their first time to be at their home, in their bed.
Colin tightened in irritation of his own making. His rules were starting to get on his own nerves. “I’m very proud of you, Olivia. They are gorgeous and you did a good job,” he complimented her endeavors with a smile, placing a hand on her lower back and looking over the arrangement with interest.
Colin noted with pleasure that she seemed to have a way with colors.
“They’re for you,” Olivia”s voice carried across the quiet expanse of space so softly he wasn’t sure he heard her right.
“Hm?” Colin leaned closer to her. “What did you just say?”
“I said, they’re for you. I also bought a couple of other things. I just didn’t know if I wanted to give them to you,” she replied, that same uncomfortable look from before passing her face again before it was quickly gone.
Colin stared at her silently for a minute. Thanking God he followed his first mind and not snap on her like he wanted to.
“Thank you,” his eyes roamed over her face before landing on her green eyes once more before narrowing in recognition of her expression. Fear. That was the look he’d been unable to place. She was scared.
You don’t have to be scared of me baby.
Olivia nodded, pushing the vase back to the center of the counter, still not meeting his eyes.
“May I have the others?” Colin pressed gently, not wanting to make whatever feelings that were broiling inside of her worse. They were finally making progress; she was finally trusting him.
Olivia nodded, still not moving. Colin”s hand pressed slightly harder into Olivia’s lower back.
Come on, sweetheart. It’s okay, Colin thought, waiting patiently. He’d wait for the rest of his life if he had to.
After a long tense minute of them sipping their drinks, and Colin burning up with anticipation, Olivia finally moved.
Colin let some of the tension go, and he breathed a sigh of relief as Olivia walked away from him. He followed her into the bedroom, and then she turned to open the nightstand. He watched intently when she reached down and gave him a generous view of her backside in her blue dress before standing and presenting him with a small gift bag.
Colin smiled, letting himself feel excited.
“Oh, baby,” Colin whispered, hurriedly taking it from her and turning to sit in the chair next to them.
Reaching in blindly, he pulled out a small box wrapped in tissue paper. He glanced at her as he tore it gently.
“Kneel,” Colin ordered sharply, pausing in his actions. He waited patiently with the half-torn box in his hand.
Olivia tilted her head in surprise before her nipples hardened, visible through her dress. He licked his lips as she slowly sank to her knees in front of him. Olivia rested her hands in her lap as he put the gift bag on the floor in between them.
He finished tearing the paper and smiled widely at the cologne. Tearing open the box, Colin held it to his nose, smelling the aroma. He rumbled in pleasure. It was a masculine scent. Smoky, spicy, woodsy.
It’s amazing, his eyes found hers again as he blindly set the box to the side.
“I’m so fucking turned on right now. Hand me the next one baby. I want to accept any gifts you give me from your hands,” he ordered. Sitting back, he loosened his tie, pulling it apart completely before undoing the first two buttons of his shirt. His chest expanded, and he groaned quietly as he breathed easier, the tightness in his chest easing significantly.
Colin watched, tortured, as Olivia reached into the bag and pulled out the next gift that was wrapped in tissue paper as well.
He took it from her confidently, his fingers grazing hers as he pulled it to him. His breathing hitched slightly as he saw he was holding a grooming kit. An expensive grooming kit. He knew his smile had to be feral as his fingers touched the shiny gold devices nestled within the felt of the case. Holding out his other hand for the next gift, he stayed silent. The blood in his body was all congregating south and his cock was currently strangling him, robbing him of his ability to speak.
He opened the next gift, a small bag of beard shampoo and conditioner, oil, and serum. Olivia, mesmerized by his actions, jumped slightly as the bag crinkled in his hand suddenly.
“Is there anything else?” Colin whispered hoarsely. His heartbeat painfully against his breastbone. He adjusted in his seat slightly, his feet grinding into the soft carpet of the room as he attempted to get under control.
Olivia nodded and reached into the bag again.
“One more, and that”s it,” she whispered, her hand slightly shaking as she handed it to him.
Colin grabbed it eagerly, wrapping his hand around hers and pulling her towards him. Making her shuffle on her knees in between his legs.
He opened it slowly and became stone still before his eyes flickered to her. The warmth of his chocolate irises bored into her soul, melting her defenses and stealing her breath.
“It’s the exact color as your beautiful eyes,” Colin whispered; his lips parted as his heart constricted painfully. Suddenly terrified of the extent of his emotions, he let the tie unravel before bending forward and putting it to her eyes. She jerked in surprise, her small hand coming up to press against his wrist as he tied it around her head, cutting off her sight.
“Sir,”she breathed, feeling alongside the fabric on her face. Her lips trembled slightly.
“Leave it,” he ordered quietly. “How much did you spend, Olivia? Don’t lie to me. I’ll check your bank account if I think you are.”
She breathed hard.
“Fi-five grand,” Olivia whispered; her voice was shaky. She sounded like she felt slightly sick.
Colin moved fast, picking her up and tossing her onto the bed. Silently he crawled onto the bed after her, ignoring her shocked scream and her arms clawing for purchase against the comforter.
Mark her,the words echoed painfully in his head as he raised up slightly to grasp the hem of her dress.
“Why would you do that, huh? You know how I feel! You knew we had a plane to catch home and that I wouldn’t have time to fuck you the way you deserve,” Colin snarled down at her as he hiked her dress roughly up to her hips. Baring her panties to him.
Olivia whimpered, not realizing she would evict such a visceral reaction from him. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” she chanted, placing her hand on her mouth as she gasped. Her heart was racing.
“You fucking drive me crazy,” he continued, his English cutting off into Spanish as he unbuckled and pulled down his pants past his hips. Baring his boxers.
Olivia cried out as he rolled her leg up, hooking it around his arm and ground himself against her. Before pulling his hips back and thrusting himself against her sharply, ending on another hard grind against her clit. His hand came up to grab her breast and squeeze hard through her dress.
“God you’re right against my clit, grind harder!” Olivia gasped, arching her neck.
The desperation in her words struck a chord and he ground against her heavily, his lips falling to her neck right at that vein he loved so much and he tightened his teeth around it.
He felt her fingers between them, trying to slide the waistband of his boxers down but he grabbed her hand hard, hauling it up above her and securing it there.
“I don’t know what you’re expecting our first time to be like, but it’s not going to be a half hour quickie in a hotel room Olivia,” he growled into her ear. “Once I’m inside you, I’m not stopping for hours, amor.”
Olivia moaned as he banged his hips against hers over and over, scooting them all over the bed as he humped her viciously. He reached underneath her and pinched the skin of her right butt cheek in his fingers and pressed hard. Olivia cried out as she suddenly clenched, jerking against him as she orgasmed rather painfully. Her fingers bit into his shoulders, sending him over the edge with her. Colin shuddered as he ejaculated in his boxers.
“Fucking God. What are you doing to me?” Colin growled down at Olivia, still hard. Pressing his forehead to hers, he groaned as he silently willed his heart to slow down. He made a mental note to call his cardiologist when they got back to the states. He was sure she was going to kill him.
Colin undid the tie and stared down into her shocked face.
“Well,” she swallowed hard. “I guess that means you liked them?” a touch of hope was present in her voice.
“I loved them! You infuriating, ridiculous, beautiful woman. Fuck. I’m sorry, baby,” he said, leaning down to kiss her lips, realizing in his manhandling of her he hadn’t kissed her or prepped her.
“It’s okay,” Olivia said softly, a goofy smile on her face. “You really liked them, though? You’re not lying to me?”
“Honey, you could gift me a jar of dirt and I’d carry the damn thing everywhere with me all day proudly,” Colin said with a dark chuckle. Sitting back, he pulled her up with him gently. He stood up off the bed and walked to his suitcase, unzipping it.
“I have to change boxers real quick. Do you mind packing the gifts you just got me in with my suitcase, please? We have to go; we need to be at the plane in an hour and a half,” Colin”s smooth voice washed over her soothingly. Glancing at her, he noted that Olivia’s dark red hair was mussed, and she looked relaxed. Her lids lowering halfway down her eyes.
“Do you need anything, baby?” he tilted his head at her patiently.
“Nope,” she shook her head slowly, reaching for the gift bag and bringing it to his suitcase as he walked off into the bathroom with a fresh set of boxers.
An hour later, they pulled onto the tarmac and boarded the private jet. Olivia paused and looked around the area, still not used to this lifestyle. Holding the vase of flowers in her hands, she disappeared into the belly of the plane, handing it off to the airline flight attendant for safekeeping. Colin made her bring them. Laughing at her when she insisted that bringing the flowers wasn’t that serious.
“Who brings a vase of flowers onto a plane?!” she exclaimed incredulously. Feeling ridiculous as he made her walk around with a vase.
As they flew home, they discussed the upcoming week. Olivia shared with Colin that she needed to do some research for a design she wanted to implement into a drawing she’d been working on. She would be driving to work in the morning with him, but then would have to leave right away to go to her destination.
Colin was half listening to her while he tapped on his tablet, scowling at something. Olivia let him be. He’d been working tirelessly on their latest project, and she knew he and Johnathan had several irons in the fire they were working on. They ate and sipped champagne, arriving in the states slightly before midnight.
Exhausted, they fell into bed before having to wake up early for work the next day.
